Guess I'll have to turn the TV off for a few weeks so I don't have to keep hearing about this great "loss."

He was just a man and men die every single day, where's their attention?

The scientists and humanitarians don't work for personal fame. Michael Jackson did. The public and thus media covered their respective careers and lives accordingly.

They've got the MJ vision on right now here in SoCal too. Nothing else. Ridiculous. He's dead. He had a heart attack. How's Iran? North Korea?

I find it humorous that people are making such a big deal about the media covering Michael, probably due to their opinions of his trials. And yet, none of you are complaining at all about Farrah's whole life now being replayed by numerous shows.

Either way, some of the comments around the web I have seen have been very disrespectful. Regardless of what he may or may not have did, people should still pay their respects or at least, keep their comments to themselves. These people wouldn't talk like this at his own funeral, so why does hiding behind a computer make it so much better?

Damn, it looks like my grandma is having a party up there and they needed some entertainment. Carradine, McMahon, Fawcett, and Jackson among others...

Anyway, poor MJ. Only 50 years old! He made more good music before he was 35 than most people have made in a lifetime. Truly a remarkable human being for what he was.

Right on.

That poor woman Neda, shot in the chest, bled through every hole on her face died too. No candlelight vigil for her.

Obama must be praying tonight. Thanking God for this media distraction away from his craptastic infomercial last night and the House vote on Cap and Trade tomorrow.

America has a mental problem. :indiff:

Most of us wouldn't go to the pedophile's funeral so the computer will have to suffice.

On a side note CNN just reported Michael's last words...

"Take me to the children's hospital!"

Ah, you're just another one of those folks who bought into the whole child molester thing without reading through all the little contradictions made by the children themselves.

Anyways, what does it take for MTV to play music videos again (and not that 4AM crap)? Michael's death apparently.

To be honest, I think that the majority of the people who are watching or complaing about the news on MJ don't really know Farrah. Since they have little to no knowledge of who Farrah Fawcett is, so they don't really pay attention to it. MJ on the otherhand was a huge hit to many generations of kids. Just look at all those people on TV mourning at the loss of MJ. They all look to me like the age of 30 and under.

Many people at my school don't even know who Farrah Fawcett is. Even I don't know who she is until today.

For the haters out there, the news are just doing what any other business are trying to do: make money. The same reason why you go to work: to make money. The people who who grew up during the age of Farrah Fawcett are too little compared to the people who grew up during the era of MJ. For that reason, the news on Farrah Fawcett was easily pushed off the cliff as the news of MJ attract billions of viewers across the entire world. The news ratings must be off the roof right now.

Anyways, I grew up watching MJ on TV very often afterschool. I had fun trying to dance like him as a kid even though I was a terrible dancer. My parents would also watch his music videos with me because they also love to watch him sing and dance. My parents are going through some tears right now and so am I. I don't care what other people say about him being a child molester, but MJ is a music legend and will be remembered by many who enjoyed watching him succeed. If you still think MJ don't deserve the credit due to some dark times in his life...Do yourself a favor and voice your opinion out on the street. You will see how many people really supported MJ and I hope you get beat up like the dude I saw today when he got in an argument with a bunch of MJ fans.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson. I will always remember you for the rest of my life.

Horrible news. I loved his music when I was a little kid. So it's quite sad to see someone I remember from my childhood die.

First off, you made a great point about Fawcett; I am surprised many don't remember one of America's most well known poster girls.

As for the credit he deserves, the haters aren't any better. The man had donated over $300 million & supported numerous amounts of charities. The man cared very much about all the less fortunate in the world. That's a trait you do not see very often in today's celebrities while they're fighting with each other over stupid stuff.

How one could watch an interview of him on the subject and possibly think otherwise is beyond my imagination. Also, children have contradictions/inconsistencies in their stories. If they didn't that would raise some red flags for me making me think they'd been prepped and fed info by adults/parents.

Regardless, the jury found there wasn't enough evidence to convict him, so what's done is done. Even if you have some hidden proof that shows he did exactly what everyone accused him of, why bother bringing it up just because he died?

I don't know how you tick, but when someone dies, my first thoughts aren't to tell everybody about the bad things they did. The man should be remembered for his career & his humanitarian work, but folks like you just don't seem to care.:indiff:

When certain folks die... no, I really don't care. He didn't deserve respect a day ago when he was alive, and just because he's dead now doesn't change that. I'm not going to pretend like the guy's some sort of hero because he sold a bunch of records. The guy was a freak. Plain and simple. It's been proven time and time again that having money can get you out of pretty much any situation - his cases are no different.

Well, I'm actually shocked that he's dead. I didn't think he would make the o2 concerts even though I bought tickets hoping. No matter what else has happened in his life you have to respect him as an entertainer.

Anyway, I have two tickets for the o2 in February 2010 going very cheap..................

TB
That's certainly one way to get out of going to the O².

I'm ashamed to say I laughed at the above post.

You weren't the only one Alex. That was cold but classy, I couldn't help cracking up over it. 👍

But I've been listening to some of his old classics from the early 80's to early 90's era....from Billie Jean, to In The Closet, to Dirty Diana. He was truly a groundbreaker in the industry and will be forever missed, no matter how controversial he was off the stage.

RIP MJ.

A few coworkers of mine were talking about this. I didn't want to believe it until I saw proof. Though we will always remember the music that he made but we will remember more the jokes alot of people did about him.

RIP MJ... I still remember the good old days... 6 years old.. not a worry in the world, moonwalking through my parents living room to Billie Jean and Thriller... :) Ah, those were the days 👍

This was the first thing I saw when I turned the TV on this morning. Ironically I have been listening to a lot of his music over the past week.:( He will be missed.
