If the race started 1 hour earlier (8:30pm Eastern) would you participate?

also, sorry the pics are so bad. the photomode was really screwy in this replay (f-stop and shutter speed weren't working, sometimes the camera didn't aim where i wanted to). Ended up just giving up.
You too? I thought maybe it was a photomode problem after an update, but maybe our race just got messed with. It took me a while to get pictures to because you frame a shot you like and then when you take it the camera moved and twisted and completely not the picture you wanted.

Hehe, what did we say before about beer? This is the Sti vs. Evo Race. :-D

Good to have, just rename the save file and point it to the Evo Race post.

Also, wondering if we'd be up to change the name of the "group". The word endurances just seems off. How about Monday Night Endurance Club?

Maybe we are going to have 2 endurance races next Monday so the name will be correct ;)

Sadly no beer last night.

The word "club" implies membership. I've purposefully kept this event open to everyone and anyone because I hate how every other event has a signup and "16 spots available and if you can't commit to being at the race every single week for the next 72 weeks then don't signup." It's stupid (not your idea, just the common "championship" format on GTPlanet online racing), I just want a place for casual racing.

And the word "endurances" is awesome

So does that mean there might be a GT300 race going on Monday in addition to the Nissan March, or am I completely confused about that whole deal? Either way, I have cars ready to go for whatever. I actually think the March is going to be a pretty good race - I'm really interested in how people will be tuning their bhp/kg ratio to get optimized lap times, not to mention how people will utilize the ballast for weight balance. I'm looking forward to it!

Sorry for the confusion. This Monday (the 14th) is the Nissan March race @ TGTT. Upcoming races are tentatively as follows:

* APR 11: mikethehockeyfan's secret race.

Didnt know Lexus had a GT300 car in their dealership. Going to have to buy it next time I start up GT5.
Methinks that car is in the Toyota dealership, not Lexus.

I've been using the ASL ARTA Garaiya in the GTPlanet SuperGT Series recently and I see no reason not to use the car for this endurance race.;) Now if I can only get it to race towards the front of the GT300 pack more often. :( Will the rules for that race have each of the GT300 cars stay very much towards stock conditions?

It is in the Lexus dealer between the LFA and IS-F DTM concept car.
:ouch: You're right. :embarrassed:

Anyways, I may as well pick up my March from the Nissan dealer while I'm at it. ;)

I was wondering how we'll do Qualifying for this weeks event? Maybe a sinbgle lap of the track from a standing start before the Start/Finish line? :D

last time we did sprints the first race was fastest qualifying lap, the res of the races were reverse order based on previous race. I liked how that worked, how did everyone else feel?

Doesn't look like I'll be able to make the race tomorrow night guys. I'll be having a little pre-birthday fun with a friend of mine. Hope the race turns out well for you all!

Have fun. I'll try to get the replays up by mid-week

I've been PMing back and forth with mikethehockeyfan about his upcoming "secret" race and it sounds like he's got thing thing nailed down pretty well. I'm going to defer to Mike on posting of relevant information regarding this upcoming race (April 11 I believe). From a logistical standpoint it's going to work pretty well and it won't be too difficult / expensive to get the "secret" car.

Thanks Mike for organizing this upcoming race!

And full disclosure: Mike hasn't even told me what the secret car or track is going to be - although he's stated that the track will be made public well in advance.

Race Day bump

I'm quite looking forward to this race. I'm torn between Mid-Turbo and stage 1 weight or low turbo and up to stage 2 weight. Then again, could supercharge it...

Or you can do both and make weight and power adjustments in the tuning area to get the correct PP.

Did you make sure to change your clocks so you show up on time? :sly:

Did anyone find a good suspension setup for the March yet?

And BTW, are we still GMT - 5 now or are we GMT - 4?

Right now I'm sticking with weight one and some version of mid turbo, muffler and ECU. I'll have to slightly adjust PP, but the weight 2 does drop a significant enough amount, IMO. Power isnt everything, but I think it will be tonight.

PS: I set the clocks last night. After showing up to Capps race an hour late yesterday...Cant believe I pooched that :banghead:

building my car for tonight. Any tips?

Question: Do i have to use sport softs, or can i use something less?

Is Aero allowed?

The tire restrictions will be setup such that you can use any tire as long as it's not a racing tire (i.e. RH, RM, RS).

Aero is permitted, although it will be interesting to see what people elect to do with it tonight.

As far as setup, I'm in the dark. will probably just use the stock suspension setup

can we use the power limiter?
Yes.

There are basically three things to know for this race:
1) You must race the Nissan March 12SR '07
2) The stickiest tires you can use are Sport Soft
3) You have an allowance of 375PP. You can do whatever you want to your car to get up to this limit.

For complete details check out the first post here

It's not an endurance if it's sprint races.. I won't be able to make it.
