It better not be the LM85. It would be cool to have the Spyker race car, but if that was the only model FM3 could get their hands on, they weren't trying very hard. I would assume it's the Spyker C8 Aileron or Laviolette. Note the one in the pic has glass and it's silver. The LM85 has less glass an comes in Orange.
Except, it's not. It has some development from the GT2R, but it's nothing like the N24. The N24 is a proper race car. This isn't.The Spyker LM85 is the same thing as the Aston Martin N24. It's a road legal race car. But it's not very practical. and, if you were going to put it in a game, it would be exactly like a game giving you ONLY the N24 in a game. it's great and all, but you'd rather have the DB9. The LM85 is great, but I'd rather have the Laviolette or the Aileron. This carpack is turning out to be kind of a let down in my book. I mean, the Gumpaert is great. as is the Mosler, but the rest...eh. I could live without.
Um, it's incredibly easy. The LM85 is the only model that comes in 2 colors together.I'm sorry, it's the N24 with a leather and a proper dashboard...that's like sticking a dress on John Cena. I'd still rather have the Laviolette...and it just might be that. It'd be hard to tell the difference between the LM85 and the Laviolette.
Mmmk, & your point is what? That the nearest car is the one they're going to model?I can see arguing it's not the Aileron, but the LM85 and the Laviolette came out at close to the same time, and are based on the same body. I also should take the time to argue that Turn10 is based in Seattle...which has a Spyker dealership...and if they can't get there, there's one two-three hours away in Portland, OR.
That's a bit ironic considering Joey & nism0 both here went to a local dealer in Michigan and found a LM85 sitting in the showroom. It'd be completely random to ignore the Laviolette and the Aileron and choose the LM85, which, I doubt you'd find at your local Spkyer dealer.
Rarity has nothing to do with. All Turn10 has to do is find a dealer (as they did with the Veyron), & ask to model it after acquiring the license. In this case, they did just that as there are a few LM85s around for sale. And, with only 24 LM85's made, it would make even more since to just use the Laviolette or Aileron.
The picture is in black & white. And, from where the pic is taken, one should be able to see at least some orange if it was the LM85. It's the Laviolette.
The great thing, again, is that this is all subjective. I know folks who are buying this for the Spyker alone, & some are buying it for the Devon. That is the one thing about the Forza games that's really kind of annoying. Generally, their car packs might have a couple great cars, and the rest are just kind of stupid or unexciting. So far. the only car I'd really be interested in is the Gumpert.
Why do you keep thinking rarity has any relevance? Or forget that it's all, once more, subjective? While you're thinking why the LM85, someone else is glad the Laviolette wasn't in.And if they're going to include more Spykers down the road...why the hell start with such an obscure one. I mean, granted, it's better than the D12, but still...I mean only 24 made, and not a whole lot different from the original car. Mainly just has a paintjob on it....still has the 4.2L Audi V8, still has the exposed gear linkage and interior, has some tweaked suspension...a little more horsepower, but...is it really worth it?
That's officially, the stupidest reasoning behind the LM85 I have ever heard. Most people have no idea what a Spyker is to begin with, & for those that do, they know the LM85 is the equivalent of the 430S, GT3 RS, & Superleggera; it's a car built for Spyker owners who do want to track the car.Sure, we were going to drive it around the track at high speeds anyway, but when you do it in an stock Laviolette or Aileron, people think your sexy, and sophisticated, but doing it in the LM85, people will know you're an idiot looking to get in some girl's pants. It's missing the point of having Spyker in a game. That's why no one's actually put the LM85 in a game before.
In your opinion. If I were to get this car pack, I'd just paint car black, anyway and pretend Turn10 actually understands cars better than they do.
Much more to it than that, so again, stop posting about the car. Also, after doing some research, I have come discovered that the only difference between the LM85 and the stock Laviolette...is the...umm...well, it's 25kg heavier...and it has the Burnt Orange/Silver S logo...which is how most of the 24 came...I guess there were a couple that came in the Silver/Burnt Orange S logo as shown in the pic....So, again...why did they chose the LM85? This REALLY is like buying a Malibu Stacy doll..just for the new hat...only here, that hat costs about $100,000.
Thats what I'm thinking, if a Mosler had've been in PGR I would've known about it because its one of my favourite cars. Can't wait til this car pack hits, that Mosler will be the first car I get my hands on (and probably the Radical or the Gumpert or the Spyker etc).
SuperShoudensorry, thought I saw it on the PGR4 car list. But I was mistaken. that post has been corrected.
You should give GTR2 a whirl then, MT900's all over the place.
I think Race Driver 3 and V8 Supercars 3 are the same game, just a different name for Australia as it included thier premier motorsports event the V8 Supercars, they renamed it to reflect that.
They did. It's called GRID. (sometimes referred to as Pro Race Driver: Grid) And GRID 2 is in the works, as well.
Specs aren't going to tell you how much the engine has been re-tweaked to handle more of the stress for tracking. Regardless, the first 2 things you listed again, show it's built for track driving.Actually if you look at the specs for the LM85 and the stock Laviolette, the LM85 has racing brakes, racing suspension, a spoiler and a paint job. The engine is the same as it is in the stock version, the interior is slightly different, and it's just slightly faster 0-60 because of it's racing brakes and suspension. So, yeah it's like the Superleggera...but, like TopGear mentioned: it's not really worth it.
Anyway, let's hope the last two cars are better.
And Top Gear isn't a serious source of info. What they say, isn't fact.
Ok, lets start with some car prices.

Specs (Here)Except of course they took it in an entirely different direction to the TOCA/V8 Supercar games of old unfortunately. When does this Forza pack get released? I'm really interested to see some screenies, video and the performance specs of the Joss Supercar in Forza, since in real life they've been testing the Joss prototype with more and more power recently. Will they put in an early prototype or the current test vehicle's specs, or maybe even the projected production car's output?
