I thought we were doing Rouen-Les-Essarts per the schedule on page 1, so spent time yesterday afternoon learning the track.
Oh dear. :P I shouldn't laugh because I've done the same thing myself. :)
Glad you enjoyed it though, it'll be better on a shorter track where we are grouped together more.

hate the sheer amount of time I have to spend just to get a car I need!
I gave up with that. If it becomes a chore it's not a game anymore. I don't think I've ever been anywhere near affording the expensive cars, you really need to do a lot of online stuff. You can buy them in the store Sick, if you're desperate!

As you saw, after deleting a couple of games I'd finished I managed to update GTS (nearly an hour!!) then get it going again. Still not too keen though. Although it was a bit of fun around Goodwood. You need to get a headset Sick to relay information. ;)

The race was a bit of a mess for me; I thought we were doing Rouen-Les-Essarts per the schedule on page 1

Rouen is scheduled for 20th April. With the 13th being a holiday Monday we were originally scheduled to have a break i.e. the 13th is listed as round 0. An extra (non-championship race) was added due to the Corona virus. My race was a mess - I've been spending any free time grinding on GTS trying to earn the credits for a D Type Jaguar - with no time left for Project Cars. The braking points are hard to spot - I can only imagine what it is like racing at Le Mans in real life - especially at night in the rain while tired! One driver tried to do the whole race on his own, but missed one gear shift! Saint John Horsfall actually completed the whole of the Spa 24 hours on his own!

I was a bit more at home with Goodwood; Sick, hope you got what you needed out of the test.

A big thank you to everyone who stayed online for test races on GTS. I made the mistake with the settings of selecting "Public" - I don't know what the randoms thought of this crazy guy changing the settings after every race. I found out a lot - the settings are relatively easy to change between races. The classic Mini Cooper S works best on Comfort Hard tyres. The Renault Gordini was fine on Comfort Medium. I raced the Porsche 356 on Medium fronts with Soft rears. The Cobra was excellent on Sports Hard tyres.

Thank you IFAndOr and all others who re-downloaded GTS - it is very much appreciated. It was nice to see some custom liveries on your cars IFAndOr - even though they were a challenge to the eyes - I'm not sure the Duke would approve!

I have got a headset somewhere - just got to find it!

Got first bit downloaded, so can play the game now, doesn't to bad, still a lot more to go..
Found this, might help, the grind.

Great race again, car was good around, the track, which was a surprise.

I've found that I can get 105,000 credits every 4 laps of Willow Springs, Big Willow!
So just 762 laps will get you your D Type Jaguar then. That's probably over 20 hours straight. Easy. :sly:
(Be funny if you won one on the carousel afterwards)

It was a surprise. I was expecting it to be much more bumpy (rattly through my wheel) than it was.

A quite race really. I avoided a few cars going off track and just went around fairly steadily. I managed to overtake Don. In the pits! :)

What have they done with GT Sport, pleased haven't payed full price, would been very disappointed. Only got 3 tracks just now, rest are downloading, not many ether not like PC2.
Why have they done, all mileage, level ups, want drive cars, not fight aliens. Cars as always look great, but we seen all 20 years ago, sound is poor as well, Dirt2 is better.

One thing I liked to do with GT sport to earn money is the circuit experience and the driving tests. I think I remember hearing that there's 10m Cr. up for grabs of you gold all of them.

I'll quite happily join you to help test out settings on GT sport. Just need to pick the game up from my house first and take it to my other halfs where I'm quarantining. It's a bit more forgiving than PC2 on controller (although I still will wish I was on the rig! Sorry I'm not around at the moment, whilst you're busy a slot would be wasted on me without my rig.

Speaking of online racing, saw my first genuinely enjoyable online Pro race just now and had to share it with you guys. It's the legends series on R Factor and this race has an incredible battle between Jenson Button and Jan Magnusson throughout. With the added bonus of them racing McLaren M23's. Enjoy!

That was quite intense! I think they might have the track limits turned off. We would have been bombarded with "slow down" messages taking their lines. :)

Come and join in on a Wednesday or Friday, it's serious but fun racing that probably doesn't require your rig. The game "lost" my wheel last Friday and I raced for the evening with the controller. Fairly successfully considering I'd never done that before.

I have been watching, Stay At Home GP, Riders from this years MotoGP racing PS4. Its really good to watch, battling along with each other.

Still down loading GTSport, very easy to play, with controller, is their any way to calibrate wheel?

Still down loading GTSport,
At this rate John GT7 will be out before you get Sport fully installed. :P

Although there are only 2 adjustable settings for FFB on the wheel, unlike previous versions you can now change them while on track - via the pause menu. Which is an improvement over having to keep backing out and restarting.
Without checking, I think the top one is the torque (centering), which I have low, and the bottom one is the sensitivity (feel), which I have higher.

When racing yesterday, did anyone see random objects fall/ lie on the track - and I don't mean the lap 1 chaos type :boggled:. I had it two or three times; looked like large pieces of metal maybe, which then seemed to disappear? One flew seemingly off the bank onto the track; another sat on the track. Wasn't sure if it was a rendering issue, debris left by accidents, or something else. I don't use PC2 enough to know if it is unusual for this to happen.

They were the crash barrier hay bales that had had ended up on the track after someone had made contact with them. Good job the damage is disabled or hitting one of them would have ruined the front of the cars.

I don't think hay bales would pass the safety ratings these days!

my messy race yesterday:
Yes I did notice. I passed your stricken car on a number of occasions. :)

Thanks Andreas, I definitely don't have it and didn't know what a DLC was until two minutes ago, so that must be it. It appears Mugello is part of the Ferrari DLC pack. Guess I'll get that then.
