I was wondering about that myself when I got a notification someone quoted such an old post.Would it be terrible if we made the thread about Schuey again?

This thread's been generally active over the time since it happened, I think? He's only had one skiing accident and one recovery period so we probably only need this thread.
I believe hsv010 wanted this thread to stay on topic, not open a new thread about Mr. Schumacher. I am inclined to agree. Certain threads do have a tendency to derail from time to time.
Well it obviously is a bad situation, but these comas are different for everybody, it can take months to begin recognizing the environment his docs said after the drugs are lifted, so I wouldn't stay up waiting to see if he recovers or not over the next few days.I really don't want to be the pessimist surrounding his condition, but I now don't hold out much hope for him. Miracles can happen with the brain, but the way things currently look, I don't really see a light at the end of the tunnel just yet.
I've always had my hopes up for him. I just think now it's a bit too much of a long shot for anything great to come from this. It's sad, and it's the last thing we want to happen, but we need to be realistic.I want to keep my hopes up for him. The article doesn't specify who these "sources" are, and I really hope they're just saying that to help the Schumacher family prepare for the worst.

I know how it feels, Same thing happened to me after the loss of Paul Walker. That's not something I'd like to read 20 minutes after waking up.
Injured Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher has been showing "small, encouraging signs" in his fight for recovery, his family says.
"We are and remain confident that Michael will pull through and will wake up," the relatives said in a statement.
'Hard fight'
On Wednesday, Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, released a statement on behalf of his family because of "an increasing interest in [his] condition in light of the start of the Formula 1 season".
I'd say we need to prepare ourselves for the worst:

I can't wait for the day the Daily Mail goes bankrupt. They're truly disgusting wasters of trees.
