"For fans of Gran Turismo® 6, the Mercedes-AMG sound specialists have created a powerful, sonorous exhaust note that authentically celebrates the V8's love of high engine speeds."
Sounds are made by MB, not PD! This might sound great :)

For us wondering about the stats on the AMG Vision GT and how they stack up;

~3,050lbs
~580hp
~590lb-ft

VS. The SLS AMG Black

~3600lbs.
622hp
468lb-ft

Looks promising!

Awesome a DLC

This car is more of a couchbuilt SLS AMG GT than anything. PD is big on the Carrozzeria aspect of car design and this seems in line with that.

Think of it like the 300SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé. Same powerplant, different and more aggressive body style.

I cant wait to see what JC thinks about this on the news..

Right now I can only think of two things coming from Mercedes for "Vision GT":

- Its rumored for a long time that a SLR AMG is in works. I could imagine this car being a some kind of SLR concept car. Its design reminds me of recent concept cars, like the CLA .

- Porsches/Ferraris/McLarens new halo cars come with crazy hybrid tech. Maybe Mercedes wants to show some advanced new e drive concept (or maybe F-Cell? Dont know if they dropped this project) because right now, they are loosing alot of mindshare to BMW (i3) and Audi (R18 e-tron), which are seen as more futuristic/innovative brands currently. Im quite sure the SLR will be a hybrid too or it will look to outdated to the LaFerrari/P1. As far as I know, cars like the SLS/SLR are mainly used for marketing purposes, I can't see MB developing a NA V8/V12 beast in this age. It would sell the same, but media would punish them.

yup... spot on with e-cars. Audi is to partake in the new Formula E, which you can tell of course is electric powered F1's on a GP2 scale.

.........WHO FINDS THAT CAR UGLY?

I've never been a Mercedes' fan anyway.

To a degree i disliked it and then i started looking into the car and going.. " OOHh.. Thats from the SLS, AHHH, thats from the CLA, Woooahhhh... Thats from the 300 sl. Looky here, this came off of the thingy..."

no but really, this is just one car that you know was going to be interesting from the side view when they released Vision GT. I cant wait to see tha audi..

Haha, nope, you are not the only one.

I actually think this would have been a great car if they hadn't exaggerated the features…. But then again, it would've probably missed that 'concept' vibe if they hadn't….

Thank you Merc.:dopey: It's a cute car.:embarrassed: Also very powerful. And also free.:sly: Fine... But I wanna it. I think all Vision GT cars are free. And those are maybe also exclusive to PD (since they are in Vision GT project). 💡

Anyone know if the car is an MR or FR?

Jerome

I think, because of the long bonnet/hood, it's an FR.

And btw, it looks fantastic. A true tribute to the streamliners from the 30's - 40's. Really a piece of art.

Of course, the beauty is on the eyes of the beholder but some of you must understand the appeal of concept cars: they are a visual interpretation of an idea, the exagerated proportions are all part of the show, the super sexy curves and all.

Seriously, i'm loving it. And by what we seen in the Vision GT trailer, the one that we must "fear" it's the Bertone one. The thing looks like a spaceship!

But yea, being a car design nut I will enjoy every single one of them and I'm proud that Gran Turismo gives so much love to car design as a whole. :)

Well.. what will be next the next Vision GT Car? Let's guess.
There's like 18 manufacters to go (with Lexus 19). The remaining manufacters are: Alfa Romeo, Alpine, Aston Martin, Audi, Bertone, BMW, GM Design, Honda, Infiniti, Italdesign, Jordan, Nike, Nissan, Peugeot, SRT, VW and Zagato.

I think the next 1 is either Honda or Peugeot. :mischievous: I think the second, it appears at Christmas or at the start of January along with a DLC pack and a DLC track.
