Only a question please Hami:when you talk about ballast in the quick tunes you add the exact kg lost with weight reduction...i.e. a car of 1300 kg after weight red 1 is 1200 kg;do you add 100 kg at +/- 50 to re-estabilish the original 1300 stock weight?if not what's the average percentage of ballast to add considering the weight?or which weight distribution do you want to obtain: ex 55:45 ff, 45:55 mr with ballast add?thanks in advance...sorry if my question is a bit stupid
I do not return the car to its beginning weight value. I do full weight reduction on almost all cars and add some back so that I can use it for ballast, if needed. Here are my ranges:
- Heavy cars need full weight reduction to get them between 1400 kg and 1450 kg
- I prefer average weight cars to be between 1200 kg and 1250 kg
- Lighter cars in stock form do not always need weight reductions, but 1000 kg seems to be the magic number
Then for ballast, I do not have a percentage in mind. I tend to try different settings until I get the rotation that I am looking for; example try 10 then 25 then 35 then 50.
