inconsistent force feedback e.g. on nordschleife where half of track provides ff most parts weirdly dont. curbs etc very weirdly done. car jumps and inbalances but still no feedback.

spinning out every corner when traction control is 0 sucks as well. How is Accetto Corsa able to handle it so well when PD with all the resources can't come anywhere near.
GT is made as a console game first and foremost that appeals to a wider audience.

Wow, that’s good news for sure. More of this communication please PD!

There’s still a bit of a way to go but I’m glad they’re starting to make some positive changes rather early on.

What would be a fair credit payout for winning a 24 hour event in the new Endurance Challenges?
5,000,000?

The fact that the endurance races are in the challenges section I think makes it more difficult for them to implement the possibility of changing the driver online, but at least I hope that from the beginning they allow saving the progress in the pits. Although it is also true that with the PS5 sleep mode it is somewhat less necessary than it was in previous installments.
I wouldn't do it for less than 24mil as it currently stands, and they have to have some type of pause mechanic that allows us to leave and play other races, or bring back b-spec. No way I'm playing for 24hr straight, lol. Couldn't find the time even if I wanted to play that long.

Though if they actually increase payouts to the point where we don't have to grind just to be able to afford a set of tires, I'll be a lot more likely to do events for the fun of doing them rather than only running the most efficient races.
I hope that people who have review-bombed GT7 consider adjusting their reviews (though somehow I doubt it) in light of the forthcoming improvements to the game.
If they do what they claim they are going to do, and do it properly, I'll adjust mine. But not before I actually see the changes myself.

Welcome news, and good to see so many aspects of the game's shortcomings are being addressed quickly.

That's great and all, but when are they going to give us all cars within 2 weeks. :D

Doesn’t that prove his point further? Making the game have too much oversteer and making certain cars very hard to handle doesn’t exactly bode well for a console game made for a casual audience. It seems like PD went for the harder=more realistic pov to make the game feel more like a sim when it isn’t.

Damn right bro!! That's hilarious

I like Elon Musk but I just really despise electric cars. Get em out of gran turismo (never gonna happen)
Haha I'm actually sorta the opposite. I have no love for electric cars, but I think they serve a purpose. Elon, on the other hand......he does some good things, but I also think he's a wingnut

This is one aspect. Considering how legendarily unhelpful Polyphony's patch notes are, and how deep the fox hole they are in is, it would behoove them to give detailed notes on how much credit rewards are being raised. I certainly see a glass half empty approach and that they'll simply be raising credit rewards back to 1.06 levels, but increasing the credit cap exponentially in order to push out the truly high level cars (the 250 GTO especially)

And of course, they still have not said anything about removing micro-transactions, AKA one head of the hydra, so they still believe that the game can be monetized that way, and a result more pressure needs to be applied because Kaz has shown that he'll take a yard when given an inch.
I'm okay with MTs being in the game, as long as the economy is not designed in a way that tries to push me towards them. If someone has more money than brains and wants to spend $200 for Kaz Bux, I couldn't care less, but don't make me feel like I have to.

Increasing rewards and adding more higher paying events is a massive step in the right direction towards making the economy more fair.

How does counterintuitive physics and force feedback achieve that aim?

Oddly even arcade titles such as Driveclub and Grid have managed to get the basic approaches right in both these areas while being accessible, so arguing that 'they made the physics harder, the FFB less communicative and inaccurate in comparison to reality, so it's more accessible' doesn't make sense.

Nope, please try again.

Needing assists for unrealistic handling isn’t great either. At the end of the day you just can’t admit GT went too far in one direction. PD is a large enough developer to create proper physics. Do you have any explanation for the awful rally physics?

I dunno, I haven't had any of these issues myself. Maybe it's just your rig...?

I don't have a problem with it. 🤷‍♂️

And that's the last post I'm going to make on the subject.

I personally love EVs in driving games. The instant throttle response and amazing torque is a lot of fun, plus they give an extra tuning challenge in having to compensate for their increased weight. It's like a whole new arena of tuning has opened up and I'm very much here for it.

This guy sums up my thoughts pretty much spot on. Will become a pretty good GT7 channel as well I think. I didn’t watch his other sim racing videos but for GT7 he’s already my favorite channel.

Maybe more people here should check it because he's right!

Have you missed the past two weeks? It's incredibly clear the game's economy was designed around pushing people towards them if they want to get anywhere. And as far as I'm concerned, they still believe they can wring some more blood out of that stone as long as they continue to be present within the game.

Well then you’re obviously satisfied with a poor physics model. Games from years ago from smaller devs have far better physics. There is no excuse for PD. Are you satisfied by the rally physics? People like yourself who constantly defend PD are the reason why GT is in the state it is in. Always satisfied with what’s given to you, even if it’s subpar.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Massive Changes Coming to Gran Turismo 7 in Response to Fan Feedback

Polyphony Digital studio head Kazunori Yamauchi has made a special post on the PlayStation Blog in which he has given more information about near-future updates coming to Gran Turismo 7, as well as an in-game boost for those affected by the recent server outage...

Ok, now review bomb GT7 - in positive way!

I dunno, I haven't had any of these issues myself. Maybe it's just your rig...?
I have them as well.

Snap oversteer is highly unrealistic on road tyres in GT7, update 1.07 dialled it back a little, but it's still inaccurate. Oddly race slicks, which should be less progressive are actually more progressive than road tyres. FFB lacks detail, is absent gross forces for curbs of all sizes, and gets understeer so wrong it's bordering on absurd.

My rig works perfectly well with literally every other racing title, sim or otherwise on the market. And I do mean pretty much every one.

Is it just me or are the payouts for sport mode races actually better in GT7??

Maybe my memory is trash but I don't remember ever getting 45k for winning a sport mode race in gt sport.

Someone probably knows better than me on this
I cannot remember specifically to compare the rewards from GTS versus GT7 Sport mode. I meant merely that GT7 Sport Mode competition pays too little in my opinion considering the skill required.

That XP thing, I'm with ya, I'm glad it did not return. Through a lot of driving, I achieved L50 within the first year. I received a pretty decal. I proudly (🤷‍♂️) applied it to each of my liveries.

I'm not a rally fan so I don't really care to be honest.
