you do realize that American Hybrid is an oxymoron, right? The Japanese make hybrids to improve gas milage. the Americans build hybrids to improve horsepower, which means, those electric motors in American hybrids, don't really do much. Case in point, the non-hybrid Ford Escape gets 31mph the hybrid, 34. Wow, 3mpg difference. The Escalade gets what, 15mpg normally and gets about 17 or 18 with with the hybrid. Not much improvement. And the hybrid models cost about $10k more.

If they're going to put electric and hybrid cars in, they should simply ad Tesla Motors. Although, technically, I believe Tesla's are considered exotic, so it just might be possible to see them appear. And the new 2012 Tesla Model S is just an awesome looking car.

Guess you don't know about the Fusion Hybrid.

Hybrid SUVs aren't going to gain much of anything on their highway figures. But compare their city mileage and its a pretty good improvement. They're heavy and that's a lot of work for the electric motors to work with. And those are relatively early hybrid systems as far as I know.

Hmmm... Just some odd, semi-legitimate guesses:

* Noble M400, M600
* Tesla Roadster
* Veritas RS III
* Caparo T1
* Gumpert Apollo
* Mosler MT900S
* Ascari A10
* Callaway C16
* SCC Ultimate Aero TT
* Radical SR3
* Ariel Atom
* Caterham R500 (?)
* Spyker C8, C12

All of them seem like reasonable choices, I think. Especially the Noble and Spyker models. I'd reeeaaallly like to see the Mosler MT900 in the game. Same can be said for the Ultimate Aero.

The same thing with the Fusion Hybrid. it gets a good 20mpg or so more in the city over it's gas counterpart, but get on the highway and the gap dwindles to just a 2mpg difference.

Which, I guess when it comes down to it, if you're just doing mostly city driving, yeah, it's a better investment, but, in reality, most people tend to use the highway to get to work, so...I mean what's the point of having an electric motor if, as soon as you get past 40, it shuts off? Also, those mpg estimates are based on someone obeying the posted speed limits, which, according to research, never happens. Most people drive about 10mph over the speed limit on average. That means on those 40mph roads, you'll be doing 50...which means you're electric motor won't be working...which means, most of the time you're not getting that lovely 41mpg.

Also, most cars actually get BETTER gas mileage on the highway. (which is what you want) the Fusion hybrid's mpgs go down on the highway. Becaus the useless electric motor shuts off on the highway.

Does somebody know if the forza dlc will get an Dvd release. I'm not logged into live, so i'm staggered with the original game size??

Best chance of that happening is when FM3 becomes a Greatest Hits title.

I would agree with Terronium. You can currently buy FM2 Complete Edition that has all the DLC content. It has the Greatest Hits packaging. You can buy just FM2, as well. But I would assume, after all the DLC content is released, they'll be a FM3 Complete Edition with all the DLC content. Just like Burnout Paradise, Fallout 3, LittleBigPlanet and a punch of others.

Sorry for the double post, but: Anyone know when the heck IGN is supposed to post the picks? It's 2:30pm PST. Are they sleeping or something? Maybe they're having too much fun playing with the cars...or something else.

First two have gone up...

Number 2 is definitely the Apollo Sport (the antennae and the air intake is a dead giveaway). I think the first might be the MT900, the louvers are throwing me off. :ill:

It also might be the Ascari A10

The A10 may very well end up in the pack, but it surely isn't what the first photo is. The only design feature the A10 has that comes close to being a louver is the grill-like area on the bottom rear of it.

*shrug* BTW, after looking at photos, the second car isn't the Gumpart. the center groove is sunk not raised like the Apollo. It actually looks more like the ItalDesign BMW Nazca. But it's not that, either.

But the Mosler sounds good for the first car

Actually, I meant the hood. It would also appear that the hood of the car is a split hood that opens vertically.

That's not the hood. :lol:

That's the B-pillar section of the Apollo, the splits you're seeing are the gullwing doors.

It's practically the same angle as the one here.

I forgot about Noble. Although they use Ford engines, they're still pretty good cars.

I don't know about past Nobles but the last one, M600 uses a V8 Volvo engine, supercharged to 650hp. I think the M600 is more than just pretty good though not for the faint-hearted as the brakes are ABS-less. 0-60 in 3 sec flat and it tops out at 225mph, it's clearly in the hyper-car category.

I'd pick this over the Koenigsegg any day.

The TC control OFF button is underneath this switch.

Actually Even looking from the top, the second pic still doesn't look like a Gumpart

that said, looking over the cars with Gullwing doors, there are only two currently in production: The Gumpart Apollo and the Mercedes SLS. and since Merc is already in the game, I would have to say it is the Apollo

Prediction list so far:

1. Gumpart Apollo
2. Spyker C8
3. Ascari KZ1 (or A10)
4. Noble
5. Aerial Atom
6. Mosler (I didn't predict it, but someone else did)
7. Weismann Roadster
8. Morgan Aero
9. Marcos Mantis
10. SSC Ultimate Aero

Green will mean it was a correct prediction, red will mean incorrect and the correct car will be in blue.

* Mosler MT900S

6. Mosler (I didn't predict it, but someone else did)

Yeah. I don't know how they could take themselves seriously without it. I just wonder if it is the MT900S or the Photon variant. Although, we haven't heard much about the car since 2006/7. Unfortunate, because frankly, its one of the best supercars money can buy.

I also wondered whether or not it was the S Photon; needless to say I just emailed "MT900S" as my guess. Hell, it could end up being neither and turns out to actually be the GTR.

This is going to be the easiest car pack to guess, I think. Because it's ten exotic car makers not in the game already. And all the ones on that list are VERY distinctive. And, going from FM3's more mainstream car makers theme, it narrows it down to about ten or twelve cars. It shouldn't be hard to guess what is what.

Also, the Caparo T1 could also appear in place of the Morgan or Marcos.

You won't be seeing the T1 (or any exposed, open-wheeled vehicle) in Forza because the suspension mechanics aren't modeled. Unfortunately.

lol...maybe in GT5, then. Heck even in GT4 the suspension mechanics were pretty good. (just watch the suspension on the Prowler)

Just goes to show you the limitations of the 360. *shrug* oh well. But watch the next Xbox be Blu-ray enabled...and then we'll see what Forza looks like in full 1080p. In the meantime, Turn10 has their hands full with the car and track packs and PGR5

Has nothing to do with the limitations. It's just Turn10's decision not to do so, which isn't surprising since they didn't model a lot of things.

What does Turn10 have to do with PGR5?

===

And I don't know about this car pack, I'm not a huge fan of exotics but if there is a Morgan in there I'll have to get it.

What does Turn10 have to do with PGR5?

PGR5 may very well be the "Next big thing" they were on about months ago, and T10 has been linked to continuing PGR since Bizarre was lured in by Activision after the fourth game was released.

It looks just like the Gumpert, there is one mistake I can see, unless the doors are different shapes where they hinge on different models but I wouldn't have expected them to be. But that is unmistakably a Gumpert Apollo either way. Are you sure your not just struggling to tell where the camera is positioned in the Forza pic?
