Soopa decided he was going to steal the pole form me at the last second. I ran a hell of a lap so Soopa's was stellar. Good job Soopa.:)👍

If Soopa ends up in a GT-R next season, we might be in trouble......

Thanks Garagefather, the pole position was really close, I think you'd set a 1:26.95x and I got a 1:26.941. Only just snatched it from ya on the night although I had done a 1:26.8xx in practise. I quickly ushered everyone to the pit lane as soon as 15mins were up :sly:

I think the GT-R's and Lexus were the first to be snatched up at the start of this season, it was definitely the NSX that was remaining towards the end, so I expect a similar take-up will occur next time... I'd like to see you tame the NSX and get a championship win with it, I think it could be lethal in the right hands ;) The NSX with no TCS has been a challenging but rewarding drive and I may well opt for another next season given the chance.

I'd be glad to run an NSX. I just thought the Lexus would be a greater challenge and less popular. Maybe not?

I'd rather you took whatever you find most challenging to give us all a chance ;)

That reminds me Allascato should get a special mention for putting the SC430 on the podium for the first time, great driving 👍

Let the league decide. You could put up a vote for the car the champ gets or maybe vote on what all the podium finishers get.

So next season will be gt 500 cars again ?

Whats the real difference between the cars , I expected them to be much closer than they really are , there seems to be up to a 2 - 3 second difference in them or is it just the tuning that you guys are doing ?

Ive driven the lexus and now im driving the nsx , the lexus seemed to be easier to drive but i think it was at least 1 second slower than the nsx that im driving now , the nsx is giving me hell with getting on the throttle fast enough and its killing my lap times .

Hopefully my experience with the remainder of this season will help me out next season , these cars are a whole different class of cars than what im used to driving .

Wonder what car I will get next season

the GT300's are 150-200bhp less...

Looks like time is a major issue in every league , sigh

I had a moment coming off the straight with 2 other cars and spun out , dropped me back to 8th or 9th i think, totally killed my mood and i quitted

Will see you all again next week

Do come again,we had some good battles the last race.I was the guy in the yellow supra blocking your way lol.

Got you on the last lap there Whincup! ;)

I knew your tyres would be shot to pieces so was confident I could get pass you.

I did get lapped by Garage-father and then as his tyres were worse off than mine, I was catching him but I was terrified about wiping him out! He let me past on the penultimate lap and the rest is history.

Got a few bumps along the way but that's racing.

Looking forward to Monza although I will admit I very rarely race there without cutting the 2nd chicane. In the past I didn't think I was doing anything wrong but will make sure for Friday I have 2 wheels on the track at all times. Except when I miss the braking point and smash into the barriers that is.

Yes it will be interesting driving monza the proper way

Better start practicing from early this week

FYI, I would like you guys to check out my thread in the Steering wheel and sim racing hardware forum labeled "Every Man's racing Rig". You can also check out my pics in my profile. Let me know what you think about my rig design.:)

There shouldn't be much difference between them in performance, they do all seem to have pros and cons to them, I've tried driving them all and had slightly better results with the GT-R, but I really enjoy the challenge the NSX brings and the car is so damn good looking. :D

I think its mainly down to driver skill and tuning, Allascato has proven the SC430 can run with the leaders and has been on the podium as well now, if you get a chance try a few out and you should get a feel for which suits you best. I recommend testing in your lounge with tyre wear on running 5-10 lap stints.

To up the game a little and meet with SuperGT regulations, TCS will be disabled next season, so bear in mind the only traction control will be in your right foot ;)

No TCS

Will have to see how I get on with that as I always have TCS on. Might have to pull out as I don't want to keep slamming into people. Will give it a go though.

Well I don't want anyone to drop out because of it, it's just that its disallowed IRL but I'd left it available for beginner drivers, since we didn't get any of those I thought we could all run without it... 👍

I run mine on 3 because it is allowed. I think I could run w/o it with no problems. A lot of guys say it makes you slower. I haven't noticed.

TCS can help but for the most part I think y'all won't trigger it unless seriously out of shape.
As for me I don't use anything, keep it real yo.:P

In this championship I used it at 2 to drive easy, but in another championship it's not allowed and I could stay on the track.
Usually I leave it disabled, so it should not be a big problem for me.

Going back to the race I'm so happy to got my first podium (maybe deep forest could be my first podium but too many mistakes). This time I could go with one pit strategy, I realized that during the practice before the qualify although I had a lot of practice before and was thinking to have two pit stops.

In the beginning of the race I've got a couple of bumps but that's racing. Then I started to push but I've never reached my limit to avoid mistakes, infact this time I made none. I'm sorry that in the middle of the race I hit Kingy out of track but I waited for him. This allowed gprili to catch me and we had a good battle.

Tyre wear was fantastic and at the end of the two stints could overtake soopa that was having some tyres problem.

My car is quite good, easily to drive but little bit hard to find a good setup. After these races it seems to me it lacks a little bit of power. On Indy straight, after the last turn, I was always losing 5 tens.

If I can, the next season I'll go for a GT-R because it seems to be in the middle between the power of the NSX and the driveability of the Lexus.

Bye.

The race felt really good. Although I did come in dead last (way too nuch mistakes), it was sti a fun race. Should've practiced on Indy before Saturday. The practice/quali was the first time I ran the Z and Indy. Hopefully Monza will turn out better.
I did catch on until lap 2 where I spun. However, entering turn 1 lap 2 was amazing! I caught draft of phil and took him, then got side by side with the 2 lexus which were already battling. The entry into T1 was a crazy braking contest. That was really fun though. :D

It seems the same cars have been in flux all season as drivers join the league, realize that we are fast, and give up before they even finish a race. Others run a few and bail. I wonder if people think they can grab a car and jump into the room and compete?

I practice at least 2 evenings for race night... I used to practice more but I have memorized the performance of my car which allows me to run less practice laps. I still have to determine my pit strategy and race pace and that takes time. I personally don't understand how someone can come in unprepared and green to the league and expect that they will be running for the podium right away. There are racers who could do this but they are few and far between. Not too many guys are just going to jump in and run for the lead. Then they bail in frustration because they aren't on the leaders bumper?👎:grumpy:

I completely agree with you, I always have three hours of practice at least for every race to find a setup and to get used to the track.

Dude want to practice for Monza?I lack experience at that track.

hey mate i take it, its going well, just wondering when is next season starting or is it too early to say?

Yeah we've had some good races, next season will be starting straight after this one, we'll be having car selection for the bottom 8 drivers on 8th & 9th October (first come first served) I'm sure there will probably be a spot available for you to rejoin us by then... First race of season 2 will be 14th October

I would be one of those who find it slower having TCS on, although it does make mistakes less likely and easier to handle when they happen, so maybe without all the mistakes I make every race I would be quicker overall with TCS...!?

TCS can help but for the most part I think y'all won't trigger it unless seriously out of shape.

I don't think these cars are too much to handle at 500BHP either, even using a DS3 the cars are more than driveable without TCS, I hope most will give it a try as I said I don't wanna lose any drivers over it we have a good crowd here ;)

ok thanks will try & sign up, not to sure wot car but mite be 1 of the SC430 again, i'm currently in GT500 league using untuned ( no engine or turbo's ) Eneos SC430, didn't do to well but season has only just started & i didn't do any testing for that track:dunce:

What kind of suspension and lsd tuning do you guys recommend for these cars ?

To a certain extent its personal preference really, I'm clueless when it comes to tuning, try searching gtplanet for tunes and give a few a try.

I have no clue what boshuters setup is or means ?

I guess I will have to play with the car and figure out some things by trial and error
