Motorcycles in GT6?

Man I really feel bad for the bike lovers who want bikes in GT. Its so boring seeing JUST cars in games by themselves nowadays, because they're always wanting to be "the realistic one with cars". If GT was worth to have bikes, no other game won't even be able to compare in the market, instead they'll try to do the same if fans dig it.

Its sooooo boring to have and see only cars in the game. Maybe some of you dislikers towards bike are just making up and using booooring excuses so nothing happens to your precious GT, which doesn't have any enough new and classic cars like the other game has anyways.

So why can't the bike lovers have what they want and not only caring about yourselves and this game being only about cars, which is mostly filled with *not gonna go there.* The reasons of not wanting bikes in GT are really laughable if I'm honest.

Actually it simply proves you have nothing to say, I posted because I did not want anyone thinking I said something so stupid. 👍

I have nothing to say at the moment, I was just sitting back waiting for someone to chime in with something interesting or insightful.

I meant no harm, I was just messing around. My apologies. I just figured somewhere deep inside you are really craving motorcycles.

PD has already made arguably the best car and the best bike sim on the playstation.becomes reality and the haters all are crying on each others shoulders about it.

Best bike sim on Playstation? Do you actually ride a motorcycle in real life?
Have you ever played SBK11?

Tourist Trophy was fun and had cool features. But it is far from a sim. All of the bikes in the game felt like 50cc machines in the first two gears. I could not get over the fact that I could pin it in first gear and get absolutely no where. Supermotos that don't wheelie in first?! The physics in the game were laughable.

SBK11 sounds and feels like the real experience.
And yes..I do ride. See my sig below.

Yeah I guess you could say I have ridden a bike before. But that's not really here nor there. Most people here haven't driven 600hp race cars around a track before, but they can still know if it feels right.

I played sbk09 and sbkx and were both total garbage. I skipped 11 because all the reviews seemed to suggest more of the same crap. SBK01 was the best, why can't they get to where they were 11 years ago as far as physics. I thought TT was very good as well. It was a great baseline to improve on and was tremendously fun to play, and challenging enough to keep me playing.

I know what you mean about SBK09, couldn't trail brake for **** in the game without low-siding. SBK11 is much improved in that dept.

TT was fun, I had a blast power-sliding thru corners. But I couldn't get over the feel of the the first two gears. Made the bike feel like a stock miata accelerating out of a corner. With more attention on Car vs bike on the internet. I think it would behoove Kaz to include bikes. Check out Audi capitalizing on their acquisition of Ducati in their promo vid for their participation in the Pikes Peak rally race.

Definitely, mjm23race, did not mean "sim" in the way that iRacing is a sim. We're not looking for the most realistic biking possible. Whatever GT6's physics engine is capable of is what we're expecting, plain and simple.

Ding ding!

I don't think that would help either  .
That my friend was a joke. Even though they used to do that in drag bike racing.

Even if it's cars ramming motorcycles, it's all the same. There's no reason to make a big deal out of it and to put in crazy restrictions just to keep a bunch of bad drivers under control. If people ram, kick them from the room. I highly doubt that the majority of people are going to turn into guided missiles upon seeing a bike.

There will be accidents too, but this is a game. There is no harm done if someone gets run over in virtual racing. Let players handle crashing on a case by case basis.

I wouldnt mind it .. just use the space you would use for b spec for motorcycle only events and then have car only events.. and only online will it be able to be cars vs bikes not offline.. it would be like having two games in one

i agree with this guy cause he is open minded 👍👍

In TT riders were already knocked off the bike when they crashed.

We can disable falling so when they just ram you go flying forward but then again gt dosent have good collision physics so they would have to fix that first

ZOMG... where's that double facepalm image??

I guess GTR is boring because it only features RACE cars.

And rFactor 2.

And iRacing, the Real Rental Simulator.

Oh please... this planet... save me from it...

Does this count as a motorcycle? Would GT fans be OK with this racing against cars?

Seriously? I didn't play neither of those games and won't ever. I don't play car games for realism, I play car games for the CARS and to have FUN. Race cars aren't my attention, its mostly road cars.

If you can't understand that, than why even bother replying to my comment? 👎

THIS, THIS. I've always wanted this car to be in GT. :D

There were always three possibilities I considered for motorcycles:

* a Tourist Trophy sequel
* motorcycles with cars
* no more Tourist Trophy

I'm thinking that GT6 could have cars AND motorcycles featured, because I don't think PD would really work on two different projects. It would be a shame to me because there just aren't as many motorcycle racing games out there today besides the MotoGP and World SBK games. You know, I actually wouldn't be surprised if both cars and motorcycles are featured in a Gran Turismo game.

One thing I would stress would be to better compliment both cars and motorcycles. Most of this pertains to certain configurations made for motorcycles. Think about certain tracks like Suzuka (just picked one track from the top of my mind), where you have the Grand Prix circuit and then that motorcycle configuration with the extra chicane. The motorcycle configurations of certain tracks can even be interesting challenges for cars. Some tracks were even mostly made for motorcycle racing, like Barber Motorsports Park here in America and Losail International Circuit in Qatar.

As for the motorcycles themselves, I'm sure a world of makers will be included. It's possible some more companies not featured in Tourist Trophy would be nice representatives. These would be companies like KTM, Moto Guzzi, Bimota, or any others like that. There may even be some oddball motorbikes like the Can-Am Spyder, the Peraves MonoTracer, Campagna T-Rex, and machines like that. Most of the newer bikes along with some classics may also fill the lineup of motorcycles for GT6 if more of them were included. I'd mostly be happy with various sport bikes, sport tourers, maybe some streetfighter bikes, and of course- a handful of road racing bikes. I also wouldn't mind seeing and racing dirt bikes, and also doing motocross and/or supermoto.

Motorcycles aren't likely to be in Gran Turismo 6, but I do think they COULD show up in GT6 should the game feature them.

That would fit in GT6 but not in TT2 (because it still basically drives and behaves like a car) and the only objection I have to including it is that's it absolutely hideous .
I'd much prefer something like the Morgan three-wheeler which I think would be a hoot to drive too, or the largely forgotten '86 Volkswagen Scooter concept.

Three-wheelers (with the exception of sidecar-bikes) mostly belong in GT I reckon, it only gets tricky with something like the Monotracer below.

Just no. Absolutely no. I don't want the car game ruined by stupid motorcycles. It's already ruined by bad implement rally.

Can you explain this? Sure; WRC, NASCAR, F1, Super GT, could all have been done better, but you think that having them not in the game at all is better than a flawed implementation? Especially when you can use online and arcade modes to replicate the real series?

Likewise, you think that motorcycles are not worth adding unless they are perfect? Why aren't trying to cut most of the content from GT? There are a lot of problems.

How would motorcycles ruin GT? It's even harder to fathom when there's a good chance that you could go through the game using one type of vehicle and ignoring the other.

It's better to be good at one thing then average at many, atm PD is barely average at one thing.

Not that they will implement cycles, but if they do there is a good chance you won't be able to ignore them and still complete the game.

If more motorcycles shown up in GT6, do you think there could be more contenders on the track? Compare four bikes to a track in Tourist Trophy compared to maybe 16 bikes to a track in GT6. I don't think that should be too hard unless you're trying to model the motorcycles and the riders to incredibly crazy amounts of detail.

Because, as usual, you want Gran Turismo to be a game made for YOU. This is unfortunately way too common around here with so many kids and random thinkers. Posters tend to fall into two camps:
  • Those who have suggestions for changes and improvements to Gran Turismo.
  • Those who will grab entire hunks of the game and fuss with them or toss them out at whim, essentially asking for a radically different game than the fans are used to.
You could argue that those of us wanting to have parts of the game or an entire section devoted to simulated racing leagues (sim racing) are doing the same thing. But Kaz himself speaks of wanting to encompass the entire automotive-motorsports world in his game when he has the tech and time to do it. And sims are doing just that in the league sense.

And in NO real world sense can I think of games like Need For Speed - which it sounds like what you really want.

Why don't you just play that, instead of asking for some "fun" arcadish Gran Turismo?

Bring on Bikes I am certainly up for it, but what would the damage mechanics be like for instance could the guy fall off the Bike.

The rider could fall off the bike in Tourist Trophy but in the same way as doing a rollover in GT5 you were almost immediately back as a 'ghost'.

Look, stop being a smart ass already. If you're just gonna think "FUN" is for only arcade racers and not for real racers like this one, than I'm NOT wasting anymore of my time arguing with someone who believes those who wants fun should leave Gran Turismo.

I'm not even trying to make GT into a NFS, nor am I wanting things to be my way as you put it. What I'm looking for in a game is racing your dream cars with the mixture of FUN and realism, such as this one and the other game. Why don't you do me a favor and back off already and DON'T waste my time again, you honestly don't see what I see.

Ignore list you go.
