^Oh, sorry. I can give you credit for it. He gave it to me saying he aquired it, so I didn't really know who to give credit to. I fixed the bandwidth thing by hosting it in two spots.

I had a problem with my Kingston USB drive not showing up in XP, and I had to go into Computer Management (right click on My Computer, click on Manage) and manually change the drive letter for it. I had the USB drive and another device fighting over the same drive letter & my USB was visible but unusable on the computer before I did that. Could it be something like that?

No problem. 👍 👍 Any luck adding credits to the gamefaqs 100% save?If you can make it work then that would be the only save anybody would ever need.I wonder how many credits can be raised if i sold about 400 of the ****boxes and just kept the race cars, probably not enough to pay for all the tires needed for OLR. :ill:

Well, I'm not sure what the deal was, but it seems to be working now.

I tried to boot the PC with the USB drive in tow and it crashed XP twice. It was the USB drive too. I removed it and rebooted and it fired up like a charm.

However, I put the USB drive in after booting and it recognized it right away.

So...perhaps it was a simple case of me improperly removing the USB drive several times last night. Smart me.

Anyway, thanks for all the help guys!

Hopefully I can get in on some OLR action here soon.

Here is the closest thing to an über PAL save.

94%
19 digit money
All cars in arcade and sim except for cars that are to be won in races not yet done.
Races not done are
Roadster 4hr
Nürburgring 4hr
Nürburgring 24hr
Suzuka 1000km
Motegi 8hr
Tsukubar 9hr
Le sarthe I 24hr
Le sarthe II 24hr
Fuji 1000km
Infineon endurance race

Formula GT.

once these races are done it will be an all car, in arcade and sim mode, all gold, 100% uberness save. Can someone be so kind and finish of the remaining races and post it back?

http://www.thewrongkey.com/shrapse/Dion/GT4/94%.max

enjoy

It is always safest to "stop" the USB drive before removing it. There should be an icon with all the other program icons at the bottom of the screen to allow you to safely remove the drive.

Yeah, there was. It's just the first time I've ever had the problem with any USB device. Ever. That was definitely the problem though.

Glad it got figured out.

Are you up and running now enuttage?

YES!!

Thank you for getting me off and running! I've been amazed at how helpful everyone is around here. It's quite amazing.

I submitted my qualifier lap last night and spent about 90 minutes trying to whittle down my time at 90s Fuji. I think I've still got at least two seconds left in it, even for my skill level.

This is fun stuff.

I will look at this gamesave, but I am creating a gamesave right now that will have $1 Trillion, it will also have a full garage and the arcade garage, whatever you call it, has all of the cars too. I am almost done. Later tonight I will finish and hopefully put it up tonight. If I don't put it up tonight, I will put it up for sure tomorrow morning.

Ok so I have a Sharkport, and I just went to copy all my ghost replays to the PC only to find out that have some totally off the wall file name, so I have no clue which file is which ghost replay.

So my question to you is, how do I figure this out ? It doesn't even tell me which replay it is in the Sharkport screen.

This is an example of one of the file names "GRANTURISave4152326700"

Any help would be appreciated
I am running Sharkport software 2.2 i beleive

Thanks

*Edit* I think I might have figured one way out though it's annoying, I have to check the dates of the file saves from memory card and the program, hopefully there is an easier way

I attached what I BELEIVE should be a replay of my S13 lap, if someone could let me know if it works would be appreciated

Hey, i just got a sharkport and it says the the computer does not recognize the USB when i plug it into the computer. It says unknown device. I just realized the sharkport says 2002 Interact so is this the reason why it does not work???

I have a Sharkport and I use it two ways. I usually download replays one file at a time. :grumpy: This way I know what to rename it. If I do a batch Download, I put them in their own file on the PC and use Arwin's Replay Manager to rename them. The replay manager can be found here at GTPlanet or at GTTimes. Thats where I found it. Just search for posts by Arwin. One nice thing about the replay manager is that it will tell you the fastest lap in a multi lap race save and you can read the car set up. It is not compatible with GT4 saves.

I don't have a Sharkport but everyone with a file transfer device has been having the same problem.
I got an extra memory card just to save 1 file to each time. That way I can tell which file it is that I want to transfer. Thats about the only sure way most people have found so far. Its goofy, in GT3 the save files showed their proper name on the file selection menu. Therefore you could relativly find the correct file with ease. But in GT4 it doesn't show a correct name, I wonder what PD did?

Cool, well thats good to know atleast I wasn't doing something wrong.

Thanks

Is there a fine upstanding citizen who will convert this to an xps save?

Speaking of which, is someone able to post all aplicaple programs that will convert files from Sharkport/Xport to MAX and vice versa?

Maybe we should create a "sticky" that will detail this information.

I know what you mean guys! It's crazy the lengths we have to go to just to post a replay  A couple of days ago my youngest lad Brad was requested to provide a replay for IB-14 as he has a stonking time for a youngster :) ...

anyway I set to it that same evening and at first went straight to the maxdrive and thought I'll just transfer .. no problem :dopey: No way! after a good look at the list of replays with replay 1 /2/3/4 etc.. I was getting puzzled how I was supposed to do it :dunce: Luckily I got guidance from Iceman on MSN who told me that I needed to get the spare card ready and transfer the data and when completed the new card would just have the selected replay and that would be it!

Still wasn't so simple and in the end I had to do it this way .. load GT4 replay theatre and find the replay I was after/ memorize the thumbnail picture that goes with it /exit GT4 and remove from PS2 and boot up PS2 in browser mode with memory card in only/ find the picture you memorized before and transfer it to the empty memory card / Then booted up xport with new mem card in and found the file I was after and posted it 👎 .... talk about going the long way about something :yuck:

Hopefully a new device will be released that stops us having to fart about like this because I dont think I have the patience to keep uploading replays in this way 👎 If someone knows an easier way then please enlighten me also :) 👍

Oh yeah! good luck to itsukivr6 with his verifying at gt.de 👍 Didn't take you long to get noticed!

thats what i do for max drive, though instead of "boot up PS2 in browser mode with memory card in only/ find the picture you memorized before and transfer it" I just boot up the max drive software and find the picture i memorized and transfer it to the Max drive, Very Very BS.

Im all ears to anybody with a easier way 👍

Yes I'm having the same trouble, but one way to help sort things out is to look at the date the file was created, and keep a note of what days you worked on what items. Unfortunately all of my 80 licences tests were all done before I realized how big of a hassle this was going to become so I'm screwed there.:ouch: From now on every time I work on something I just save it onto a blank and Max Drive it to the PC right away.

Hope fully one of you GT racers who is good at compooders an the interweb and stuff can make up a replay manager... (ARWIN are you reading this?:) )

All right, I've got a question for all of you file manipulation gurus. Would anyone here be willing to take my NTSC GT4 save and edit the amount of money to some ridiculously high amount, and send it back to me? I want to complete the game 100% on my own driving wise, but I really don't have the time or patience to sit there and run Deutch Touring car cup or whatever it's called over and over to get the CLK-GTR prize car to sell every time I want to buy a race car . I don't use B-spec at all, and I don't want any B spec on my main save, so don't suggest that please. If anyone's willing to help, I'd appreciate it.:)

Yes, please! I'd be more than happy with a program that would just show me something uniquely identifiable about any particular replay (the filename I saved it with, preferably). It wouldn't have to be anywhere nearly as complicated as Arwin's replay manager. No need to bother with which car/track/settings/etc, as I know that there's a lot of work to research all the data that would require.

Hey guys and gals!

Has anyone got any ideas on how to connect a ps2 directly to a pc?

I have my ps2 set up right next to my pc, as the desk is at the perfect height for my wheel, can surf the board etc whilst taking breaks from wrs.

I know i can transfer pics from photo mode via my mp3 player(have done it in the past) but surely it should be possible to connect the two via USB and save the trouble. also it would make submitting replay files a doddle. That is assuming i ever get good enough to have to LOL

thanx in advance

Neil (ballstothewall)

A TV card compatible with your PC and you'll be laughing 👍 ... connect from PS2 to the TV card with either av leads or S-Video, simple as that :)

That's an idea!

was thinking more about file transfer, and forgot the simplest solution.
However what format are replay videos for verification accepted in, as the haupage card i have laying around only records in avi?

I will try to finish my gamesave with all arcade cars today, but it might not happen because I am missing so many cars. I checked my game against the carlist made by TB, and I was missing a lot, but so was his car list, so I don't know how much I believe it. I am going to check the game from the official car list on the GT4 website.

CFM, the most I know how to give you is a trillion dollars.

You can download the .MAX to .XPS Converter Here.

Here is a list of the cars I am missing. It looks like I will have to race a few races, so my game will no longer be at 0%. I will also have to spend more time in the Used Cars garages. I think I might have missed a few though. It seems to me that I have some of these cars.

cardude, if you are willing to add the cash to my save, I'd really appreciate it. If you are, would you PM me and give me an email that I can send the file to? I don't think I'd need quite a trillion dollars! 500 million would be more than enough.:)

Good luck on unlocking all of the arcade cars, might be a bit of work. :scared:
