Montmelo Circuit de Catalunya confirmed in next update

Catalunya is a good addition. Not a first choice for me when it comes to European tracks but it's still great to see the track roster growing.

Laguna Seca. One of my least favorite North American tracks. It would be hell in Sport Mode. There is only one real racing line at that place.

Would rather have...

VIR
Daytona
Road America
Mid Ohio
Road Atlanta
Sebring

I wish they would add some GTE cars that are missing.

Ford GT
Ferrari 488 GTE
Aston Martin's new car

I can't see PD putting a Seat in the game... I mean, Seat? Really? Where on the lost of most wanted cars (here on GTPlanet) were the Seats?

Unless it's a VGT, I don't really think there's anything interesting about Seat. Maybe the Leon Cupra and that's it. All of them (or the great majority of them) are FWD too which makes it even worse IMO.

I'd hope PD to put their time modeling a cool car from another brand instead. I just don't care about FWD cars. :D

Haha Seat was a weird car wheb it got introduced in GT. It never gave me the care to drive one. Maybe i am so used seeing tons of them where i live or its design is not really inspiring.

@Loverson

I think they're cheaper VW basically. Nothing really special, except the design language from when Walter da Silva was there, which was a long time ago.

This is sweet! Now if the pattern does continue, with the American finals, I would most likely assume Circuit of the Americas since that’s a very popular circuit as of lately, and it is for sure an FIA certified track. I’m gonna throw out that prediction and see what happens ;)

A great addition to the track roster - if it comes with decent track limits. Personally I'm hoping for both the GP and shorter variant as I actually quite like the latter.

As for the matter of an American track reveal my bet would be COTA as they seem to gravitate towards very modern tracks.

P.S.: I'd love to see TCR cars in GTS! This would also include an actually cool Seat :P

You would be surprised at just how many of those race classes are not shown on TV in the States. Unless you pay the Cable or Satellite companies a lot extra for a channel that will show them. Even then you won't get them all and the ones you do are shown at 3:00am in the morning.
Its really sad that most Americans are not into a wider range of Motorsports like most other countries are.
This is exactly how I know about this track. I'm a huge MotoGP fan and I pay the cable company extra money for a sports package . I don't lay it down until 5 or 6 a.m. And I occasionally catch some DTM races. Just watched supercars at Mnt Panorama night before last . Felt good to see the real thing and learn a thing or 2.

To me it's the opposite, I want PD to add SPA asap just to know which circuit gonna replace spa as the most asked Track update :D

Hmm, which definition? All real-world, all fantasy, or mixed?

Real-world and mixed, it'd have to be my favorite* track in the world.
Fantasy, Deep Forest.

Sources: None. I don't do sources.
*=Think British GP, also highly sarcastic use of the word favorite.

So, in theory PD now adds new tracks based on upcoming events. For example Red Bull Ring is added a week before second GT World Tour held in the same venue. The event also introduced Fuji which leads to Asian Final held in Japan. Then European Final have Catalunya. So, it is clear what is coming to American Final, perhaps between the newer COTA or the classic Laguna Seca imo. Infineon/Sonoma is rather good alternative as well by the way since myself enjoyed it back in GT4 days. As for fictional tracks, maybe the current lineup is enough for a moment but there is possibilities for more fictional tracks in GTS

And last but not least, Spa. Let's say they will go to Belgium for World Final... Well, probably... :P

I mean that's on those Americans really, it never stopped me from finding and watching other racing that wasn't NASCAR, Indy/CART and Formula 1 as I got older. There are plenty of Motorsport news outlets and they talk about all forms of racing. So it's confusing why more people don't think to use that as a means to learn about other racing beyond their regional niche.

I agree with @Pfei that your average GT player is probably not a big racing fan (which is why the Spa train is confusing). I would even caution that they're not big car people either and they just happen to like the idea of racing in a video game and progressing through to new challenges and vehicles.

I was kind of hoping for a track PC2 (and AC!) hasn't already got..!

Ascari would have been my #1 choice given a Spanish slant. Already basically modeled in GT6. It just needed the track limits better defined at the two chicanes (real life drivers go four off there with impunity). Had many an epic race there in GT6.

It's getting to the point that GTS really needs to differentiate itself from PC2 and AC/ACC. Keeping adding tracks those games already have doesn't help GTS step away from the 'already done that' blues.

GT6 had some stuff that simply was unique to itself. But it's turning into a 'meh, been there, raced that' title.

Kinda disappointed to be honest. I was looking forward to fictional tracks after missing the pattern last update. Guess PD just ran out of ideas and variations for the existing tracks.

Real world circuits are good if you want realism, but most of them are honestly pretty darn boring to drive. Catalunya is one of those that's just understeer heaven in anything with less downforce than a Formula car. Also hated the reprofiling of the 2 last corners with the chicane. If the original layout isn't included I'm gonna riot.

Anyway, hopefully the new cars will make up for this update. It's 1 Year Anniversary PD, do something amazing for once!

Most likely would be Daytona. They constantly updates the circuit from GT5 Prologue until GT6 then vanishes in GTSport?

Many indications suggests that they won't bring original GT1-6 tracks into GTSport. Last time they bring new Original track (ST. Croix), it didn't exactly have a positive reception.

Quite a "meh" circuit for me. Not in my top 5 in Europe, maybe not even in Spain!

It would be a nice surprise to get an old layout of european circuits like Hockenheim or Zandvoort. Perfect for the pre-1979 competitions!

Agreed. New circuits always welcome.

For me something like Guadalope, Montjuic, Jerez, Motorland, Valencia (street) or Jarama would have been better from Spain

There's a strong part of me that doesnt like Silverstone and yet I know that there's so many English people here who want it and its the defacto home track of Formula 1 so... it *should* be here.... and it was here in GT5/6... we should be glad we get a new track and nine cars every month.

I also go by Forza's drab depiction of Catalyuna. Maybe PD can jazz it up and make it a bit more inviting.

Outsourcing, maybe?
Yep, but I guess there are other factors. And I think it's 99% sure we'll see the return of Silverstone. Even if Ascari is one of my favorite tracks, it's not suited for FIA races.

Unfortunately, it looks like they struggle with the hardware and the core of GTSport will never change: AI, night, weather...

Probably not, I'm guessing they are saving it up for the next full fat GT. St Croix is a misfire, but I've actually enjoyed quite a lot of the original tracks in the base game (Dragon Trail, Alsace, Sardegna). It's a huge improvement over the original tracks in GT5/6 (Madrid, Cape Ring et al).

I'll enjoy ST Croix thoroughly if it has a layout that's not too long.

I'd guess Daytona. Maybe Road Atlanta or Road America, if Laguna Seca is out. COTA seems obvious with Lewis winning the inaugural F1 race there. Makes for a good future reference lap feature.
