Can I play online in Classic?


I can't play online?

Nope. I don't think you can even log in with a non-Premium account and that SP version doesn't support Mulitplayer.

So...I've decided to join my friends' vanilla server instead. Sorry Dunc but my heart is no longer in the GTP server, and I'm enjoying this one a lot more. No children bickering, no limits on building, just good old fashioned fun with my friends from uni. It's amazing what they've been building before I joined, one of the towns is built around the landscape and knowing that it's all been done without spawning just makes it even more incredible to look at!

Yes, but we've established Classic is free by now. So that's not something worth putting in.

I'm still sitting here, biding my time until you guys decide to convert the server to Vanilla and start a new world.

But in the meantime, anyone know of a nice, trustworthy survival server I could take a peek at? Preferably vanilla with few plugins.

Everything. Relative simplicity. You don't have to learn a new game to keep playing. Not to mention balance issues.

That said, I was against it the whole time, didn't say anything because I couldn't play.

After experiencing and learning about Tekkit, Vanilla just bores me to sleep. Plus the new updates ruin any chance of "simplicity." They're useless, Jeb's turning Minecraft into an RPG. Tekkit actually inspires me to build, and I don't care if it's machinery. At least I'm not looking for "Ender chests" and those new structures that are as useless as the new mob trading system.

I'm spending all of my Minecraft time working on all of these things. Expanding villages, trading supplies, what have you. I am going to be adding one mod once it updates, but that's it.

Unfortunately not. I looked in to this a lot before I switched to tekkit and as far as I can see, it's not possible.
