Midnight Racing Club - GT500 Season 2: Rd.10 Nürburgring 24H 23rd Dec

I didn't reload the track but I changed weather settings to clear up the weather and then changed it back.

How do you know what percentage of surface water there is?

And what percentage should you be looking at changing from Inters to Wets?

There's a percentage in the top left of the game screen which shows you the amount of surface water. As far as knowing when inters or wets are required I haven't tested that far yet. I'll probably decide based on how fast I can push the car, when the pace drops enough or I think it'll be a lot worse towards the end of another lap, then I'll pit for a change of tyres

I would expect it to rain at some point with the settings we have, we start off dry with the changeability set to 5.

These are my assumptions based on the practice sessions I've had this week which were limited at change ability set to 5 , I ran a lot more on 10.

It will rain for sure but with luck on our side and my experience with the testing it won't rain very long and the water level won't exceed 40 percent.

@Kingy

I've used racings softs in the rain between 0 - 20 % quite comfy , between 15- 20 % it does get a bit edgy so to play it safe I would say 15 - 45 % the intermediate tire is recommended.

Anything over 50 % full wets should be used.

Once again this is just a calculated guess based on my practice sessions.

Will be an interesting race to say the least just hope I can qualify in the top 6 and try and keep up with the front runners

Don't think we will get 100 % water level since we are starting with 0% , I don't expect it to get to 50% so it should still be manageable driving .

Pit strategy will be very crucial in this race .

Did a bit more weather testing, first time it started raining after 5 mins and then kept raining up to the half hour mark and got about 40% surface, seemed like it was gonna continue raining for some time. So I reset the track as I do before qualifying and put in the same settings again and this time it got to 45 mins and still no sight of rain, did see a few grey clouds for a while but they passed by and it started to get dark.

Lounge is open , tyrellracing is practicing with me

First 5 minutes and rain started .

Is it possible tomorrow Soopa for qualifying to have rain ?

Hey guys no practice for me tonight, goin into the race tmora without hardly any at all. Not good, btw is many laps is it?

Ill be practicing all evening today , trying to get into some kind of form for this race .

Its 16 laps Neal .

What do you guys expect for pit stops ?

My tire wear is high , a 3 stop might be best for me but I would like to do 2 stops

rain will change things about the pitstops I think, without rain I can do a one stopper here

Seems like another practice-less week for me. But after this week, school ends, my band's competition will be over and I will be free. Let's hope the series turns better for me then.

I have no practice at all and might not even show up as Im currently at a friends house.
Have a good one guys.

Same here,I have too much mid corner understeer (like that Holden in my avatar LOL) and it's diabolical on worn tires unlike the other GT500 cars I've tested.I dislike tuning.:(
That said it has improved alot since GVS and it shows that it's going on the right track.

This will be my worst race of the season I predict
I hate this tack as well. It is so long but lacks the technical challenge of NURB Nord. You just go down long straights and brake hard into slow corners. There is no "flow" to this track and that is why I don't like it. It was created in a time that racing was more about top speed in a straight line rather than handling.

I ran several clean laps in the Banzai Bandai and was at least 10 seconds off the fast guys times. The time is mostly lost in the straights so more practice won't really help. I just hope to get a tow in the draft by a NSX. If I end up running alone, it's going to be a long boring race.

Hopefully next season this track will be off the list. I prefer GP courses for Super GT racing. Leave Lemans to the 900 hp endurance junkies. Either way, nobody will ever be happy with all the tracks on any schedule that is set. You just have to live with it.

This track is one that has grown on me over the years, I used to hate it but I quite enjoy it now, however it doesn't mean I'm at all fast here. I think Soopa and gprilli will have good races here.
I'm finding the middle of the track section tricky as it's so easy to brake with a tyre on the grass and get violently spun out, especially at night.

I would like to see Deep Forest or Monaco next season.

Wow Garage ten seconds off, shows how slow the lexus is, didn't think that slow.
