Mazda Eunos Roadster/MX-5/Miata Super Lap

Was definitely the easiest of the three seasonals posted. I think I got gold on my sec or third lap. Used the Roadster RS (NC) 07 as it was the one I already had and it looked like the one most were using.

Be careful what you wish for my friend. :sly: I seem to be close to my limit in the other TT, so I'm going to get started on this one tonight or tomorrow. Until then, enjoy the spotlight while you can. ;)

Hope to see you here as soon as possible Cargo. What I need is a decent tune to get my best out of this nice little car.

I just started running it a few minutes ago. Down to 1'28.463 with a mostly stock tune. Just experimenting with power add-ons and weight right now trying to figure out which is best.

Sorry to remove you from your throne but hey, you know.

No worries about that Cargo, it's all good. My own tune is also very basic with stock tranny etc. Deciding on the best power options is pretty important. Be keen to see what you use.

Update.......Just added my best ghost to my race and I see we are neck and neck for most of it, sometimes you in front, sometimes me, it's only the last corner where you pull ahead a tad.
I think I might have had you worried a bit during your early races here.
Anyway, early days, I'm sure you'll improve a lot before it's over.
Of course the pad costs me a second or so, so I'm really still in front ha ha.

Struggling with an NC 07. Need to find another second.

Have tried a couple of the tunes but can't seem to get the ratios right for my gearbox.

Anyone got a good tune at this PP level? The listed tunes are all 450PP.

Sorry, I'm a dumbass. Disregard the tune.

Seeing as how Cargo's and my times are so close here I am posting the tune I am using, for comparison. Some is stock the rest is my best guesstimate.

410 PP 194hp 1,116kg 53/47 distribution, power to weight 5.75.

75 - 88
5.31 - 5.25
3 - 3 ..........stock
3 - 3 "
3 - 3 "

bb 6 - 7

0.0 - 0.0 "
0.00 - 0.20 "

3.571 Not sure where I got these numbers. Think I just adjusted the top speed to 200/k/h.
2.573
1.956
1.551
1.285
1.111
F 4.100

6
20
15

sports computer
racing exhaust

power 100%

bonnet and window reduction
ballast 31 @ 0.......which surprised me as I would have usually had it at 50%.

This has got me 1.29.0 and there is a bit more there yet.

Closing in on Cargo, down to 1:28.662, 2 tenths away. Used Cargo's gears but changed the height in suspension settings and used stock toe and camber.

Edit...Another tenth, 1:28.542.

1:29:xxx the car with both setup have potencial i´ll give another try tomorow. i´m a bit drunk now

Ha ha, it looks weird reading someone mentioning 'my' set-up in the same sentence as Cargo's. That's something you won't see very often, if ever again. Thanks for the indulgence ZeGuedes, regardless of your sobriety.;)

Anyway, for the 'indulgees' out there I advise that I don't use a wing (Cargo does) and to try and lessen the oversteer a bit I raised the rear to 90, front already at lowest @ 75, upped the front springs to 7.00, my brake balance is 6 - 8. Tried some more positive toe at rear but it didn't seem to help so it remains as stock, 0.20.

LSD is now 5 -39- 5. Power change to Stage 1 Engine Tuning and Sports Computer, instead of Racing Exhaust and Sports Computer. Power is now 96.1% (193hp, 1,131kg) with 46kg ballast at 50. Car sounds strange on the track.

Finished last night at 1:28.531.

Got myself an 1:29,336 and position 188 at the moment. This is what I did:

MX-5 1800 RS (NB,J) '04

Suspension:
90 / 100
4,85 / 6,08
4 / 4
3 / 3
7 / 7
0,0 / 0,0
-0,11 / 0,00

Brakes:
7 / 7

Gearbox:
Set speed to minimum and final gear to max.
Now from 1st to 5th all to minimum
6th: 1,201
Final: 3,000

LSD:
6
60
6

Triple clutch thingy
Carbon driveshaft

Power:
95,6%
engine-tuning stage 1
Exhaust: sport

Weight:
Weight reduction stage 3
carbon hood
window weight reduction

no oil change

Hey there Monatsende,
I'm not a great driver but within 7 laps I had bronze, silver then gold! Thanks for putting your tune up. Great tune. Easy drive. You get my vote! Cheers, mink.

Disregard, wrong thread.

Unfortunately my PC has died, at least the router has, so l can't play until the new router arrives which may not be until next week.
So Cargo is off the hook, for this one at least.
Safe driving you guys. Cheers.

Wow, you make it sound like I have a problem beating you. I can usually beat your times in my tuning phase in the first hour of playing.:rolleyes: Like I've told you before, you have never beaten me in a TT when I have put any kind of effort in. Again, you are giving yourself wayyyy too much credit.

Ha ha, just pissing in your pocket Cargo. I know you are faster than me here. Incredibly, my new modem has turned up today at the PO, that's in record time, so I'll be back at it sooner rather than later.

And I had the same trouble as BDogge re the gears.

Yea, I knew what you were up to, just thought I'd piss back in yours. Not sure how I got the gears, I'll have to go back and look. :dunce:

EDIT: I think @nowayback has the right answer as those numbers look familiar.
