Until Kaz post the shilouettes will be confirmed, but the leak is coming from a reliable dataminer, is highly probable that it is correct, even though not 100% (is possible the car is delayed or canned for any reason, just remember the deltawing drama on GT6 or Lotus on GT sport)

Which of this rumors came from this reliable dataminer? 488 or Toyota GT One?

that GT one has to come out eventually
I wouldn't agree
there are rumors about "dataminer" finding ts020 which is coming to gt game...and there are also rumors "forza developer confirmed"..company paid alot for ts020 to not be included in gt game/ forza exclusive)

I don't know which one is true..but both can be correct or very very wrong

This Forza exclusive rumor feels like total bs. Especially with Toyota and GT having special connections lately.

I could believe in it if it was about Cadillac Hypercar or other american car. But not Toyota.

Well I didn't make up rumors...I have just posted it...
I don't believe that ts020 is coming to gran turismo , and I don't believe that forza has exclusive.. so both NO/NO
that's why I commented 2 days ago "PEOPLE STOP DREAMING" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

About Turn 10 is just ridiculous, because the GTone they used in the game is an a port from the 360 games, wrong livery, wrong model and the wheels not matched the real car and Toyota have a really strong relationship with PD.

How can you be so sure of the TS020 not coming to GT though? Like, maybe share your opinion as to why, and maybe we can understand it better....? Because all you've mentioned are rumours and didn't really go into detail of those rumours, or you just spew the words "its not coming to GT" in all caps lol

I don't love the Purosangue, but I respect it more than the Urus. Whereas the Urus is effectively a Q7/Cayenne/Tourag with a corporate engine, at least the Purosangue has the V12 and is on a bespoke platform. The 612 (the last pure/classic GT Ferrari) was a wonderful thing (IMO) but I can't see that car finding any buyers in today's market so the Purosangue kind of makes sense. For me it still does dent the Ferrari halo a bit - it's a model that's designed quite explicitly to bring new buyers to Ferrari and to expand production volume, two things that are the antithesis to such an exclusive nameplate. They are wisely capping overall production to 15k cars a year (I bet there are some vocal shareholders who want to throw in a V8 base model, price it at $200k, and sell 50k+ per year) so as to not fully dilute the brand, but the Ferrari of today is as laser focused on it's own stock price as Enzo Ferrari was on motorsports. All that said, I have no desire to see the Purosangue in a GT title when so many other Ferraris are absent. I'll take literally every other 4-seat Ferrari before that one. Would LOVE to see the 456GT in GT7.

Yeah we heard you last 5 prediction threads…
Don't project your hurt feelings on me LOL.

I haven't posted in a Prediction Thread since September 2023.... Additionally, it wasn't since July of 2023 that I forecasted "disappointment" as the result for a monthly update. You may be referring to other threads where I've expressed non-positive feelings about aspects of the game but there are plenty of threads where I've expressed measured levels of optimism, excitement and enjoyment.

Do us both a favor if you can't handle a snide/half-serious remark here or there. Put me on your ignore list, that way you don't have to see it.

My Cars prediction:
BMW M4 Turbo DTM '19 (Last year in this same month the RS5 Turbo DTM was released, and due to the rumours of a cool car coming to the game)
Audi R8 '16
Genesis VGT Gr.1

That’s a lot of words for someone who’s having hurt feelings “projected onto them”

Well, I wanted the satisfaction of thoroughly pointing out how wrong you were. And I figured you wouldn't put me on your ignore list because you want something else to cry about lol. I checked your post history, you're a White Knight for PD/Kaz, it's your thing. I get it, I don't shame others for their deviant interests lol.

Sorry what am I crying about? Seems like you’re the one projecting
Ah!!! The old, "I know you are but what am I?" tactic. Used when someone has no point to make but their ego won't let them admit they were wrong. Timeless!

I love the way the predictions threads always brings out the best in people.
They can be as good as the best of them and bad as the worse/So don't test them/You better remove over yeah!

If they're wrong, they've only made themselves look like idiots - not that this stops people visiting such channels. I saw one the other week which had as many views on its second "here's who Henry Cavill is playing in the MCU" video two days after its first one which named a different character. 🤡

It's worse if they're right, because they'll have pissed off the brands whose "we're coming to GT" ad campaigns will now have a dented ROI due to news leaking before their campaigns launched. This will lead to reduced willingness to be part of GT in the future, both through pure financial motives and because the PRs will be angry that the information wasn't controlled better once out of their hands so won't want to take the risk again...
With all due respect, since I admire both TheAdmiester and GTPlanet work, Mario Soler only talked about a leak found first in Discord and then in this forum. And he honestly spoke in a very respectful way. He was a bit hyped but yeah, it's the GT-One we're talking about. Same hype that made TheAdmiester revealed the car, and I totally understand the reason why he did.

Mario's been a hardcore GT fan for years like many of us. I myself signed up here before Gran Turismo 5 release, many years ago, looking for leaks and rumours about the game, since Polyphony communication towards his fanbase has always been lacking. So his video towards his small, niche Spanish speaking GT community is in essence far from different to any work doing here.

Furthermore, I know how sensitive some information could be, for sure. You don't need to be the sharpest clubman out there to know that. However, this automotive brand getting mad argument is just too much for a 7K views video, imho. It just seems like the legit spread of info slightly out of this circle just upset some of you. And I think being this secretive with relevant info is a bit nonsense coming from a niche community forum and discord server. The balance between risking data mining access and keeping the community out of relevant info imho should be a bit more... easy-going. Specially when revealing this kind of important car to the GT fanbase.

Even if Polyphony fixed the data leak, I wouldn't blame the GT community for hyping tbh. They just need to step up communication with its fanbase.

I hope I was as respectful as possible, love both of you TheAdmiester and GTPlanet work. Cheers!

I don't recall @TheAdmiester overtly revealing anything. Well, on here anyway - there was a mention of a car that a lot of fans would like, but I don't remember anything more identifying.

Weirdly, it has actually happened before.

I had a big, long post typed out about how car brands have all this specific, tied-in advertising lined up to be timed alongside either the general release of information or their own agreed-upon timings, and how journalist embargoes tie into that, and so on, but I felt it might be a bit dull. In essence though, yeah, PRs get big mad if they're info-gazumped because part of the circle can't control the information properly. Big mad.

I know of one case where one brand just won't do any games any more because they can't trust things will stay under wraps for their ad-spend on it (can't say which brand, or which game annoyed them; privileged info is almost as irritating as embargoes!) without leaking out and it's just not worth their time going through the whole process. There may be others, but I couldn't say; I know some other brands have similar reservations, but haven't reacted quite so strongly.

It just seems like the legit spread of info slightly out of this circle just upset some of you. And I think being this secretive with relevant info is a bit nonsense coming from a niche community forum and discord server.
So... not really. It's not our job to do any game developer's job for them when it comes to keeping their secrets.

I personally don't really care if the people who have the information and don't have an embargo to abide by (as I often do - although I also usually can't say if I do when I do, so don't take that as me saying that I do in this particular instance!) make posts or videos or whatever about it, and there's nothing in our AUP about not doing it on here either. That's why we don't police posts about datamines, or leaks, or anything similar.

Pretty much the only annoyance I have with leaks and things is when I do have an embargo and the information on the forum is legit but I can't comment on it... or at least not directly! However, that's just frustration at being shackled, and not irritation with those posting the info.

It doesn’t.
Harry Metcalf is pretty much the authoritative automotive journalist and founder of Evo magazine. He considers the Purosangue the ultimate GT and best way to experience the Ferrari V12. Precisely because it's long-legged and comfortable - while still having the dynamics of a sporting GT. The latest range of performance SUV's are replacements for the sports saloons and estates of old. Not a repurposed off-road vehicle with performance to spare. As for the Urus, I don't particularly like the design, then again I'm not a fan of most modern Lamborghini's. As a driving machine it will show a clean pair of heels to most performance cars - even on track.
Whether they add the 1998 or 1999 GT-One model, both would still be slower than the LMP2s from around 10 years ago... And far slower than the GR010 which is already one of the slowest car in PD's Gr.1.

Best lap during the race :
  • 1998 : 3'41'809 #28
  • 1999 : 3'35'032 #3
  • 2021 : 3'27'607 #8

The track isn't exactly the same though. It was faster at Dunlop but slower into Porsche curves.

Gr.1 is a mess, but car physics themselves are a mess here. Generally speaking, they generate too much downforce / drag, most have the the same amount shown in the setup which sounds really odd.
You have to be careful comparing cars from different eras due to factors such as tyre technology and race reliability. In the Group C era the Nissan R90CK qualified in 3.27 - during the race it ran 10+ seconds per lap slower. In '99 the Toyota GT-ONE sat on pole with a 3.29 pole - and ran race laps some 5-10 seconds slower. Today's Hypercars qualify around 3.24 - but can run within a few seconds of that time (consistently) during the race.

In GT7 all cars run on the same tyres and there are no reliability worries - so there are many variables compared to running in period.
Imagine getting three tracks in one update. We're lucky to get even one.
PD's record suggests we'll get one track at the start of the year and one at the end. That being the case I'd expect one by May.

I'd also like to see PD update some tracks with the latest signage and/or configurations.
