March 2024 update predictions

Gr.1 is a mess, but car physics themselves are a mess here. Generally speaking, they generate too much downforce / drag, most have the the same amount shown in the setup which sounds really odd.
This, definitely. I'm currently trying to make some LMH replica tunes (here) with the cars we have in Gr. 1, for my WEC custom series, so I'm testing all the cars except the old Gr. Cs. Well, a few key points I've noticed so far:
  • all the cars appear to have a high downforce setup and also a gear ratio for rather slow tracks;
  • proof of this is the fact that at Le Mans, on the Hunaudieres straight, NO car actually achieves credible top speeds (with the stock setup, the three LMP1-Hs struggle to go over 300 km/h);
  • the only real LMH present in the game, obviously the Toyota GR010, has a notable top speed but much less downforce and more weight;
  • in an inexplicable way, in my opinion, some LMP1-Hs (specifically, the Porsche 919 and the Toyota TS030) have upgrades available, while others (Audi R18 '16 and Toyota TS050) don't;
  • in the same category there are also non-hybrid but turbodiesel LMP1s (Audi R18 '11 and Peugeot 908 HDi), which can be upgraded to over 1000 hp and with a torque that sometimes does not make us regret hybrid systems;
  • then oh well there are some VGTs vaguely inspired by LMPs (Mazda LM55, McLaren VGT) but they deserve a very separate discussion;
  • as mentioned, I haven't tried them because I won't use them, but in the same Gr. 1 there are also the old Gr. C prototypes (with their usual pros and cons: high top speed, little downforce, poor brakes)...
In the end, in short: to me, as I have already said other times, Gr. 1 seems a bit like a mixed vegetable soup, or if you prefer a mixed fry. A much better distribution of cars would have been needed and the same could also be said for Gr. 3 and especially for Gr. 4. At the very least divide Gr. 1 into a "modern" and a "historic" group...

Ok if we assuming the GtOne comes to GT7, but not like a GR1 or GR2 and is just the uncommon road car. We already have the 911 GT1 but in the street version and with PD whatever thing could be happen.

That's a fair shout. Or double it for some.

"What do you mean my Lamborghini Gallardo Ultra Washing Machine Performante Superleggera Syphilis Astral Plane Telescope is not being put into the game?"
They can remedy that by under promising and over delivering but I get your point.

I actually wouldn't mind if we got the road going version of TS020 instead. It would be a great loss to not have the racing version, for sure, but the 911 Strassenversion is a lone wolf in the game when it comes to homologation models. We do have the 190 Evo II, but speaking strictly of Le Mans road models.

Alternatively, they could also give us other types of road going models, like the Nismo GT-R LM road version. The car in question has even appeared in every single game so far besides Sport, and is an iconic car of the series, and many people remember how the car was displayed in the intro for the first Gran Turismo.

But regardless of what we get, it would be nice to see more of these "road-going versions produced to create the foundation for the to-be racing version" cars.

Fans ask for cool, history-rich cars that we all know and love. Kaz gives Bulgari VGT nobody gives a **** about. And pretends to charge $5,000 pre-order. Ridiculous at this point now.
Have you considered the Bulgari VGT deal very likely brought revenue into PD that contributed towards funding GTWS events, the studio, it's staff, and free DLC?

It's no different to real world motorsport and event management. There's a need to find additional revenue streams beyond the initial upfront purchase cost. At a time when successful studios like Insomniac are being asked to make significant staff cuts - it's not much to ask fans of the franchise to look beyond their personal desires - and understand whats needed to keep the franchise financially viable.

The GTOne isn't out of the running for GT7, PD's relationship with Toyota is too good for it to not be.

Don't know if it'll be this month of course.

I would be absolutely heartbroken if they added the road car instead of the race car.
That would definitely set some stuff on fire here, because I'm sure PD themselves are aware they haven't added a race car in a while and something must be done about it, so adding the road version of such an iconic and highly requested race car would be an absolute trolling from them and... tragically funny I must say.

Of course. After all, it's just a business. That's what bothers me the most, it's not even well designed to get the most out of their users in a sensible and fair trade. Giving **** for free is not building a solid business relationship when you know you're just keeping your userbase with the bare minimum. Maybe better/more useful MTX's, proper paid DLC, properly paid championships for their racers, etc. could be better ways to have healthy revenue streams. There's a million games out there that know how to do this properly. However, PD and Sony decided to go the ****tiest way possible.

if they have such a good relationship...they wouldn't make unpractical ts050 car in game...
car is without upgrades..plus hybrid doesn't work right...

like scuderiapaul said many times....
icons should be in game: newer ts050 (2018), mk3 eagle( dominating car) , ts010 ( high df"closed back wheels" and low configs ) , ts040 ( which was a beast in my eyes ), etc...

Probably more of the same as last time - 3 cars and a few menu books. In terms of cars, I predict either 1 or 2 of the datamine cars because of the last update to me indicates the focus on these datamine cars (for being specific but most definitely won’t be these but I’ll predict):

  • Mazda RX-7 Type R ‘91 - haven’t got a first type FD RX-7 so would fit right in with the S14, GTO etc.
  • Aston Martin Vantage ‘18 - a newer shape sort of car is always welcome and I feel the Vantage will be very welcomed.
  • Either a VGT (I hope not), a debutant car or another old Gran Turismo return - if I had to pick one, I’ll go for the old Gran Turismo return with the Fiat Coupe Turbo Plus ‘00 (not based on the apparent leaks of it as I feel that has no substance in my opinion, but wouldn’t be surprised if PD decided to release it anyways).

Honestly, I don’t think any of these 3 will appear in the next update but you never know eh…
I just wanna know when I can have my 87 Buick GNX out of the datamine 😭 and it would be nice to be able to LS swap it if people want. I would also love to see the Chevelle return with the Nova & 67 GTO They could call it the General Motors package 😁

As much i would love new city tracks i dont think we ever see it, at least not in gt7 lifecycle, but hopefully gt8, kaz said that city tracks takes to long to make, funny thing is that gt7 is the only modern track racing game With a city track if i am not mistaken forza motorsport dosen’t feature any, maybe grid does, but there got to be a new track soon,
Apricot Hill raceway,Midfield raceway or twin ring motogi would be nice to again,
