it has been announced. we will now be able to change settings in lobbies like we could in gt sport. thats an improvement
A welcome addition for sure. Curious to know if any additional options have been afforded...ei: reversed grid/set by host? And is there any replay timing shown? Results screen? Won't be able to have a look until after work.
Also, Watkins Glen has been added to the season schedule:
Next race at
Trial Mountain
Watkins Glen Int'l
Daytona Road Course
And then to Europe.

Too be honest as long as lobbies are not atleast minimum of what we had in sport hard to get excited with updates for cars,
But I’ll forgive them for two weeks lol, Watkins Glen a definite addition.

yeah but anyways its not like if they work on new cars and tracks they cannot work on fixing stuff.
im sure they are trying to fix those things aswell

Did some laps at Watkins Glen. Definitely feel like they made a physics change with the new update, car feels like it has tons of grip. Might back off on the downforce a little. Either way, I'm in the 1:51's at the moment. Just checked the current lap times for real GT4 cars running the track this week and after Practice 1 the top time is a 1:54.9xx.

Other Improvements and Adjustments

1. Multiplayer
 - Event Settings can now be changed after a room has been created in Lobby.
 - The Variable Time Speed Rate in Time/Water Settings can now be changed from 10x to 30x.

I might have to time trial my '92 spec NSX as a "late" example of the generation. But first, livery update!

Anything notable missing?
No sir, looks good. And, I will accept that request to enter the NSX if you decide to sign up. See the bottom of the 1st post in the link from my signature below. Select "Final Time Trial Instructions " and follow as noted. Be sure to spec your car and run the time trial as instructed in an online lobby room, and submit your results. From there I will evaluate and compare your times to the field and make any adjustments necessary to get you close to the avg pace of field. Glad to have your interest.👍

Sweet, hopefully I can get that done this weekend. I may not make the cut for any events, but a weekend chasing times is better than a weekend as a spectator

A time trial has been submitted, all the time i could wring out of the car in its current tune before the texas heat got to me. I feel like there are a couple more quantum shifts to be had, but i just don't "see" them yet.

Event #2 Post Race Report
from BMB Infield A

Keeping this one short, as it's an event I'm happy to forget. GT7 lag and teleporting was bad to the point that in some cases I couldn't distinguish what was infractions or just lobby issues. Anyway, it's in the books. Nice work to Xrad on a strong event in taking 1st place overall for this one. Feel free to share any battles you may have had.

Here are your provisional podium finishers:
@Xradkins
@IforceV8
@Phlano099

Congratulations to our overall Winner:

Confirmation Reminder Post
Event #3

at Trial Mountain
on Friday, July 22nd, 2021
Conditions:
Preset, SO2, Afternoon

To all Drivers tagged in this post, please confirm your status by posting here in the thread or via PSN message that you "will" or "will not" be racing by 5pm Thursday (day before race night) to secure your grid spot and/or to adhere to the absentee policy.
The final Driver BOP regulations have been updated and shown in the 2nd post of the thread. Please verify and apply these latest numbers to your car before entering the race room. Check and double check your BoP number prior to each race. Race Director will not be verifying before the race other than to take a screen shot of the driver specs screen to review post race. Any drivers with incorrect BoP values will be issued a 10 point penalty against their score for the event raced. Please verify your BoP.

Also, I would ask that all drivers re-review section 4 of the first post, (Caution process) for the series. Any questions at all, please reach out and clarify before race night.

The race Event schedule is shown below:
9pm est- Room Open for qualifying
9:30pm est - ?? laps to = 40 minute Race 1
10:20pm est- ?? laps to = 40 minute Race 2, (Reverse grid) (Includes Formation lap)
Race will be using all updated series rules and format. (Caution rules will be used if needed)

Race Event Details
-?? laps for each race (Includes Formation Laps)
-Preset, SO2, Afternoon
-1x fuel consumption/1x tire wear.

BoP Chart and Drivers List
All drivers are required to be in the party chat whether they have a mic or not. Caution calling and directives will be issued through the party chat, and for those without a mic, it would come through your monitor/tv audio.

(In the event a Caution is called during the race, I ask everyone to be patient and cooperative.)

Please review tab 4.1 in the first post and clarify or ask any questions before we get to race night.

Rolling Start Reference Point will be Announced in the Pre-Race Briefing Post.

All drivers who make it on the grid, please stay in the race event for the night if at all possible, as we could potentially have had to turn some drivers away, leaving it a wasted opportunity for them to race. In the Event of a solo off track or spin, run to gather up as many points as possible (and there is always the possibility of a Caution to get you back up to field). Also, ballast adjustments will only be made if the event is completed. Stay with it and you could earn some help for the next event.

Primary Drivers will be given priority for
each class, then go to the Reserves for each class as needed. Reserve Driver priority will be based on event participation, then based on order of confirming availability. Please reply with your intentions either way.

Anyone with a 👍 has already confirmed and are noted to be present for Friday, July 22nd. Everyone else, please confirm, here in the thread or via PSN message, that you "will" or "will not" make it no later than 5pm est Thursday (Day before Race Night). Please reply either way

👍= will be present
(X)= notified of absence
(?)= Questionable

Track boundary question. I have a memory, perhaps flawed, of Sunday Snail racing on this track years ago and being surprised when several well known D1 drivers were putting their wheels as shown below (even in the dirt on the first one). I recall this as considered in bounds. The OLR does not include this track in the boundary section at the moment.

For Fridays race are there track limits at these two corners in the back straight?

It’s not indicated as solid white line. I believe as in Europe it is supposed to indicate that the verge is soft Rob, and is within track limits. Yellow was always supposed to be signaling a warning or cautionary.
