FOV discussions crack me up, I didn’t even know this was a thing until I joined this group.

Don’t get me wrong it makes total sense!

However, I don’t have the resources to update the 19” monitor I use to play the game on....with a squeaky race wheel bolted to a rubbish office desk...in my garage! Haha!

I’m always very envious when I see other people’s home setups!

And there I was thinking my setup was meh and I must have a DD wheel!

Well, objectively, the Playseat I have is not very comfortable. And the T3PA throttle pedal started squeaking only after a short while. I don't use this rig all that often really. FFB is toned down (like 50% reduction) only after a couple of laps. So, yeah, much room for improvement!

Points are scored from 1st (20) to 15th (1).

20, 17, 15, 13, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

You finished 12th so get 4 points. @IfAndOr retired to the pits so gets 3 points. @rj5992 disconnected so gets the points for one place below the last person in the room - he therefore gets 2 points.

Disconnection points were developed to reward people for making the effort to attend the meeting (the reason for the disconnection does not matter - it might be rage, frustration, receiving a phone call or an angry wife returning from work! - or just a disconnection!).

No disconnection points were awarded for Wednesday's meeting because everyone disconnected - that meeting was therefore void and no points were awarded.

I really like Brno. One of these days I'll get to have a race there. :)

I like circuits that are not too long with nice elevation changes and fast flowing corners but dislike tight hairpins/chicanes.

There's a few contenders but I'd say my top 3 real world in game tracks are. (Subject to change!)
1\ Brno
2\ Watkins Glen
3\ Mugello

Bannockbrae gets a mention as a fictional track.


Unfortunately, this didn't make a noticeable difference.
That's a shame. You must have quite a narrow FOV?
You could try increasing the 2nd figure to the maximum of 120 and perhaps lowering the 3rd one to 100kph. Worth a try.

Thanks ILIV, Slthree, it's a bit easier, doing them in game, real life, I like the lighting in PC2.
I like taking photos, but haven't got really big lens, but no really special, be putting some, on from Croft Retro Weekend.:D
 
@John Wells may I suggest uploading full resolution stills to imgur.com as a gallery, album/gallery per race, and then sharing a link here?

Been watching this baseline set up video, when want to save changes, it goes to another, file. Its quite good this.:)

No John. Pictures that are posted directly to threads are automatically resized to a lower resolution. They never used to be but it was done to improve page loading speeds and save space.

You can upload full size pictures to your personal media section on GTP and then add link them to the threads.

Yeah, I couldn't find that either.

You can add pictures (media) HERE.

In John's case it would be probably be best to create a new folder (Album) for each set of race pictures, eg. GT3 Spa 12\8\19 - otherwise there'd be to many in one folder and you'd never find anything.

When you've added the pictures you could post a link to the album like THIS

You eventually have multiple albums such as THIS . (ok I've not got many :))

Individual pictures can be added (linked) to the thread, if needed, by clicking on the camera icon in the toolbar on the message window. It's what I used in my previous post.


It's all a little trickier to do initially but once you've done it a couple of times it becomes much easier - for both the user and the viewers. The actual selection and uploading is actually quicker I find.
It would result in higher resolution shots and would also tidy the threads up I suppose - we'd also be able to go back and look at previous race pictures much easier. They'd all be in one media area.

where does lights under the fence come's from? :)
It's one of those Scapes thingys. I think it's a couple of spotlights that I diffused to hide them and then added a bit of star effect.

It's not my livery on the GT86 it's one I downloaded.
