Can't forget his first race, when half a dozen cars crashed put on the first lap, and he was able to soldier on and finish 6th for Minardi. Best of luck to Mark in the future, and best of luck to Ricciardo as his successor

It was 5th.

I'm really going to miss Mark from Formula 1, but seeing him in WEC next year is going to be very special.

Now that I see this image again, and sorry for going off-topic on this, but isn't the sponsoring and entry # incorrect on that TS020?

I thought the #2 TS020 driven by Mcnish had the "Venture Safenet" sponsoring on the front, while the #3 driven by Katayama had the "ESSO Ultron" sponsoring on the front.

I could be wrong though.

Bram Turismo, your right, thanks for catching the error. I got "carried away" with my reference photos and missed that. I used the #3 car as reference for #2. I do historical edits and try to be as accurate as possible, so, I will definitely correct this ASAP. I will edit in the correct sponsor "Venture Safenet". Thanks again.

Fantastic read. Makes me respect Mark even more. I hope he has a successful sports car career! 👍

The 'Vettel is just a copycat trying to be cool' brigade have gone awfully quiet.

Amazing article Mark wrote up about the key people in his career, all of us learned so much from this new insight! RBR does sandbag! Flavio isn't necessarily THAT bad, he talks about why his starts suck, Haug was bad ass, and Minardi was an awesome team:

Very cool article - shows that he was and remains a classy guy. Cannot wait for him to release a book (me hoping at least...)

Quite possibly one of the most awesomely manly things ever is going to happen now, Webber's going to drive the 12 hours of Bathurst with Eric Bana as his team mate in a Porsche in 2015:

As awesome as that news is, there's one problem with it, the 2015 part. It's so far away. :indiff:

I don't know who to root for next year now that Mark is leaving.. I found this on his Facebook fan page though.. a bit creepy isn't it..
