I recently break them in.

Nah, SAE-hp (because he's american) and bhp is pretty much the same. In GT5 it's exactly the same.

Mine says 678bhp in all my menus. It has 199 miles on it and doesn't need a rebuild so I guess I must have already done it, I just thought I may have lost a couple through oil changes instead of the rebuild. Not sure on that. It's why I asked here hoping someone could confirm it.

Most likely because you used it in a race with tyre wear off, the mileage still piles on but the engine wear doesn't happen, same situation I thought I was in with the Scud.
