You're probably right kk20, I'm doing 1.08.3 without being perfect through the lap.

This track is a bit of a challenge for overtaking due to the track being single filed for most of it...

I stand corrected, looks like it'll be 1:07's or lower come race day then, I better get on the PS3 tonight and see where I'm at this week!!

Be good to know what the other NSX's are getting, Trebor...!?

This was the track I was most unsure of including in the calendar, I mostly like the real tracks but PD has made some good ones over the years and I wanted at least a couple of them, when we tried this track pre-season it worked ok. As you say though overtaking opportunities are limited and the position of the finish line at the end of the straight leaves a last minute draft for the win possible!

When I tested a couple weeks ago I found the NSX faster in the first sector, The lexus is faster in the middle sector and the GTR in the last sector...:dunce:

If you guys are on 1:07 .... I have to do something :scared:

well no-one has posted a 1:07 yet, but if cobrius is 1.08.3 without being perfect, that means he will get a 1:07 soon :)

Really suprised you managed to get the race into a 15min video with all the action soopa, good job!

havn't had any practice time yet, will try a few laps soon

Was no easy task thats for sure, to be honest by the time night fell (as far as I could tell) it was only the 2 of us in a battle until gprili joined us, I had to miss out alot of the overtaking that went on between us but I think we still feature quite heavily!

I really enjoyed the battle with you was great fun, can't help thinking now though if we hadn't been fighting for every corner and just drafted each other we could've stretched out quite a lead, maybe next time ;)

EDIT: Sorry but I had to include your pit entry fail, it was a classic, thought the AI did a good job of saving me ;)

early morning testing, I reached 1:07.6xx a couple of times :)
now... I have to go to work

My best until now is 1'08.7 with 1'09 low as pace, need to improve... :nervous:

I prefer real too, they're easier cause I've raced them so many times in various games, but I wanted to include a couple of originals for variety ;)

Jus bought the car and gave it a spin , im slow 1 09 918 best time so far. gonna be an interesting race.

Managed to get an hours practise in, I did 2 laps in that time where I didn't lose control of the car, best was a 1:11.5xx. Just can't seem to keep the car under control round a lot of the corners, even without the power down it wants to oversteer!!

I jumped into a GT-R just to see if it was any easier and managed a 1:08.7xx with default settings, wish I hadn't done that now!! :ouch:

I forgot about the shortcut possibility on this track, I assume none of you are using it and are staying on the track turn 5...?

so hard not to take that shortcut but i havent , i know thats how you play at least 2 wheels on the road but it didnt help , my car is slow , i thought the cars would be closer since they are the same spec but i guess chassis plays a huge role .

how many pit stops do you expect for the 48 laps ?

My time has been done without cutting. :)

Lexus seems to be slower than GT-R on this track but it's quite easily to keep in control.

I assume you mean the concrete patch before the tunnel turns? I try and stay off of it with at least 2 tires. Funny thing, with penalties on, it still doesn't penalize you on that corner even if you completely leave the tarmac. The only way to get a penalty on that corner is to hit the grass first then travel over the concrete, If you just use the concrete, there are no penalties even though you are way off the track.

My time is clean and I intend to honor the intended layout as best as possible. Another spot people tend to push it is on the last turn. You can run up through the grass and wall ride on the right side of the track on that turn and make some pretty good time even with real grip reduction. I did it a few times practicing on accident and was surprised that I was able to control the car through it without spinning. What made me spin on several occasions is when I was slightly too fast and put 1 rear tire off at the exit. That immediately whipped my car around and sent it sideways into the end of the pit wall.

From my experience with the MRC, all the drivers seem to be honorable and make every effort to drive a clean line. When they don't, it is usually because they made a mistake and it probably ended up costing them time. I saw a few examples at Sarthe but nobody ever gained an advantage so they likely just did it accidentally.

The last corner also sends you into the pits...When you spin the car it goes into the pits and it doesnt let you change tires, it just drives...So get the last corner wrong and you'll get a drive through ;)

How are you keeping it under control, cause my SC430 seems to have alot of Oversteer...Which makes me downshift into 2nd gear and feather through the tight corners, but when I speed out I get the back end fish tailing because I'm in second gear. Thus I have to quickly shift to 3rd on exit just to keep the car in control. These car handling issues are making me lose time obviously.

I know if I take the rear toe on my GT-R more negative, it settles down the oversteer out of the corners. Just a suggestion. always try the opposite as well. You never know what you may find. Front toe can also greatly effect turning and stability. It all works together with spring rate and damper settings. I recommend Praiano's tunes on GTPlanet since I haven't tuned the lexus. Praiano has helped several friends. Everyone's style is different and I run with a wheel. If you use sticks, tunes can be a lot different.

LOL. I have had that happen before....This car just goes sideways and T-bones the end of the pit wall.

On the practice race at Deep Forest for this I was challenging Soopa but then clipped the grass and spun into the pits!!

That strategy didn't pay off on a 5 lap race though.. :(
