How on earth are people getting in the 1:17 range on this? I'm right at 1:20 with a very solid run, and don't see any way possible to pick up 3 secs.

All upgrades, etc. etc.

The reason is probably cause the car is getting absolutely no feedback to the player! It's one of the worst combinations in a game, car feels so dead on thos tires, plus the track is flat as a baby's bottom, it's atrocious. There's no way to 'feel' how you can improve... so don't be too bummed about it, it's not you, it's the arcadines of this car/track/tires combo..

As much as I'd like to say they are probably great drivers, the reality is they probably found some cheat or exploit on the track, just like GT Academy.

The deep forest run? It was an easy win for me.

I can't remember how I set my car up, but I was making all my time in the last few turns, the AI slow down way too much on the very last corner. Braking late was a must!

Setup. Upgrades only do so much. The reason why things like suspension and transmissions are fully customizable is so they can be adapted to different racing situations to maximize the cars potential. Don't just buy the FC suspension and leave it, you've wasted your money. I bet you a decent setup can take off atleast a second right away.

Also, just when you think you are quick and can't get any faster, there's always someone faster than you. Always.

Kind of sad that you think people are cheating if they are faster than you.

Then why don't you try that rather than whining about people being faster than you?

I don't believe I was whining anywhere at all. I simply asked how people are able to run those times.

If you have run a 1:17 in that race and would like to give some pointers, I would appreciate the input. Otherwise, please find another thread to participate in.

I was on a 1:18.1xx and only missing a nice run out of the middle section to get well into the 17s. I've also just tried a standard RX8 03 as well and got the same time. I'm level with the leader until that middle section left right. Not given much time on the tune but there's no cheating from them.

I might go back and try some other cars before the 6th but the newer seasonal events are pretty good.

why don't you download there replays and watch how they do it for yourself......

Yes. Just hop in and enjoy the ride for some runs. Try to find that same flow and correct those minor mistakes in corners, if there is any.

Hello

I was in the world top 10 and in the 1.17's. I didn't cheat, I'm just a good driver with a thorough understanding of car setup. You obviously aren't as good as you think you are yet I was told 5 times every page in my thread about physics flaws regarding understreer that I can't set up a car and I need to learn how to drive by people like you.

I never saw any of those people next to me in the top 10. Sadly, the majority of people here think they're experts. Ruining the site imo.
