Remember you've got until the end of qualy to join.but I'll try and make it.
Have you booked ahead for fine weather this time?
Thank you SirThanks for heads up @IfAndOr
Would you mind checking before that round and advising - thanks!
@slthree - car allocation tables have been amended for Monday and Wednesday showing you as a Reserve Driver. Due to absences, it is likely that you will be able to get a race (or spectate) most times that you wish.
And sorry to the Porsche driver and everyone else behind him in my row. I accidentally stalled my car right after the start and kept everyone for a while sitting behind me.
In my defense, I haven't slept for almost 24 hours yesterday. We had to deal with our pet's medical emergency. I wasn't even sure if I would make it to the race.
Looking forward to another round!
That was me in the Porsche, no worries! I think there's a setting somewhere to prevent stalling or at least to auto-restart your engine.
@Sick Cylinder is there any chance we could squeeze in a Nurburgring round in to the current championships? Group C cars at the 'Ring has to be one of the most epic combinations in motorsport history, and it was always a repeat fixture in the calendar in the WSC era. GT3 would be interesting there too.
I figure you're talking the Nordschleife? Yes, please! That would be amazing! It just offers a driving experience different from any other modern track. The Group C beasts 'round there is downright scary (and I mean this in a "let's get out there and have a blast" way).
Sorry, Sick! You caught me off-guard the first time. I figured I might be able to slip through but... At least I dodged you a few laps later!
Thanks for the racing action yesterday. I practiced quite a bit so I wouldn't embarrass myself in the first race, and it payed off handsomely.

I don't think you could have been clicking on save as you exited the menu?it kept opening with a limit of 12
Unless you manually switched them off you were probably* racing with ABS and TC set to low - the defaults for the GT3s. The race hard tyres were being helped get/keep stickier by a 40° (August) track temperature which keeps them fun to drive. Removing/changing either of these makes them trickier.they are not only still drivable with everything off, but are also an absolute hoot

Speaking of the pits, I didn't expect rules to be changed on the fly. Is this what you typically do? I may have to pay closer attention to messages in the chat room.. and reconsider disabling notifications during the race too.
Turn the notifications off, it really, is a great help, I did send a friend request, but, your name here. Hope Kitty gets better.Speaking of the pits, I didn't expect rules to be changed on the fly. It's slightly more complicated than that.In the room settings all aids were switched to NO
Yes I have all these turned on in the single player game, it does make it much more realistic.manual control in the pits, manual cooldown lap, etc.
You can actually load in replays via a usb stick. I'm not sure if John knows how to output and share it though. Anyway you don't want to see my race faux pas, the pictures are damming enough. It can't be shared, can it?
And it depends on what you have the driving assists set to in the game's Authenticity menu. If it's set to authentic even though the room will say NO you will still have the option to use the various aids IF the real world counterpart also makes use of them. And since I believe it defaults to low ABS and TC you may have been using them without realising it. The levels can be adjusted or switched off completely if you have the buttons mapped.
I tried the Aston @rj5992 - Stable / TCS low(or high) / ABS low / brakes @ 68\100 = Not bad at all. The TC made a difference on this car - although on loose it was still a bit wayward!
I had them set to NO (off) as per Sick's races and the lobby screen reflected this. But I can still access them on track if needed, and I'm pretty sure I have been always been able to!What did you set, realistic or off
Now't wrong with stable, especially if it's better than loose.I hate using stable as a setup
Well yes and no. You can copy a replay onto a drive but then you would need to transfer it to another PS4 with PC2 on it to watch it. It's not a video file in other words. Are you saying I can copy a replay from the game directly to a USB drive?
I am not sure this is true, @IfAndOr .
I have mine set to Realistic in the game's main settings. I did a quick check at the beginning of qualifying, which was still with @Sick Cylinder as host and realistic driving aids disallowed, and the little icons for ABS and TC would not flash. So I do think that host preferences is prioritized over your personal game settings.
I didn't check during the race, though. What did you set, realistic or off?
Well I'm even more confused then!I reckon Willi's right here – I have mine set to realistic but last night none of the respective lights in my HUD were illuminated (nor did they flash), and the brakes were locking with too much pressure. Didn't feel like power was being cut when wheels were spinning up either
