I was aware of that. Technical details were posted at MGS:TUS and I cannot retrieve them at this time since the website is being updated.
Details revealed MGO Beta native resolution was lower than 720p. I sure hope MGS4 isn't that low.

Yep, 576 it was. Can't remember if that was p or i. I'm expecting the game to be 720p native, though. If not, oh well; the game is still going to be incredible.

Well, I have incredibly strong doubts that the game will be 720p native, but we won't know for sure until it releases.

How? I thought launch day was tommorow
Some places ship out games early because of shipping time. They figure you'll get it on, or close enough, to the launch day.
Most mail order places in the States don't do it, apparently. Best Buy wont, so I have to go and pick mine up, now. Not sure if I'll go at midnight, or the following morning. One thing's for certain, I ain't waiting until Monday for mail delivery. Screw that.

Also, it's already June 12th in Asia, so those retailers can ship their games a day before the US retailers can.

Well I'm working from home every day this week apart from one, you guessed it, I have to go into the office tomorrow. Which means (if the course finishes early) I may get to pick up a copy on the way back from work. If not I will have to wait until Friday.

Exclusive to the console with the smallest install base....
And those buying their consoles for this game can basically get the game bundled in for free, with the DS3.
I mean, I know people that walked into Best Buy to get Halo 3. And while quality-wise I think that the MGS series is bounds better, the comparison in user-base numbers says that MGS4 should be easier to buy.
Now, those MGS4 bundles, on the other hand....

I also suspect the reason for the limited supply of 80GB PS3 over the last few months was because Sony has likely been building up supplies for the release of the 80GB bundle with DS3 & MGS4.

That's the deal with my local GS. No preorder, no midnight purchase. You gotta wait until normal business hours.
Though, you can pre-order it this afternoon, and go get it tonight. $5 dollar deposit is necessary.

Great. Best Buy just canceled a whole bunch of midnight store openings. Better check if your store is affected. Mine was (Rancho Cucamonga).
So, I just tried to switch the store pick-up to the Montclair store, a bit closer to me, and couldn't do so. More than fed up with what I just went through the past hour trying to arrange a pick-up, I canceled my order. Why give my money to incompetent morons who make life more difficult?
