Soopa, though Im not a fan of the music that video was very nicely done.
Could see I was struggling pulling the car up in some of the clips.
And loved the shots where there were cars 3 wide on the back straight before the hairpin!

First practice session running mid to high 1:27s with decent tires. Fast lap 1:27:119.

Anyone have times in yet?:D:tup:

I'm also in mid to high 1:27s with a fast lap 1:27.419.

I would like to improve but I don't know what to do on setting more than I've done.

I think 1:27's sound like a good time, if the car feels right then I doubt anything in your setup is gonna improve your time more than just getting plenty of practise laps in would ;)

Will be quite familier with SkengD, Trebor, neal and DM potentially racing tomorrow.

I think I will be quite a way off the pace at Indy though (The usual then!)

Soopaman, I know it is late in the season, but the upcoming races are on some of my favorite tracks. Would you mind if I join the series driving the RE Amemiya AsparaDrink RX7 (SUPER GT) '06?

If so, I can race tonight (6:30PM my time) and my PSN is meezer3.
Thanks!

I have a spot you might be able to have driving the #39 DENSO SARD SC430 '08, I'm not sure if he's gonna turn up tonight, if he doesn't show then the car is yours and you can join us.

best time for me is a 1 28 4 so far , struggling with the balance and rear grip.

my foot is a bit too heavy exiting the corners , hopefully my pace can improve

i dont really have much experience tuning race cars , im a bit worried i might be running too much downforce compared to others

if its 39 laps , my guess is a 2 stop strategy with pit stops on lap 13 and 26

That car works for me too. I already own it. Any reason why the Asparadrink is no good for you? Its the premium version and it is GT. Just wondering. Either way, I'll show up with the Denso tonight. If I can participate, great, if not, that's cool too. I'll have to friend you on PSN.

Just that it wasn't in my original line-up of 16, I think its a GT300 car I'm not sure, I've sent you a friend request already the race will be held in my lounge ;)

yes it's a GT300 car

Looked like a great race this week, results are posted, I just managed to beat trebor onto the championship podium (2-1 on pole positions). Hurley is only 9 pts behind us, anything could happen in the next 2 races :nervous:

We had a record turnout this week, but we also had a record number of DNF's :yuck:

Yes,Im like WTF when I see ppl just randomly quitting.Poor sportsmanship.👎
Had fun today though, and when I saw the replay it was interesting to note the different lines and driving styles.

I've got some bad news guys, im going to have to pull out of the championship. its getting too late to race for me now, and i have to be up early the next morning for my driving lesson. I was really tired last night and when i left the track i had it, i needed to go bed before i knock people of the track again. Sorry everyone but i had some great races over the past couple of weeks and hope to race with some of you in the future :) good luck with the rest of the championship!

Looks like time is a major issue in every league , sigh

I had a moment coming off the straight with 2 other cars and spun out , dropped me back to 8th or 9th i think, totally killed my mood and i quitted

Will see you all again next week

Will be a shame to lose you, you've been very quick and good competition for me, just glad I took the lead before you quit ;)

Do you think you'll be joining us for season 2 or are you out for good? I'd be happy to save a place for you if you want it

That's too bad.:ouch: You are a good racer. Hope to see you around.:)

I'm sorry guys I completely forgot the false start check at the beginning of the race... :ouch: sorry that someone hitted me because I was penalized. I hope that in my "home" race Monza not to make this mistake again ;)

Garagefather's Recap:

You can tell that the season is winding down. It seems the same cars have been in flux all season as drivers join the league, realize that we are fast, and give up before they even finish a race. Others run a few and bail. I wonder if people think they can grab a car and jump into the room and compete?

I practice at least 2 evenings for race night. I used to practice more but I have memorized the performance of my car which allows me to run less practice laps. I still have to determine my pit strategy and race pace and that takes time. I personally don't understand how someone can come in unprepared and green to the league and expect that they will be running for the podium right away. There are racers who could do this but they are few and far between. Not too many guys are just going to jump in and run for the lead. Then they bail in frustration because they aren't on the leaders bumper?👎:grumpy: I guess some could be mad about contact but our league is clean for the most part.:)👍

You can also tell the season is wearing on guys by Trebors retirement. It is tough to dedicate the time for racing, especially if it doesn't quite fit into your schedule. I am fortunate that the time slot was perfect for me. Trebor will be missed.:guilty:

I hope season 2 will freshen people's outlook. Changing up cars will definitely shake things up. I think I will take a Lexus and see if I can make it work. That is, unless you guys scoop them up first.

Just let me run the Denso or Bandai, the Enos is ugly IMO.

Now to my race. Soopa decided he was going to steal the pole form me at the last second. I ran a hell of a lap so Soopa's was stellar. Good job Soopa.:)👍

Then during the race, I was knocking down some serious laps in the first half of the second stint and ran about 5-6 laps in a row in the 1:26's. I ran a 1:26.5 or so and thought that might clinch fastest lap for the race but nooooooo! Soopa decides to run a 1:25.3! Sick!

If Soopa ends up in a GT-R next season, we might be in trouble......

I only had one major mistake in the race and it was early. My foot slipped off the brake pedal at the end of the straight while I was at full draft speed and I darn near went into the wall at the end of the straight. I had to battle my way back up to the front and that was pretty fun. I felt I did it cleanly.

I am really looking forward to the last 2 races. I enjoy both tracks and have been really excited about Nurb. I'm not too good at night but I will try hard. The track is always fun to run. Monza it a great track too. The Italians ought to be excited having a chance to defend their home turf. I believe I defended Indy well. My guess is that Gprilli and Allascato will be pumped.:)👍

See you all next week.
