Midnight Racing Club - GT500 Season 2: Rd.10 Nürburgring 24H 23rd Dec

@Garagefather:

I think you're doing really well in what is probably the worst car available, it was really great to see you get on the podium last week, I'm sure it won't be a one off. The purpose of the reverse car selection was to try and even the playing field a little and at least give the bottom finishers from last season a chance to have a car they're comfortable with. They then might get to fight it out at the top and I think we've acheived that. Just take SkengD as a perfect example, he was in a very difficult car last season and didn't even manage to get through to the end of a race, now he is in what is probably the best car available he has done much better and getting the opportunity to drive amongst some really skilled drivers such as yourself.

I'm going to run a special one night event before the start of season 3, it will be an opportunity for everyone to prove their worth as a driver, we will eliminate car choice/tuning etc and the winner will be the best driver, I expect to see you at least finish on the podium and I hope to be not far behind you ;)

This immortalpilot is superfast 1 33 253 by him

Thats the kind of lap times I would expect on spec 2.0 considering last seasons times

after my first session my best is 1.34.4xx, but now with IMMORTALPILOT we have someone that can beat Montalvo... so I think I will have to kiss my second place goodbye from now on

:ouch:

Can't believe he ran a low 1 33

I'm hoping he is just on this track or that this track is just suited for the nsx , my best is a 1 34 0 and I'm just changing setups trying to find it , its becoming pointless . I think I will just try to find a setup now and start practicing long runs in preparation for the race. Hopefully I can compete for the podium.

Agreed. we'll see where we are at but I beat my last season times by a lot the last 2 weeks with a lesser car. Spec 2 made a difference in lap times.

I was hoping there would be some formal car selection process next season in which returning members to the league would choose the car from the available remaining cars in reverse order from the championship standings and then allow newcomers to choose from the remainder. Those who choose the same car will be team mates. The cars available will have to be limited as well to ensure we have 2 drivers per car available.

We could have 2 different GTRs, NSXs, SC430s, and the 2 Supras for 8 teams possible. I am thinking the Yellow Hat and Calsonic GTR, the Takata and Raybrig NSX, The Petronas and Denso SC430, and then the Supras. Or, we could drop Toyota and add the Xanavi GTR and Arta NSX. That may be something we base off of interest by drivers in particular cars or makes.

Any way we do it, I would like to see an orderly and defined process for picking. It should also be considered what to do if a team mate drops out of the championship and the other is left alone by no fault of their own.

There is plenty of time to sort it all out, whatever we end up doing.

My best is 1:35:020
I can't imagine doing a 1:32, my lap seems like I'm right on the edge the entire time, I can't push any more, I don't know where I can find an extra few tenths, let alone two seconds, so huge respect for those on 33's and 34's.

I haven't been on GT Since last Friday. I'm having some personal issues to deal with and I'm not sure if I'll be performing my fullest at all which is why I'm considering dropping out. I'm not 100% so if I am able Friday to race its because by some miracle of god I'm able to race. Sorry guys if this disappoints you just giving you all a heads up.

Just take your time Montal , we wish you all the best , we miss your talent.

My best yesterday was a 34 1 , having difficulty finding the setup here , I will definetely have to find it today running out of time before friday. Having run a 34 0 before , I know I can run a 33 but it will be a high one like a 33 8 or 9

The NSX shines here , its a high speed track so I tried reducing some downforce on my car but it didn't help me that much , ill just have to hope that I have some luck in the race and no mistakes to get a good result.

Finally got a chance to see the real replay from Grand Valley , Allascato had a real tough race that spin out he had really hurt his podium chances but I guess that's just racing . Looked like a fun race for those in 3rd - 6th , lots of close racing

2 parts of Tokyo I will warn you guys to be careful when drafting close to someone in the race : the high speed S in sector 2 and that narrow left hander in sector 3 , very hard to follow a next car thru these sections so be cautious and wise in the race

I did race with IMMORTALPILOT some weeks ago so when I saw that he joined this league I thought that was the end for us MORTAL PILOTS. :nervous:

He is a monster and he was driving with other monsters. They are 1.5/2 seconds faster that anyone else in this league.

He will do a series of solitary victories and will also get bored to race with us. :)

How are you so fast immortal pilot , please tell us the secret

I'm hoping that its just me being weak at this track but so far you are about .800 of a second faster than me

I was planning to have all 16 cars available and run a first come first served car selection, since 2 of the same car can be run there will be plenty of opportunity for people to run a GT-R or whatever they want, those that choose the same car will be teammates but if people want to arrange to be teammates with a particular driver they can pre-arrange this or change cars to suit during the selection process. Those that pick a car that no-one else chooses will run as an independant and there will be seperate prizes for winners of the independants, this will also cover those who have a teammate who drops out ;)

We could have an orderly process but I think with the extra cars available everyone will get a chance to drive their preferred car, we can let the car selection run for a week after the pre-season race to give plenty of time for people to change their mind etc, so the first race of the season will be 2 weeks after the pre-season race night giving 1 week car selection and another week for testing before we start.

How does that sound?

I really hope you don't drop out, you will be sorely missed from the championship, totally understand if you have to though and I hope you get through your personal issues

...if people want to arrange to be teammates with a particular driver they can pre-arrange this or change cars to suit during the selection process.

indeed me and allascato next season we want to be in the same team if it's possible :)

I have a teammate I'd like in mind, although after this seasons performance would totally understand if I ended up an independant, I will be taking it seriously next season though so I'm sure I'll do better. ;)
Mostly I want to give a GT-R a go though so will pick the one I want and see if anyone joins me :)

I'm open to join any team , really just to see how the inter team battle is.

And deep down I do want to drive a GTR again next season even though I should give another car a try.

So Soopa if your first choice of teammate declines the offer I'm willing to team up with you.

That italian team will be hard to beat , 2 great drivers .

thanks SkengD, good to know someone is willing to have me, I know we're pretty close as far as skill goes so could be a good pairing ;)

Just did a quick practise, 9 laps with the same setup I had for GVS, my best is low 1:34 with only a couple of mistakes. I suppose with a setup change and transmission adjustments (and without driver error) I can maybe improve to a low 1:33... For now, back to my killing spree on BF3 :D

Soopa you've found some pace there , I think your times confirm that this track does suit the NSX

I should imagine so, fast flowing track and all, monza is another good one for the NSX although I doubt I'll get another win there this time around (had a bit of luck there last season)

I think my car will be much faster now that it is drivable.
And oh no the two italians teaming up,they're going to be formidable for sure!
I would like to team up with Slzk if he's ok with it.

this **** company he dont have send me my wheel.
i must drive with **** controller.
i have make a complaint in amazon i hope that i get it but friday i must drive with the terrible controller
