Nice!
I've got to keep trying it would seem! (Besides having a tough time drifting that hairpin corner to get into that jump, I can't seem to get stopped and into accelerated CD fast enough).

Jump? What jump? There is no jump.
FYI you're supposed to make a u-turn right from the start and exit the building.

Maybe he found a way to lose the cops by driving up the doughnut factory. There's no real do's or don'ts in something like this.

I may have said to turn the car around but that is just a general tip
.

I never get rid of the cops unless I'm not doing a u-turn at the beginning. Any tips you might want to share?

Set a new time yesterday as well, 35.00 seconds with a slightly different setup. Going to post it later on today.

I am turning around.
Take out the cop that is inevitably at the bottom off the ramp, use the NOs and take out the SUV's at the exit, go left, use that NOs to take the small jump. Use that NOs to boost around the corner and squeeze into the ramp that's at 135' to the right which jumps across the highway and over the cube van to get into CD (if a cop doesn't spawn in the yard there), hit the Ignition after I get stopped.
Problem is actually getting stopped without crashing, as that adds 8 seconds to your time...

Just cut the engine if you crash outside their sight. If the game doesn't reset you it still countdown quick while crashing.

Oh lookie it decided to not spawn any cops besides the SUV block.

For a while, the game wouldn't let me shut of the car during a pursuit.... drove me nuts...

Anyway, I have 31.16. [ OTP, BN, LC, AB, SG]

Told you Ambushes are glitchy garbage. If the game has a cop coming from the road it makes them all not follow you & disappear. That's how I got under 30 seconds. So we can please have a race or w/e those average speed ones are called next. I want an actual display of skill to post.

Stop complaining all the damn time... first you cry about how you're not going to play, then you play your butt off- even making it to first place- and still complain again...

Like I said, calm yourself. I want everyone to enjoy playing.

Doubting that anyone is going to submit a new time, I'm putting up Week 3 early. However if you do mange to set a new time for Week 2, you may still submit it before 12pm EST Monday.

I also went through the trouble to put down which cars you are available for this race, though I'm sure most people will end up relying on the Lambo, and Porsches.

I've already tried the 911 Turbo which I set 1:10 with rather easily, and haven't been able to match it in the Alfa nor M3. Take it upon yourself as a challenge to score a good time with those. The Lambo and Carrera have similar stats so that's more or less down to handling preference or maybe offroad-ability. The 911 Turbo is still a great choice, and you need not even bother with the Tesla since the last half is all driving down one street.

Well, I haven't been able to get below 35 seconds yet. I'll give it another quick go when I get home then move onto the next round.

Louzy cops spawning whenever they feel like. Though, I must admit, I kinda like this ambush event.

Velaxi - 1:09.81 - Alfa Romeo 4C Concept [TTP - BNP - LCP - ABP - LGP]
Upper :)

Now that I've got the route & strategy down, time to try with the Lambo!

Also, Great Time AOS-!

According to the Recommend's page it shows the 4C as the "best" choice according to stats. The Telsa would be if the speed wasn't so horrid.

Note:
-Track Tires Pro won't give you much of an edge as all it boosts is a tad bit of Offroad.
-The last half will high-speed driving, so here it is a test of how well you can maintain a top speed through a few bends. So get Burn Nitrous Pro.
-Short Gears will definitely give you a small advantage in the beginning, but you'll most certainly need to use Long Gears after you leave the windy tunnel passages.

Also, the problem with the Alfa I think is that it lacks power at high-revs and it has a lower top speed than the Lambo or Porsches.

I'm finding that the key to this one is getting at least 2 takedowns off the start, and then taking the oncoming (left) ramp rather than the right. Without that NOs, you can't powerdrift the winding tunnels, dropping you ~20-25mph.

The Beamer and the Porsche are definitely lacking for this race; I agree with AOS-, I think the higher top-end of the Lambo will really help, despite the better handling of the 4C.

The 4C barely drifts & will not compete with the Lambo at all. It can barely make the tunnel drifts where as the Lambo drifts them like nothing & keeps its speed up better. The BMW suffers the same horrid drift. Basically it's only the Lambo & Porsche if it's top speed ain't too far below 200MPH. The Tesla would hands down win this if it didn't top at 140MPH.

People still don't drive on the Oncoming side? You gotta learn how to do habitually in here.

To me, the most crucial point is how you manage your nitrous after the repair station. You could choose to travel at high speeds before the intersection, or you can use some here and use some there. I've been choosing the latter.

Dumping it all on the straight after the station is not the way to go. Also avoided hitting a billion poles. It does actually slow you down a bit.

Definitely saving half for after the 90'. And yeah, if you're tagging poles you're not going to make it...

Oh wait. I confused myself with timezones. Sorry, Hyland.
Eh, no problem. I too thought that I had two more hours left to submit my time. I myself just figured out that it was EST and not CET. Time zones aren't my thing.

:dunce:

Basically, you ougtha submit a time before 18:00 where you are. I think. We got Daylight Savings on right now so I'm not sure if Sweden follows it too.

I'll edit in GMT time so there should be less confusion.

My bad entirely! I mixed up 12 PM for being 24:00 (12 AM that is). I feel really, really stupid. Keep the leaderboard as it is for fairness sake.
