Garagefather's Recap:
You can tell that the season is winding down. It seems the same cars have been in flux all season as drivers join the league, realize that we are fast, and give up before they even finish a race. Others run a few and bail. I wonder if people think they can grab a car and jump into the room and compete?
I practice at least 2 evenings for race night. I used to practice more but I have memorized the performance of my car which allows me to run less practice laps. I still have to determine my pit strategy and race pace and that takes time. I personally don't understand how someone can come in unprepared and green to the league and expect that they will be running for the podium right away. There are racers who could do this but they are few and far between. Not too many guys are just going to jump in and run for the lead. Then they bail in frustration because they aren't on the leaders bumper?👎

I guess some could be mad about contact but our league is clean for the most part.

👍
You can also tell the season is wearing on guys by Trebors retirement. It is tough to dedicate the time for racing, especially if it doesn't quite fit into your schedule. I am fortunate that the time slot was perfect for me. Trebor will be missed.
I hope season 2 will freshen people's outlook. Changing up cars will definitely shake things up. I think I will take a Lexus and see if I can make it work. That is, unless you guys scoop them up first.
Just let me run the Denso or Bandai, the Enos is ugly IMO.
Now to my race. Soopa decided he was going to steal the pole form me at the last second. I ran a hell of a lap so Soopa's was stellar. Good job Soopa.

👍
Then during the race, I was knocking down some serious laps in the first half of the second stint and ran about 5-6 laps in a row in the 1:26's. I ran a 1:26.5 or so and thought that might clinch fastest lap for the race but nooooooo! Soopa decides to run a 1:25.3! Sick!
If Soopa ends up in a GT-R next season, we might be in trouble......
I only had one major mistake in the race and it was early. My foot slipped off the brake pedal at the end of the straight while I was at full draft speed and I darn near went into the wall at the end of the straight. I had to battle my way back up to the front and that was pretty fun. I felt I did it cleanly.
I am really looking forward to the last 2 races. I enjoy both tracks and have been really excited about Nurb. I'm not too good at night but I will try hard. The track is always fun to run. Monza it a great track too. The Italians ought to be excited having a chance to defend their home turf. I believe I defended Indy well. My guess is that Gprilli and Allascato will be pumped.

👍
See you all next week.
