Faggit! I dc'd. ):
Sorry for the entire first lap, was lagging so bad, I think I lag-hitted Soopa and Gp.

Real sorry to allascato and garage. When I spun out, I did get away in time, so I caused you guys to hit me and lose time. Really sorry for that!

Psn signed me out on lap 20!!!

My car was an absolute joke when the tires were worn,as soon as I turn in it would go into a violent spin.
It was going so well the first part of the race,I even could have had fifth, then the **** happened.
This NSX on this setup can't be one-stopped competitively.I hate this car.

Tough luck on the disconnections guys , so glad that didn't happen to me tonight

Big crash on lap 4 with neal and gprilli , more bad luck for garagefather this race.
What a eventful race , this track I tell you , you either hate it or love it.

That last lap blocking move by ROYALE on Soopa looked like an illegal block to me , has anyone else seen it ?

A 1 stopper could have worked here for me but I made a lot of simple mistakes that cost me time , so I played it safe with the usual 2 stopper.

Congrats to the race winner IMMORTAL and Tyrell on 3rd place , the 1 stop worked nice for you comfortable lead over 4th

Just watched the replay and it seems the ROYALE move was probably one move so fair, I thought he had initially moved to the right, then swerved to the left to block me but the replay shows he was fairly straight off the last turn... I do feel there was serious wall riding going on lap 34/35 turn 4 though which is when he caught me initially, he probably would've caught me anyway since my tyres were toast! 5th is a good finish for me having only done 9 laps practise plus half hour before the race so overall I'm quite pleased

Royale changed his paintjob mid race.

Could be due to wallriding, I saw it once so gonna have to check the replay to see if it was a common thing or not...

Congratulations to IMMORTALPILOT on first race win at his first race with us, that NSX was flying, great to see :)

Great race for me tonight, totally unexpected, in the lounge before I said I was aiming for seventh so it's great to get my first GTP podium.
Only made one mistake the entire race, hitting Garage after he spun out, but apart from that a perfect race, much better than I had anticipated.

The one stop was a complete accident, I only realised that I was only doing one stop after about lap 20 I was too busy concentrating on Soopa and ROYALE. Tyres were almost destroyed and the last lap was spent in mainly 4th gear cruising, I was also very nervous about DC, feel sorry for those who got DC.

Well done to IMMORTALPILOT and Skengd, although I must admit I thought I was in with a shout of getting second after he pitted late on but he was a lot quicker.

it was VERY common with the tire wear and massive understeer

Due to tyre wear and understeer, that is certainly an interesting claim!!

Let me point out what I saw so that everyone can review the replay and give their opinion..

lap 14 turn 9 - clearly you catch the 2 racers ahead of you as a result despite the damage you sustained
lap 21 turn 9
lap 22 turn 9
lap 23 turn 4
lap 23 turn 9
lap 24 turn 4
lap 24 turn 9
lap 25 turn 4
lap 25 turn 9
lap 26 turn 4
lap 26 turn 9
... gave up watching and skipped ahead to where you are with another racer
lap 31 turn 4
lap 31 turn 9
lap 32 catches PepsiMaxCrew and stops doing it
lap 33 turn 4
lap 33 turn 9
lap 34 turn 4
lap 34 turn 9
lap 35 turn 4
lap 35 turn 9 catches Soopa and stops doing it
lap 36 with Soopa and still doesn't do it

There may be more I missed but I think there is sufficient evidence to make a decision on disqualification there. At no point do I notice your tyre wear much below 50%, meanwhile I'm managing to stay off the walls despite being down to about 10%

I think you know exactly what you were doing and I have to say I am disgusted, I've never seen such blatent cheating in any race, since I play by the rules you will get another chance to race with us under close scrutiny, as it is stated in the rules of the league.

:grumpy:

here's the finish from multiple angles, i changed directions one time to block you, it was then up to you to pass while i held my line

Already said that after reviewing the replay it was a fair move.

Care to share video of you taking corners 4 & 9 for the laps I quoted above...?

that would take entirely too long. i'm not sure if you've ever had the displeasure of driving the Lexus, or know what it's like to be at a disadvantage before the race even begins, but when you push it enough to stay competitive with the GT-Rs and NSXs the tires wear FAST, it was simply a strategy to save on wear and stay competitive, have you heard of the 'success ballast' system in Super GT? it's very useful and there for a reason.

Didn't think you would :sly:

MontalvoMC didn't need to resort to cheating in order to stay competitive in the Lexus so that is far from an excuse for what you did

Care to try the NSX's tire wear? There are better cars like those that can sit flat in 6th through the high speed left as well as throttle earlier and keep tires better. But I still kept my car clean.
And Soopa how did you get so much rear damage?I saw it at one stage when you re-passed me.

Last night was frustrating to say the least.

Had a good start and ended up a few places up, maybe 7th or so after turn 1. Then I think I got in the middle of Soopa and Pepsi and ended up going to the back.

Overall I drove well and the extra 20 odd bhp certainly helped me more compared to last week.

Looking at the results it's even more disappointing to get D/C because I was right behind garage-father at the time. Was behind him for a few laps which surprised me that I managed to keep up with him. I doubt very much I could have past him in the last few laps though as he is much better on worn tyres than me but would have liked the chance. Incidently, when infront of garage-father I got caught by IMMORTAL at an awkward place on the track and I basically had to slow right down. I was half expecting SkengD to be right behind him for some reason and when I saw garage-father chasing down on me I realised I'd better get a move on..

I had a terrible 3 or 4 laps at the end of my 2nd spell which cost me 8 or 9 seconds easy. That allowed garage-father to reel me in which led to some close racing in the last part of the race..

Im not sure what happened but I think you were right behind me after turn one when I went inside of somebody.
If anyone could upload the first part of the replay that'd be cool to see.
Oh and mid race I rear ended Tyrell.Sorry about that,I got a little assistance from behind with that I think.
And do you guys use normal out of car view starting the race?I use that for the start then switch to cockpit.

I always use the inside view (not the cockpit one)

I have to say ROYALE your tire wear was higher than everyone elses but this is due to how you either drove or setup the car , GarageFather didn't have the type of wear you had . Soopa has been the driver with the worst tire wear in previous races and he never rubs the walls . I understand your trying to be competitive but all you had to do was make an extra pit stop , it might cost you a place or 2 but with your pace you would finish midfield.

Kingy funny you say you expected me to be behind IMMORTAL , yeh right he beat me by 40 seconds , lol.

I lost my chance to beat him when GarageFather and ROYALE got past me on lap 2 and I made two more mistakes during my first stint which cost me about 8 seconds combined I would say. The 1 stop strategy if I could have executed it right would have beat him , that's why I feel Montal could have won this race but it would have been tough and close.

I planned on doing the 1 stop but perhaps my first stint should have been longer , I pitted lap 15-16 and then took care of my tires quite well , I could match times with IMMORTAL and I maintained the gap he had on me I think it was like 17 seconds at that time , when IMMORTAL made his 2nd stop I passed him on his pit release but he got me on fresher tires , if I had those extra 8 seconds I lost from mistakes I believe I could of made the 1 stop work and possibly battle for the win.

Well after he passed me I realized that 2nd was the best I was gonna finish and I saw Tyrell was trying a 1 stop so I pitted lap 28 for new tires giving me 8 laps to push like hell and catch Tyrell , his tires were gone so it was easy to catch him and pass him .

Great race strategy Tyrell , congrats again on your first podium.

Look forward to racing on Sarthe , its not a track I know very well so I expect my times to be off by a few seconds. I will get the hang of it by raceday tho :)

Skeng have you seen the replay?Tell me honestly how I went,I really need to improve.
And for some reason my screen showed the rear of Soopas car really crumpled when it isn't.

Haven't done a full analysis yet , just glanced the replay before I went to bed .

Soopas car was damaged in my replay as well , cosmetic damage to the rear of his car.

Lots of crashes this race , couple drivers will have to do chassis and engine refreshes.

Looks like you did well tho Pepsi , managed your tires quite well from what I glanced .

I will look on the replay today and then tell you more.

And Soopa how did you get so much rear damage?I saw it at one stage when you re-passed me.

I got my usual flying start and passed ROYALE before we got to turn 1, as I'm exiting turn 1 ROYALE has gone around the outside and we have side by side contact and on my cold tyres its enough for me to get out of shape, I manage to save it but I lose a lot of speed and am rear ended hard (not their fault). I reckon thats what crumpled my rear end, but that was all racing and I don't blame ROYALE for that!! I got rear ended by ROYALE on the last lap turn 4 and again turn 5, which probably re-shaped my car somewhat, those were his fault!!

Anyone else care to give their opinion on ROYALE's DQ...

Due to tyre wear and understeer, that is certainly an interesting claim!!

As you all know I hate giving out penalties and am really dissappointed to have had to issue the first ever MRC DQ :indiff:

It is of my belief that if you make a definite gain in speed or position from something unfair (wall grinding, bumping, etc) then yeah something has to be done about it.
Overall how much time do you reckon was gained relative to not riding the wall?
And yeah once you get caught out mid pack it's pretty hard for the guys behind to avoid.

I'm not sure but the first time I see him do it he is behind 2 other drivers far enough to be out of their slipstream, I think it was Kingy and Tyrell, after he wall rides turn 9 on lap 14 he is in their slipstream exiting turn 10 and passes them down the straight.

The main point here is he knows what he is doing is wrong, because he only does it when no-one on the track can see him, as soon as he is racing close to someone else he doesn't do it!!

I conceded that his blocking move on me on the final lap was fair, but in reality he never should've been there to do so, he probably wouldn't have been past PepsiMaxCrew either without the gains he was making on those corners...

I don't think I was near Tyrell all race so I think it must have been nealcropper..

I can't give a view on it as it wouldn't let me save the replay when I re-entered the room. But, a DQ sounds fair if it is being deliberately done to gain an advantage.

I hit a few walls myself which banged my car up a bit but that was just down to misjugement.

One other thing I'd like to bring to peoples attention is the blue flag. Unfortunately there is nothing in the game to indicate this but it will usually be fairly clear to the backmarkers when they are being lapped. Now I know most of you adhere and yield to lapping traffic but nearly every race I see at least one person at the back fighting for position under a blue flag situation.

Most of the time you should simply yield off the racing line when you can and allow the lead traffic to pass without hindering any battle that may be going on. Once they are passed by all means use their slipstream to your advantage, but do not use their slipstream to overtake them forcing them to have to get passed all over again, if you follow them ensure you allow plenty of room when braking in their slipstream so as not to rear end them.

Exceptions to this is when you are in a battle yourself, I don't expect backmarkers to give up a battle they're in to let lapping traffic get through with ease. To lead lap traffic, if you come up to backmarkers who are engaged with each other do not expect them to stop what they are doing to let you through, you should be fast enough to get by them in any case so you will have to use your skill to get by, if they slow you up and someone behind you catches as a result, well thats just racing I'm afraid...

Soopa, we had three disconnections yesterday. I know the guys usually clean their cache but this not always helps or is enough.

I poste a guide to open ports on the router some days ago that I'm quite sure could avoid future disconnections or avoid people that don't see each other.

Do you think is the case to put a link that explains how do it on the first post and encourage people to do it?

Being disconnected is always frustrating, especially when happen at 3 laps to the end like yesterday.

Bye.

Soopas connection is one of the best I play with so I don't think its a problem with hosting .

Well I tried out some other gt500 cars today for another league and I must say the castrol toms supra is nice , I might use this one next year .

Drove the petronas lexus and ran a 43 7 on grand valley .
