Just found a temple in the desert, thankfully I avoided the trap and took all the fancy items that lie within and the orange wool on the outside.

If you get the new launcher you can revert back to 1.5.1 and still play 1.5.2

I like the new one since I can play with mods that are up to date on a version and play the new release without it affecting my modded one.
 
Not too fond of the land claiming idea. It makes mining difficult as you keep bumping into claims which stretch down to bedrock. The classic sign system with the doors and chests is better 👍

Claim, dig, get whatever, remove land under, but still protect your area (give or take).

Bloody hell it got griefed again! Just because I can't protect enough land.

There are two people currently trashing the server as I speak. If anyone wishes to help bring them down and strip them of their griefing tools, be my guest.
 
Server is offline. Just shutting down my VM's and rebooting the host.

Griefers have been banned and rolled back.
 
I've been having problems with a Hamachi lan game in Tekkit, whenever my friend tries to join, the game seems to experience a massive memory leak. I can still move around the world, but no new chunks load, animals freeze, and java crashes when I try to log out. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

LAN game? You must be using tekkit light, correct?
 
Nope, Tekkit 1.5.1. Turns out, if you've set up a Hamachi connection, it counts as a lan game, and you can open it up to anyone in your Hamachi group.

There's a new tekkit? Completely missed that one.

That's strange, because normally memory leaks are caused by additional plugins. Although it's possible that the client tekkit version doesn't really support the built-in LAN funciton of vanilla minecraft (because it has tons of mods). You better try it with a real tekkit server as I always did (run it from your computer). It's not difficult to set up if you only play with friends.
Additionally, if you run a private server you don't need hamachi, just saying.

EDIT: Uhh what? No industrialcraft anymore? No redpower?

EDIT2: Looking at mod list... I heard ChickenChunks can cause some problems such as chunk fails and memory leaks. No idea what the custom LAN port mod does...

EDIT3: If you simply limit ram to about 1gig, does the client crash then due to a lack of memory?

Thing is, it worked great for one night, then the next night we entered memory leak hell.

I'd run a private server, but my router seems to be locked, and I can't add a port for the server. I've tried it a few times.

Your router blocks it? Well then you have to do port forwarding, but maybe you've alredy tried that. Could also be your windows firewall, then you'd have to change a few things there too. Sorry, but windows is emetic.
 
Yeah, I tried port forwarding, but it didn't save any of my changes. It's not really a problem, I'll get that sorted. But Chickenchunks might be the cause? I'll check it out.

Both of those mods have yet to be updated to 1.5.1 or .2, So instead of waiting for 2 mods to update they just updated without those mods. Im sure they will be back in once it updates.
 
I've added a little obstacle course that new users must complete before becoming a member. That should stop people who join just to grief. :)
 
I'm back! I was checking to see if you guys had started another server. Next time I'll have to check in sooner.

Its good to be back, the other server I've been playing on is great and all but it's just not the same.

I'm trying to get on it more too, it's still always empty though :(.
