Midnight Racing Club - GT500 Season 2: Rd.10 Nürburgring 24H 23rd Dec

us? no offense but i HIGHLY doubt this. he would destroy you for sure, i lapped you the past two races....and wallriding in a long race in which tire wear is a factor is definitely a strategy, whether it's legal to do so is a different story.

Come on , I have to step in here .

ROYALE you are a talented driver and its obvious your frustrated with the car BUT in a professional league such as this YOU should know wallriding is frowned upon and most of all ILLEGAL . There have been others in the league that have had disaster races , crashes on early laps , spin outs , etc . And they don't resort to cheating , I can send you the replay for Suzuka Rd. 1 and you will see Soopas tires down to nothing and he just struggled his way to the finish . Look at Gprilli , he has been 2nd place every race except Tokyo , he struggled but drove it home with pride , class and professionalism. I'm sure you would have still finished well if you didn't wall ride . You can't expect to win every race or be on the podium .

And there are ways to improve your tire wear , its not all on the car , some of it is your tuning , you can reduce camber , front break , lsd and driving style can help tire life as well .

Next season you will be able to choose another car and since its a team season , it will be more balanced with the better cars .

The petronas lexus is not the greatest of machines but it surely isn't the worst of the gt500 lot

He knows full well what he did is cheating, otherwise he would have continued to wall ride when racing near others, he simply thought because no-one could see him on the track he could get away with it. There is clearly no point trying to tell him this as he will just claim it as a strategy (just one that he wouldn't employ in front of people!!) and in mine and Phil's case be disrespectful and start attacking our abilities as drivers

Let me just make it clear for next week all four wheels beyond the rumble strips is not allowed, if 2 wheels are still on the rumble strips that is fine, I'm thinking in particular Tertre Rouge is the most likely place someone might consider just blasting through full throttle and going wide on exit to gain advantage onto the straight. Misjudging that corner and going wide is fine if I see you come off the throttle to correct it. So I will be watching that corner and the chicanes, particularly those last ones before the start/finish straight, don't say I didn't warn you (I know most of you don't need to be told). ;)

Just a reminder, but I also hope everyone knows where the pit entry is.It killed me last year looking for it at night.:P

That reminds me don't go flying in there at full throttle either, coming off the track there is the same penalty as anywhere else, someone nearly wiped me out doing that last season!!

i'm not debating whether it was legal or illegal, i knew it was while i was doing it, here's the problem though, i had nowhere near a "disaster race"...never had an accident or anything that would have put me back so far, drove the car as hard and clean as possible for as long as possible and it just wasn't able to keep up, it was at this point where i started riding to compensate. if i had an accident or spin out it's understandable, i had one on grand valley and came back from it because i knew it was my mistake, i'm fine with that...losing time for no real reason when i'm running the same lines as you and the leader, that's a problem.

Wow royal, seems like you pissed em off pal, I always come near last on these long races, that's why I'm practicing like crazy, I love this game but I'm just not that fast I know this, still I would never resort to such underhand tactics. If it was a strategic way of racing then everyone would be at it. But they ain't, does that not tell you anything? Nuff sed I think.

Exactly Neal, same situation here.I just started racing online mid last year and am trying to get experience too.
Anyways don't bother trying guys,I think it's clear enough what this is getting into.Im just going to sleep this one off.

last time i checked not everyone is driving a Lexus either, you think i would have to ride the walls in a GT-R or NSX?! sorry but your point is invalid. either way it's cool that you're gaining experience no matter where you end up in the field, i can respect that, at least you're on a level playing field though, that's all i'm saying.

Then why does montal not have to do it and he drops his power, stop your crying and get on wiv it, my motul weighs 30 kg more than the calsonic and the nsx's are heavier still, see them grinding? At the end of the day what you did was against the rules, end of

the only heavier NSX is the EPSON, the rest are standard 1100kgs...it also makes 710+HP to compensate while the rest are anywhere from 621 (Raybrig) to 640 (ARTA,TAKATA). the MOTUL also makes more power (718) than the other GT-Rs to compensate, but with an equal HP restriction and no ballast system in place they are probably at a disadvantage, regardless the MOTUL is my go-to GT500 car in online rooms and i regularly wipe the field with that added 30kgs in an HP-restricted setting, like i said before i know these cars inside and out. i'm new to this series not Super GT in general.

ps. in unrestricted rooms a 640HP NSX has no problem whatsoever keeping pace with a 700HP GT-R or 690HP Lexus, when they're all restricted to the same HP you can see why problems would arise. unfortunately it's not that black and white in GT5, a 500HP/1100KG restriction simply isn't an end-all for balancing the field, which is why ballast is used in most competitive leagues.

If you are the expert you profess to be the you definitely Don't need to cheat, I know I keep goin on about him but montal is in a Lexus and has never cheated, he sent me his car, with the setup that he was goin to use for the gp d track at the nurburgring, and his hp was 470, so if he is in a inferior car, as you say, and he's running it at al lower hp, how does he manage to get pole and win every every race he enters? The answer is simple his driving is exemplary and the car is awesome. So that puts your argument to shame. You have no excuse for what you did, an you aught to be shamed, that said, can we stop goin on about it? Looking forward to sarthe, practice in a bit, when I've put my little girl to bed.

I'm just about getting used to feeling what all the settings do, I'm a complete noob at setting a car up, I'm trying to get better, and I have seen an improvement in my times, also I have just bought a dfgt so m trying to get used to that too.

I'm way off the pace running 3 52's

Tested for now only in dry situation my pace for now is around 3.47 flat... I have to test a full wet situation...

It will be random weather, starting sunny ;)

Oh and you're wasting your time with Royale, he just doesn't get it, drop the subject and hope he plays by the rules from now on

i get it, it just doesn't seem to bother me as much as it bothers all of you, anyway Sarthe should be interesting, nothing but straights which tend to favor the NSXs acceleration, will be a matter of hanging onto draft to stay competitive :sly:

It's not sly, more a strategy,lol

Sorry to drag this on, but yes it does bother us, some of us spend all week practicing for this one race, and for someone to come along nd cheat l, just pisses us off a bit.

Ill need to practice a lot for this one , I'm way off the pace , just don't know this track that well. Hope I can get into the 3 48's by friday

I think my wear problem won't prevail at Sarthe, since the turns aren't too sharp to lose control out of. Hoping that it would rain at night too. That should spice things up!
