Superb highlights as usual Soopa!

I was close to you on that last lap. I bet you were sweating so much you could barely grip your steering wheel! Your tyres wouldn't of stopped me pressing you into a mistake. đź‘Ť

Great highlights Soopa!!:)đź‘Ť

I wasn't sure how much love I would get since I was alone for a good part of the race. I forgot to save the replay so it was good to see how you all battled. There was definitely some heated competition going on. FUN:dopey:

I got to see I had my wipers on for some of the race. I think I turned them on when I went to pass you (Soopa) on corner 1 and darn near went off, I snapped the wheel so hard I hit the wiper button somehow. I didn't know they were on because I use bumper view.

Good job Soopa!

Quick question, when you pit in qualifying you get the change tyres and refuel etc come up, how do you cancel that so you just sit in the pits?

Otherwise I have to exit the track straight to the pits.

Just select whatever's there, then hit start button, you'll get the pause menu and won't leave the pits ;)

Just put in my first hour and have a 1:30.614, I know its not the fastest and no doubt someone will post a 1:29.xxx before long, but I was very happy with it as I don't have much experience on this track. I'm hoping I can improve as I get to know the track a little better, there's a few corners where the best line is not very apparent, most notably the last corner.

My setup seems really stable though and I think I can be consistent with it, not got as far as testing tyre longevity yet, but no doubt I'll be on a 2 stopper as usual :)
Confidence is now high for this week, look out Trebor I'm gunning for your podium spot :D

Is it acceptable to go wide onto the run off area on the last corner Soopa?

I will try and stay on the track at all times but not sure if that section can be used to gain time.

:scared:

I can't go under 1:31 after several hours of practice, I'm in big trouble with setup this time, and last two corners are a nightmare for me.

yesterday after some training with allascato I managed to do 1:30.346 but only once... I think this time the NSXs will burn us all :) (except Garage_father of course...... :D)

Using the run-off areas to gain time is a definite no...The track is plenty wide enough without using them. I'm inexperienced with this track and I'm still managing to stay within the track boundaries, I appreciate misjudging will happen in the heat of battle and I will tolerate use of the run-off area so long as you're showing it's not to gain an advantage, i.e treat it as if it were grass and come off the throttle when you go on there, keep the throttle pinned and you will find yourself getting a penalty ;) I can't monitor qualifying so I trust everyone to keep it honest and I'm sure you all will be.

It's certainly looking hopeful for us NSX-ers, it will still be difficult to beat Garage-father though, I'm hoping a few more hours will give me another half second as I still have some setup tinkering to try...

hey is there still room in this leauge??

I forgot someone had dropped out, so yes there is, car available is #06 ENEOS SC430 '08. You will have a chance to pick a different car next season if you decide stick with us ;)

Let me know if you definitely still want to join with this car.

had a few more hours practise, didn't improve my time earlier on today but I was messing around with the setup alot trying to improve tyre wear, it just made me slower and tyre wear was no better.

I've tweaked the original setup a bit tonight, but really I think its just getting to know the track thats making me faster, I guess its difficult to know whether its the tune or not when you don't know the track that well to start with, happy to say I did a 1:30.278 though and consistently getting below 1:32 most laps now :D

Hoping to get some more practise tomorrow but the wife is already complaining I'm spending too much time racing and making videos etc

At La Sarthe I had most of the practice during the night and sometimes with the rain. That helped me a lot.

Yeah, was tough as that was the first time I was driving at night.Darn headlights too dim.

Just did 8 laps of 1.33's and a 1.32 on FSW.Oh man it's gonna be a long race for me...

The car felt great though,Boshuter's setup has good turn in.Not sure if you guy's have this problem but Im getting turbo lag at around 6k rpm.

Also any advice on gear ratios for these GT500 car's?I seem to be stuck around 2nd and 3rd as well as 3rd and 4th alot...

And how are you guy's doing for tire wear?

1:33.2 on lap 13.

Is that the time you're able to put in after being on track for 13 laps, i.e tyres are worn. Or do you mean thats your best hot lap after 13 laps practise?

You could try a different turbo, or just try changing gear early to keep it in its peak range, if 6k is low in the rev range for your car a mid turbo may help as torque will be increased lower down the revs ;)

I have only done sprint tests of 5 laps to test qualifying so far, but my tyres are losing about a 3rd in that time, so I'm expecting to make 2 stops as usual

Oh yeah now that you mention it I remember the turbo upgrades...At 6k it suddenly spikes so perhaps a turbo upgrade then a limiter would help the torque curve. Thanks!

Time with 13 laps on tyres. This is the one third mark and will likely be most peoples pit window.:dopey:

I feel that your worst lap says more about how your race will go and is more relevant than a person's fast time in practice.

And yes, I an planning a 2 stopper. I could run a 1 but the last 5 laps of a stint are a pain. I didn't feel there was enough time reward to make it worth running on beat tyres for ten laps in the race.

I could change my mind during the race depending on certain factors but it isn't likely.

Damn, I thought someone else was in with a chance of winning for a second ;)

I put in some more practise last night, disappointed to say I was almost a second slower than my previous practise session, am getting more consistent though. I'm sure I'll be back on form tonight

Might do a one stop if I don't do stupid things like locking a brake which wears the tires too fast...My wear on all 4 is pretty even with the fronts a tad more.
Now gonna to watch some V8 supercars, make a banana smoothie and grab some sleep.:)

Gonna get some practice laps in now , I dont expect to be a threat to anyone tonight but hopefully and this is really pushing it I will make podium , lol

Could you guy's wait up,my internet is being really stupid...
Started it at 6.45am over here.It is now more than 20 minutes.:grumpy:
More than 30 minutes now,****ing ********.

Good race guy's,but it seems having a 1 stop strategy kinda burned me...
And sorry to Gprili as I hit em on the 3rd last turn because of lag,I also was unsure of what happened...
Got run off by a red NSX on lap 1 turn 1 not sure who it was.:(
