Which pages are the list for posts 201-300 by toMsonsLLC and 301-400 by Seismica? or are they just added to the OP?

It's a work in progress. It's a pretty big list, it takes time to put together

To help us put the list together quicker, make sure your posts clearly list the Manufacturer, Model name and year.

If you don't put these in (Most commonly, the year is missing) we have to search them out which takes 7.592*10^6 times as long. It's easier if we can simply copy and paste it all in, rather than having to go scouring the web for the year. What is annoying is when people list "Porsche 911 turbo" and they fail to add the year and even the model of 911 (i.e. 997).

And always, if there is a sedan and a coupe version of the car, please be specific as to which one you want. Even if you have the model name and year, and there wasn't both a sedan and a coupe of that car made in that year, it still helps to tell us, we're not all knowing and we certainly don't want to have to look up the car online to determine whether it is indeed the coupe or not.

EDIT:

I suggest using this site to search for cars you're not sure of the year of:

http://www.supercars.net/

I've just been looking for the Ford Escort Mk II RS2000 that apparently doesn't exist. That is because the user didn't post a model year, and I can't add it to the list. But he's in luck, because it is on the first page of this thread. Odd how I couldn't find it. If you're going to pick specific yet vague/unknown/older models then please do the back research yourself.

I'm pretty sure there was only one version of the Ferrari F50 ever produced, right? Hence why it's so high on the list; for comparison, Lamborghini Diablo is probably a more desired car (having been around considerably longer), but was produced in a ton of different versions, and thus the votes for it in this thread are spread across the several existing versions, none of which are as popular on their own as the F50.

I like the F50 too, sure, but I personally think all votes for various variations of a model should count towards one and the same model (like Diablo, Gallardo, Miura, or 355, 360 or Testarossa, etc). Then, after deciding which MODEL is most popular, one can look again at the votes to determine which VERSION of said model should be in the game. I'm really tired right now, but I hope I made my point clear.

Good point indeed... Although there actually was an F50 GT, too. ;)

Great idea with the list. Hope Polyphony takes it into consideration and eventually releases a lot of DLC for us. :P However, why is Porsche still being mentioned?! We all know PD don't have the license, so why bother including it in the list..? Just my 2 cents.

Anyway, here's my list:
-----------------------
Ferrari F50 '95
Ferrari F355 Berlinetta '94
BMW M3 E30 Evo II '89
Lamborghini Diablo SV '95
Koenigsegg CCX '06

They will sooner or later. You can't keep the greatest car manufacturer in the world from the greatest racing game in the world forever you know! Porsche + GT = heaven.

I agree with you mate. I've tried to merge the votes, but people is somewhat butthead about them... I'm annoyed with the Pontiac Trans Am, per example. Look how many versions are there. I honestly find it nonsense, but I'm no american cars fan so I don't understand about it... So I just let it be.

Saab Aero-X concept '06
Saab 9000 Aero
Saab 9-3 Viggen '01
Saab 9-3 Viggen Pike's peak '99
Saab 9-3 Aero biopower Rallycross car '08

Ferrari F355 Berlinetta '94 - still the most beautiful of the modern Ferraris, in my opinion.

Ariel Atom 3 '07 (not the V8 - too ridiculous, although I wouldn't say no to both...)
Lotus 2-Eleven '07
Caterham R500 '08 - this excellent video from the sadly now-defunct Drivers Republic should explain why these three superlight track cars deserve to be in the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6w8nC77-Ugc

Porsche 997 GT3 RS '10 (facelift) - the latest, most hardcore 911. Might be a waste of a vote if there's really no chance due to licensing issues. But obviously, if they can get Porsche, it would make sense to do a pack. There are many great Porsches to choose from.

okay heres my 5:

'89 BMW E30 M3 evo II
'97 BMW E36 M3 evo
2007 Porsche 911 GT3
'68 Porsche 917/917LH (gulf and martini liveries respectively)
'98 Porsche GT1 Racecar

i think it would be cool if PD did like a rendering service where you sent them pics and info of ur car, and then they would send you the rendered car (usb drive in the mail lol) for you to play in the gave... i wanna race the GT3 at the ring with the new physics soooo bad...

It seems the tally hasn't been recalculated for a while... I think the thread is a great idea, but seems like a lot of work to keep the tally up to date.

As an idea, perhaps it would be worth taking say the top 20 or 50 cars after a while and then starting a vote for just those cars?

Not to make the results biased or anything but come on people look at the Tyrrell P34 :P

ScheckterJody1976-07-31Tyrrell-FordP34.jpg

Some of it yes, But come on its so cool and different and it would be nice to see how it compares with the likes of something like the F1 2007

Opel Manta 400 '82
Opel Kadett E GSi '88
Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth '87
Ford Escort Mark II 2.0 L RS2000 '75
Peugeot 306 GTI-6/Rallye '01

1. 1993-1999 BMW E36 M3
2. '89 BMW E30 M3 evo II
3. 01' BMW E39 M5
4. 97' BMW E36 328i Coupe
5. 97' Ferrari 355 GTS (Coupe)

Guess what my make of car is? :)

For the sake of brining up the E36 M3 votes, please just add them to the one currently with the highest votes! Its pretty insane theres no BMW E36s in Gran Turismo 5 due to the immense enthusiast community out there in the USA, Europe and (somewhat smaller) Australia.

Just look at www.bimmerforums.com at the ridiculous amount of activity in the E36 sections of the site! IMO there should be several E36 models :)
