Watching the video I counted 82 corners, though account for a certain margin of error on that for the little kinks and tightening and such that may or may not count as new corners. I'm a bit surprised by that actually. This track is longer than the Nurburgring 24h layout, yet that layout has 170 corners.

I would imagine you could only do that on other large tracks. Only being able to process so much at once. Which means you could probably do this on a few tracks like SSRX, Le Mans, Nürburgring, etc.

How come did no one of you realized he overtook 22 cars?!?!?!
I think PD sometimes runs the game on more powerful machines than the PS3. That's one of my theories on all their "broken promises" too, like maybe the finished all these features a long time ago on their PCs, then realized, "Oh wait, the PS3 can't do that. We'll have to downsize the course maker to 100km. Or 50. Or 10. Or... we're going to have to rethink this...

I have two words for this track:
Tank Car.
That is, if we can use it online.
yes (*o*)

I mean if this track is anything like the cop rooms that took part on CM tracks in GT5. Just add +200 ballast and no one'll be able to pass judging by the width of that road.

I think it has something to do with the draw distance. When car A is x distance away from player, that car will not be shown and processed. That's why the number of car seems to be high. Especially since this is a very large track.

I could be wrong though. All that is my guessing.

There's so much information here and I kinda skimmed through. I didn't watch the whole video because tiny screen in a tiny aspect ratio on a tiny screen (IPhone) was starting to obliterate my eyes, the people in the background were so loud (I just want to hear the game sounds, shut the hell up!), and I didn't want everything to be spoiled for me. Can someone fill me in with anything I might've missed?

Oh man, I don't want to sound like I'm concern trolling here but after watching the video (thank you so much TURISMOBAD!) I have a sinking feeling this will not be a track available for online play. No functioning pit and the way it starts just like the Goodwood track. Eep. :nervous: Still hyped though. Please let this track be available to just cruise around on.. pleeease.

That's exactly how it works. This is how online free roam games go about it.

IIRC in January sometime Kaz said that GT6 will run on an identical game engine to GT7. So they'll probably carry adaptive tessellation and such. That's probably why Kaz went giant track(Oh wait I leaked the PS4 details, keep it together Kaz) to small track where he probably saved himself from leaking too much GT7.

I have the same feeling. No arcade or free run. That's why I'm staying out of this for now.

There's a HUGE lake in teh middle...
Any chance of Zahara Powerboats ... :D
Speaking of boats....

Did you not see the pit entry indicators on the road towards the end of the video? I'm thinking the special event will be, if anything, a sort of throwback to games like Pole Position where you start at the back and have to work your way up with an absurdly fast car. And if there are pits, then my bet is on it being included in arcade races as well as online.

Read? I counted the cars he overtook, I counted 22
Must be the draw distance then than the actual 22 cars. When the car has passed long enough, it will disappear and the car on the front is loaded. Will be the reason why they will not pass and slow down when they about to pass/close the distance of the car on front.
