Midnight Racing Club - GT500 Season 2: Rd.10 Nürburgring 24H 23rd Dec

Hopefully next season this track will be off the list. I prefer GP courses for Super GT racing. Leave Lemans to the 900 hp endurance junkies. Either way, nobody will ever be happy with all the tracks on any schedule that is set. You just have to live with it.

I agree that nobody will be happy either way, but I love LaSarthe, I love real life tracks & gp tracks, what I dislike are the non real tracks like Deep Forest, Trial Mountain ecc.

I deeply hope that PD will include in the future Motegi, Valencia and Infineon Raceway

I have to disagree about the PD tracks. I love Trial mountain, Deep Forest, GVS, et al. They are what started it all. I don't think those take anything away from the real life tracks which are nice too.

I would be glad to run Indy road course over Sarthe. A good compromise in my opinion. No weather or time change but I can live with that. Rain blows anyway.

I love infineon .

I can't get online , internet seems to be down , hope its working by race time , what a dilemma

Ok I can calm down , its working , ill have the practice lounge open at 9 pm

Yeh I wish deep forest was there this season , I will be going all out at trial mountain next week.

I miss midfield raceway so bad and apricot hill was a nice track.

I'm waiting for Montalvo to leave my lounge so I can setup the room

I've been telling you to get out for 10 minutes now, I don't know how else to ask you to leave 🤬

Really sorry for my little stress in the lobby, just pissed off, nothin I do makes me faster, you guys are on a different level, I'm gonna still run practice sessions with you guys if that's ok? Just not gonna race with u on a Friday. Thanks guys, wish I could say ive had a lot o fun, but I ain't mostly gettin upset with miself cos I'm just not as fast as u lads!

No problem Neal, I thought you'd been doing ok, so long as I get a battle with someone during a race I don't really mind where I finish.

The first part of the race was terrible,I got a 5s penalty for a so called "false start" which I did not even jump, then I had nowhere to go with cars all side by side. Then when I went to pit I put too much fuel in costing alot of time. But worst of all I kept missing brake markers.

However when I thought about it,I realised the straights were so long that I was actually daydreaming half way down most of them. When I started concentrating the second part of the race was actually pretty good!

Managed really consistent times lap after lap with even wear. And preserved the tires well,Ironically the fuller fuel load actually helped in that respect.

And as a end to that race, had a fantastic battle with ZiKai for the last few laps!:)

Still hate Sarthe at night though, hard to see.

I reckon you just need more practice on the wheel. You just got it right? Trust me, practicing does a lot. So is practicing for the track every week. You'll know where your weak points (braking, cornering, etc.) are and be able to correct them before the race. Don't give up on racing, neal! :)

As for this race, I am deeply sorry to anyone that I bumped, blocked or mess up their line. I was completely lost during the night. I couldn't see the road ahead at all. I went really off course once, at the sharp 90 degree corner after the mulsanne. That's where I lost my 6th place, before losing 5th. D:
It was fun battling with allascato, garage and soopa.
Especially with allascato and garage at lap 3 or so. I really enjoyed it. Too bad I made so much mistakes that landed me in dead last. ):

I expect to be better next week, as school's ended and the band competition being over, giving me time for practice.

I think I should be DQ'd. I went off-track (inside and outside) too many times and accidentally cut corners because of that.

Neal just keep on practicing and you will get there .

First of all I can't believe it didn't even rain.

Congrats to the race winner Immortal and Gprilli , 2 very good drives.

Apologies to Montal who I made contact with while overtaking and I'm pretty sure resulted in an accident , I waited on you but then didn't see you coming then allascato passed me so I carried on with my race.

I had the pace to get 3rd place but too many mistakes cost me 3rd and then 4th place.

I will be back on track in Trial Mountain , hopefully back on the podium

There are many different skill levels here so no sweat, look at Immortal compared to us!!:P

You were actually showing good pace at qualifying. With practice you will see your consistency dramatically improve.

I'd like to join with everyone else in urging you to stick with it, you will learn a lot driving with people faster than yourself and it definitely takes a while to get used to the wheel, but you will certainly get faster using it 👍

You made mistakes which cost you time, I didn't see you gaining advantage anywhere, no problem with that I know you've been battling with the car (as have I!!)

Congratulations to IMMORTAL for an astounding performance, well done also to skengdigi who is still leading the championship, the Lexus is holding on to the manufacturers championship but the Nissan's are closing the gap...

What was your race pace Soopa? Im stuck in the 57-58's...
Oh and guys how long does 1 extra liter of fuel take to go in?

My race pace was about 3:50 and my tyres were good for a change, I will try to get some practise for next week as it will be hard on the NSX, will share my setup if I find something which tames the beast ;)

I have no idea how long it takes to refuel

We NSX drivers got to stick together,I really suck at tuning.:P

I sat there for REALLY long to refuel but with the NSX I want to put as much in as possible as it's got better traction.

Hence Im not sure how much to chuck in.

Oh and I just realised me,Kingy and Zikai are near even in the championship, ought to be interesting.

I noticed this race the rears seem to be affected more , must be the wind resistance as GarageFather said .

Not the best of races for me did manage to set a 3 48 when running with Soopa tho , my qualy time was a 3 49.

Immortal just ran away with it , the nsx is a beast off the line and what usually happens is the race leader pulls away while 2nd - 3rd fight it out . Montal had a mini accident and that's how I caught him , I pulled so close to him from 5th to 6th gear that I had to go for a banzai overtake we made contact I managed to save it but he spun out.

I then got myself back in a good scrap with allascato and soopa but too many mistakes on this track . Its a good track for racing and I think I will enjoy it a bit more next season , as much as I hate the track I respect it a bit more now and still want it to remain on the calendar .

I ran a 1 stop strategy but think I should of pit on lap 7 instead of lap 8 , the tires were too worn and I made a mistake which made allascato pass me with the undercut. I had to take on 16 liters of fuel on my pit stop.

@Pepsi - not sure how long it takes to take on 1 liter but it can't be that long usually the fuel goes on before they finish the tires.

Watching the replay I noticed Soopa and Tyrell had bad starts so congrats to them for having strong finishes

Looking forward to Trial Mountain hope I am as fast there as I think I will be , I haven't even run a practice lap there yet.

I still don't have a teammate for next season by the way.

Sorry we're fully signed up at the moment, I can put you down as a reserve and PM you if any spots open if you like?

Thanks, still not sure what happened, I didn't jump start but the game just froze and then all of a sudden you were all ahead of me and I was starting at the back. Replay shows exactly the same thing almost as if it was a connection issue, definitely cost me a podium finish, by the time I got passed the back markers I had no draft to catch the leaders with :(

I still don't have a teammate for next season by the way.

I'm sure someone will want to join you, however, a teammate is not necessary as those running alone will have separate prizes for winning the independants championship ;)

For those who have pre-arranged a teammate, I will allow one of you to post car choice for both at the same time

I had a terrible first 2-3 laps which was mainly due to lag. Cars around me wern't steady at all and I was worried I would take someone out..

After that I improved as the race went on and towards the end I was putting down some consistent respectable times.

The choice to 2 stop was probably an error but I still ended up with 8th out of the 13 that started which isn't too bad I suppose.

It's just really frustrating every race gettin battered. If I can't keep it together on a track like la sarthe then what chance do I have on one like nurburgring?! I know I need to practice more, tell you what, i'll run trial mountain as it's a track I love, and if I'm still miles off the pace, gonna give in. That ok soopa?

Pretty happy with my performance yesterday, I expected to finish in the midfield. Qualifying was quite disappointing, I knew I was capable of at least 3:50, but ended up putting in a mistake filled 3:52 lap time, nevertheless I still got off to a pretty good start but I was looking behind and outbraked myself on the first chicane on the Mulsanne Straight.

Spent most of the race fighting with Garage, which was fun, there were a few bumps, but the racing was respectful and none were intentional so I've got absolutely no complaints. Last two laps were disastrous, the tyres couldn't be driven competitevley after that and I ended up spinning out far too many times and ended up a good 10 seconds behind Garage. I also thought everyone was doing 2 and 3 stops ....

Neal, this track is way too long to be practiced in a week so we should both do better at Trial Mountain, good luck !

Yes Neal don't give up , use this season as full practice .

Last season I joined midway and quit every single race just because I felt uncompetitive and frustrated , look at this season I've made a full 360 .

Its just practice m8 , these cars are very fast and very good but they require practice to find the right rhythm.

I'm surprised I'm leading the points , wish I got that 3rd place last night it would make my lead a bit bigger.
Me and Gprilli actually are tied on total points .

In Trial Mountain ill be pushing extra hard to make Immortal look mortal :)

Whatever you choose to do is fine with me Neal, just that along with others here I feel you are good enough to be competitive with us, it just requires some practise and for yourself extra time to get used to the wheel. Trust me it took me quite some time, but after a few weeks I was lashing my old lap times with the wheel, it just feels so much more natural and fine adjustments are far easier with it. You will also find car setups have different requirements with the wheel, so the setup you use with the DS3 may not work, search the forums for setups and you'll find most are for wheels, give some a try and find one that works for you.

Are/can we discuss(ing) laptimes of the next race to come?
Just asking so I can see if I'll be competitive.
I know laptimes vary due to the tyrewear but it's just to get an idea.
