Thats a great shot IMO!!! The fact of being "vibrating" gives the shot a cool look. The contrast also helps a lot. Congrats Mog:tup:

i feel like i'm in my old car with the 16K front and 14K rear suspension setting trying to take a photo of that thing. quite an unusual concept, but i like it.

Your definitely right about that car looking better out of focus because that thing is butt ugly. Anyways, the shot is very simple yet still very cool and interesting.

The word boring and your gallery go together like lamb and tuna fish, not very well. The elise shot is stunning. I'm having a hard time thinking of words to desribe how beautiful that shot is. The Toyota RSC shot is very artistic. The blurring creates a very soft and relax feel, plus it hides the cars natural ugliness. Suave man very suave :drool::drool::drool::drool:

Great pics:tup:
+rep because you always produce competion winning shots, i agree what you said it does look better out of focus.
Its still an ugly car though:lol:

Yup, it's very ugly. I like the wheels though. Thanks for the +rep!

Haha, I guess it's because is so ugly.... But you transformed it! I like the "vibrating" focal blur, and the combination of colors you used in Motegui (?). Yep, pretty simple, quite effective 👍

Yeah, I don't quite understand the vibrating focal blur that GT4 produces but as long as it looks cool, who cares?!

Thanks NTX.

It's not bad. I like how the blur seems like it's vibrating though.

Thankyou.

Hehe, it does sort of feel like that! Thanks for your feedback

Cheers Krame!

Thanks for your feedback on the Elise and RSC! 👍

I think it's the blur method that GT4 uses. A high quality effect like PS could take a long time, so the quickest way could be "vibrate" a simple image to get it diffuse. The same of motion blur, in fact the "moved frames" are visible with low shutter speeds :D

My comment on this shot is in my latest podcast if you really want to hear my honest opinion on the other opinions...

The Elise...Best shot of the last months!

Nice shot. Not more imo. I like the fact that it's something different, but you could've made more out of it. Maybe another angle or so.

I love the RSC concept and it looks like a moon car for me
the lighting is fantastic and the blur is nice
but I would prefer a strong blur
maybe with something in the foreground in focus
anyhow that is one unique update

Subaru Impreza @ Infineon Raceway
I took a basic white Impreza for a spin at Infineon and ended up doing this into one of the corners. With the help of the handbrake, of course. :) With this photo I was aiming for a simple, bright action shot.

Enjoy!

Like the angle alot, but you have forgotten to blur the background through the windows. Also, there seems to be somethnig weird about the right-front wheel...and the change of reflection on the right is weird as well. I stil like it though, highly realistic 👍

Thanks for the feedback.

The lack of blur through the windows was down to pure laziness, I really couldn't be bothered to do it!

The front right wheel has had quite a lot of editing done to the shadow beneath it as when I first got the shot into Photoshop, the wheel had no shadow and it looked very very strange. That might be what's weird about it. It's also not turned in fully.

I like it a lot.

Like ultra said, there's something about that wheel that feels somewhat strange, but can't get my finger on what it is.
Also, the headlight on the centre of the image seems to have the black outline a bit jagged, or maybe that's just me.
About the background seen through the windows not being blurred, I wouldn't notice it if it had not been pointed by ultra, since there aren't any stationary objects within it's frame.

Great job overall, Mog. 👍

How many pics did you take to make this one? Because the 'weird' wheel seems to be all GT4 blur, and the car is fully in focus.

I'm quite happy with the wheel, but if someone can see what is wrong then please let me know!
The background was left stationary through the windows because there isn't much there that looks as if it isn't blurred, but I may fix that at some point.

It took 3 pictures to make this shot, one of the car completely still, one focusing on the front wheel with a slower shutter speed to make it look as if it's moving and then another of the rear wheel to make that look as if it's moving too.

Thanks for all of the feedback! 👍

Very nice mog! Action shots are always difficult to take and edit seriously in PS. You've done a great job on this one. On the first sight it's just a normal shot, but if you take a closer look, you can see that there's a lot (or just efficient) work in it.

Very clean! you must have been cleaning for some hours
let me guess ... you have used multiple photos to get everything in focus
anyway good job whatever you make this look great

Nice shots Moglet I really like that Subaru pic. I like the camera position most as it gives the sensation of a drift which is what it is supposed to be.....I think unless it is out of control. Great work.

I'm using the multiphoto thing myself to work on a few pics currently, hope to have my own gallery shortly.

About the wheel, the only thing I can say about how it looks is - and it's strange, since the way you have it should be the best possible way - perhaps it's a bit too sharp where the wheel meets what's directly behind it.

Don't know a better way of putting it, hope you know what I mean by that.
Maybe a light touch of "smudgy-smudgy" there?...

Btw, did you get to see my pic on the Photoshop Comp Fortnight 6? I see you never voted for that comp, and would like to know what you think of it. PM me if you have the time.
