At first I was...but like I said, there aren't many cars with Gullwing doors. And only two are currently in production, and based on where that hinge is, it is most definitely the Gumpart. I agree.

Has nothing to do with the limitations. It's just Turn10's decision not to do so, which isn't surprising since they didn't model a lot of things.

Given the handful of vehicles it would benefit, I don't blame them. It sure would be fun to have a Caterham 7 and other track toys though. The KTM X-Bow doesn't have visible suspension does it?

Edit: Eh, I suppose it does a little bit.

But watch the next Xbox be Blu-ray enabled...and then we'll see what Forza looks like in full 1080p. In the meantime, Turn10 has their hands full with the car and track packs and PGR5
17 companies collaborated to create Blu-Ray and hold the patents to it. Sony is one of them, Microsoft is not. What do you think the odds are?

I'd say pretty good. I mean, Microsoft and Apple are competing companies, but both own stock in each other and make software compatible with the other's OS. It pays to have competition, and it pays even more to have a friendly competition. Like Turn10 and PD. Both respect what the other is doing and both have admitted to playing the other franchise. (Turn10 even encouraged people to go out and buy GT4). Besides, Microsoft has billions of dollars at their desposal. It's not like they can buy the software and hardware from Sony and the others. And if Sony were to just let the Xbox die, then they'd just be competing with Nintendo. And, other than the initial sales explosion of the Wii, Nintendo just isn't much of a challenge. It has inferior graphics, inferior online play, and a lousy game selection. And Wii sales are starting to drop off and drop off fast. In fact, the only way they've been able to mask this is by counting the balance board as hardware.

Competing with Nintendo wouldn't be much fun or very hard. It'd be more profitable to everyone to keep Microsoft around. And to do that, they need more room on their disks. as 8GB runs out fast, nowadays.

Microsoft and Apple can't stop the other buying a stock in the other, they're on the stock market nor is it an analogy that compares to this. Sony arn't on the stock market and Sony are the key patent holders to the Blu-Ray disk format. A deal for Microsoft to use the Blu-Ray disk would probably be far too in the favour of one or the other to be viable. And no, Microsoft can't just buy the software and hardware from Sony and the others, Microsoft could not buy Sony and they can't sneak in through the back door.

I think Sony would love to be just competing with Nintendo, they would have more sales as the 360 buyers would switch to whichever consoles replace the PS3 and Wii. It'd be more profitable for SCE for Microsoft to not be in the console market. I think sony would love to have the console market all to themselves to be perfectly honest. Competition is good, for the consumer, not to them.

Actually, that's not very true in the slightest. The only reason Nintendo is taking the path they're on now is because quite frankly they think they know better - and to be honest, they absolutely do know better. The only problem is they keep focusing on the younger audience which alienates practically everyone else. Nintendo could take out both Sony and Microsoft without batting much of an eyelid...they just have more experience (and know-how) in that specific market than both Sony and Microsoft combined.

Then there comes the problem of market saturation, that's another reason why Nintendo is as different as it has been lately. if every console offers practically the same abilities then what's the point of any more than one of them being in the market? And, about the sales figures....both the 360 and especially the PS3 has their fair share of catching up to do as the Wii is currently in the lead by a margin of .5-2x the sales of the 360 and PS3, respectively. Also, if Microsoft wanted to stick anything to Sony, they'd worry less about Blu-ray and focus on one of the far superior formats such as HVD. That particular example would take a fair bit of market research to materialize into a mainstream format, but the tech specs are worth it alone. I'm not saying MS should use HVD in particular, but there are optical formats out there that just quite frankly crush Blu-ray and anything it's capable of.

But...this has gone far off-topic enough. When the hell are the next pictures going to be posted!?

HVD? You mean Holographic Versatile Disc? The thing that Sony is thinking about using for the PS4? But, that's not going to even happen until about 2019. And, while Nintendo and MS are ahead at the moment, I don't think it'll take long for the PS3 to catch up. After all, the 360 isn't that far ahead of Sony. And every time the PS3's price drops, it's sales go through the roof. And with GT5 scheduled to come out around Christmas this year, I expect Sony to come out on top this year. And they're currently the only one of the three that's actually making money off their system. (That's why MS charges for Live and why There's no free stuff on Nintendo Store and why the Wii as a bazillion dollars that, when added up, cost more than the system itself.)

Anyways, back to FM3. Any word on the next pics?

The first is, as far as I can tell, the Ultimate Aero.

Second is the M15, I think. The M600 doesn't have a gas cap on the right-hand side.

I don't know. That Joss barely counts as an exotic. It looks like the illegitimate child of a Jaguar XJ-15 and the Nissan R390. But whatever.

1. Gumpart Apollo
2. Spyker C8
3. Ascari KZ1 (or A10)
4. Noble
5. Joss Supercar
6. Mosler (I didn't predict it, but someone else did)
7. Weismann Roadster
8. Morgan Aero
9. Marcos Mantis
10. SSC Ultimate Aero

I wonder if anyone will make the connection?

Of course, it's sheer coincidence and I'm placing no value on it whatsoever...but it's fun anyway. Look at three of the cars we're getting; where was the last Microsoft game you saw an Apollo (granted, it wasn't the Sport model..but that's only a "slight" variation), the Joss Supercar, and the Ultimate Aero (TT?)?

Anyone?

Anyone?

P. G. R.

It's as exotic as any other supercar.

That's a given. A illegitimate child of two exotic cars is, itself an exotic. It's just not as exciting as it's parents...unless it's got a nice big engine...or it's parents were insane to begin with...like if the Gumpert and Spyker got together...or Gumpert and Pagani.

The car is a lot closer to the KZ1, F1, & S7 really. Not much Jaguar or R390 in there except for the basic side profile & color.

What in the world is the Joss Supercar?
It's an Australian made supercar. I remember the first time I saw it was back in 2004 at the Adelaide Motorshow, it never went into production and I have no idea if it ever will. I can't believe it hasn't been completely forgotten.

Yes...I said it LOOKS like the spawn of R390 and XJ-15. I'm sure it's a lot better than both of those. (The R390 had a small V8 and, although the XJ-15 had the V12 that was designed for the XJ220, the car itself was incredibly hard to drive as Jeremy Clarkson proved by spinning it out a couple times.) The Joss uses more modern technology, so it probably handles ten times better, and, although it only has a V8 it's bigger 6.8L, Aussie V8..well, probably not really an Aussie built engine...a V8 that size sounds like it came from the US.

The creator is shooting for a 2011 delivery date & is still testing the car with a bit more power now, last I heard. He did an interview on an Aussie TV show sometime late last year.

lol...those Aussies are just as crazy as the Americans when it comes to big, powerful engines. I mean, the British and German have great engines, but their V8s are around 3-4L, whereas, in America, our V8s are almost twice the size. I don't think we have a small V8. I mean, Chevy uses a 5.7L as does Ford, and Dodge has there 5.8 and 6.0L V8s. And the GTO ran a 5.8L V8.

It's nice to see the Aussie's taking it a step further with a nearly 7L V8...to put it in perspective: The V12 in the Aston Martin DB7 was 6L. That means the Joss Supercar has a bigger engine than an Aston Martin...and it's a V8

All it means is that the Europeans (and Japanese for that matter) are just more efficient at getting the most out of an engine before deciding it needs to be bigger.

that's true. That and, to us, a 6.0L V8 sounds better and more impressive than a 4.0 or a 3.2L V8. (I believe the Audi TT 3.2 uses a 3.2L V8) :P Anyway, it's not the size of the engine that matters, it's how well the car uses the power.

ah well, there goes, that belief. :P

But I do have to agree. The Joss isn't very exciting to look at. It looks too much like other cars that are already in production. Which just makes it boring.
