Last night was the busiest I've seen on the server. Total of six including myself were on. There was quite a bit of lag as well. Not sure if it had to do with all the activity or not...

I feel I should know this but do you guys play survival or creative on the server? Or switch between? I've just never been too interested in creative, leaving that for when I've exhausted everything else. So if I come on and struggle for resources to make a little hut, it'll be kinda weird if the guy next door has a giant diamond castle.
 
Well @DQuaN, we are going to have to wait until spigot updates before I build spawn. The soup kitchen lasted all of 30 minutes before someone tried to battle creepers in it.
 
I won't be on the server for maybe a week or so, unless it's just to investigate. Moving to a new place and figure it's better I don't start something if I'm taking a break for a week anyway. Looking forward to it though.
 
@DQuaN I'm in the same boat as Fiero. My house has been raided. They broke through the fence, and then blocked the entrance with dirt. Took everything I had in my chests... That's just lame.


*EDIT: Think I'll stay off the server for awhile. The other worlds are inaccessible. And 'Frontier' is not a safe place to build yet.

Well, I'll just put my PvP base building skills into use to make a nice base. With nothing to do on the last day of summer holidays, I might as well try it. :)

Edit: I found a nice cave that can fit me, @crunchMONKY78 and @GTvsForza. It has no door to look natural and it's around -300 350. Just look for an exposed group of diorite blocks. At the moment I'm making chests for all three of us and making the cave look good. I also have a small cow farm going for a steady food resource. ;)

So, we have a problem. In fact, all of MC online has a problem.

CraftBukkit have been hit with a legal notice and been shut down. Spigot is based on CraftBukkit so I don't see it being updated for 1.8.

This is major. 99% of the online community is based on CraftBukkit. I don't know what we're all going to do.

Just read up on this Legal notice... Doesn't look good at all. ( Quite an uproar over who gets to use certain codes )

Looks like the MC online community will have to play with what Mojang gives us to work with. ( Which is Vanilla )

Also it leaves the problem of open to the public servers like DQuaN's... So, now we have to just hope
other players use their manners, and play nice with each other? I've never seen any online community
without some sort of moderator control that was civil towards each other.

Maybe it's just the mood I'm in, my spot on the server just got griefed, and now this news about bukkit.
I can live without all the perks that mod's provide. But, to put as much time as I do on a project in survival,
and then have some random kid come along and grief the server, just defeats any gaming pleasure in Minecraft.:banghead:

I myself play on a factions/raiding server and used to get raided every 5 days or so. Now my bases last way longer because I have developed better defenses. However, this is based on claiming. And since we're running Vanilla, our only option of surviving is to be well hidden, which I think we are in the GTCave.

No.. I'm just ranting. Keep Frontier going, it has potential. I thought i'd stay off the server until a fix came along. But that wont be happening so I'll just have to learn how to play with others i guess. Lol

In the meantime I'll move in with GT5power and keep my valuable items in my personal inventory.
 
The pc issues with this game sound like a nightmare. I am so glad the console versions have no issues at all so far. Been a perfectly smooth ride on the 360. Cant wait for the upgrade to the X1 tomorrow. Perfect timing since its the first day of my paid week off vacation. :D

There aren't any issues with the game. It's with the 3rd party server software that a lot of people use to host minecraft servers.
 
So.. went back on to snap afew pics and pack up whats left to take with me. And I noticed a new house in between mine and spawn point. Not going to point fingers but my spidey sense tells me that's my stuff. Oh well.

What's with all off the holes in the ground near spawn point? Looks like a warzone.

Meanwhile the stone house I built is up for grabs. below are the pics of the place. Comes with Furance, 2 large chests,
crafting table, small wheat and pumpkin garden, small mine/lava pit below. Cords are in the photo.

That'd be me, I fought some creepers :P Btw, did you move in with me? If you can't find the GTCave, it's at *PM me*. Dig into the wall to enter and exit; looking natural is one of the best grief protections.

Yeah.. found it, and moved in. The few items I had I put in "my" chest. ;)

Already started working the mine you have below. To be honest I tend to spend a few hours mining every night i'm on.
So, if you create a chest I'll start filling it with what I dig up.

Oh... and perhaps censor the cords to the cave. Don't want the fine citizens of Gotham knowing where the bat-cave is.

If you are starting over @DQuaN perhaps the membership should be started over too?
 
@Tyger: Plugins have been removed until Bukkit updates to 1.8, which is unlikely due to it having been bought by Mojang. If it does update to 1.8, we will go back to the Bukkit world. For now, we're running a vanilla world.

It's always been an open server.

Yes of course I can ban griefers so they never return. The problem is identifying them and having proof. With the bukkit plugins I could see every block modification by every player.

Now they have to be caught in the act.


If anyone does catch someone griefing, please screenshot it.
