1 lap quali is a different beast to normal laps isn't it. It's quite fun :)
It is and it isn't.

If you've practiced prior to quali you can take it easy and get the tyres bedded in on the outlap and as much fuel out of the car for that extra couple tenths.

If you don't do a few practice laps IN LOBBY you have to use the outlap as a full pace attack lap, otherwise you have no idea what grip you have under you and you don't maximise that one-shot.

Standings
JoeOfTheFire storms away in GT300 1st while points are generally close elsewhere. CrazyJohn looks to be edging out in similar fashion after todays dominant display in GT500 also.

Manufacturers
In GT500 Lexus jump to the top of the Manufacturers Championship. No change in GT300.

Scroll down for race results, see other tab for Manufacturers table.

We don't want Mr Orange Jacket to be giving out Moral Hazard Penalties do we?!
No  but people smashing their car up going over the line so everyone behind can't overtake in arguably the most intense part of the whole 45 min race without getting a penalty sucks.
I could just turn off flag rules instead, but blue flags are a nice little warning of passing GT500's and good for legit lapping cars. Plus yellow flags are a nice touch of realism.
The idea of penalties is to never enforce them. If I said, please don't do it, but if you do, meh. Some people (not necessarily anyone here, just in general) would just keep doing it. :banghead:

Sorry for double post.

Welp, 30kg of weight for the next one!

Edit (To refrain from a double-post)

Flag rules on helps, a lot! I wouldn't get rid of the flag rules because someone doesn't have a semblance of self restraint, and by all means penalise them for stupid stuff.

If it damages the integrity of the series, you nip it in the bud, or you give them one last chance and double the intensity of the penalty next time because you've had your lenience abused.

It's a fine line, I know... and my harshness is down to having two close friends actively refuse to buy any other installments due to a community run series being too lenient.

The Porsche feels very Porsche, even on the straights. Is it Porsche enough, maybe
It's better than feeling very boaty! Not sure I'll be able to get a good result this round so I've got to stay consistent and think of the overall points.

Made a setup when we ran Catalunya for a bit and accidentally hit a sweet spot, so I copied that setup for this round and made some slight tweaks, very happy. Slow but happy.

@GTWelsh If needed, I have a friend (Aweoob) who can come in the GT500 class, In term of overall pace, he's about 2nd split of FIA. But if you already have someone else, give him the spot ;)

Sounds good mate, if you could give him a shout for me that would be great :)

Would he run for armoredcore12s points (which means running ballast, livery ignored due to short notice) or as an individual?

He can run whatever you think is the best/most simple for your championship. Replacement or Individual is your choice ;)

Sadly as I mentioned to @GTWelsh on PSN I am unavailable as a reserve for the race on the 11th Dec.

However, I'm available next week and after the 11th.

Good race, shame I messed up quali and got a little damage from lag, but it was a much closer finish than last week. CJ definitely has taken well to GR.2s as his main forté. Good win!

Quick car joke:

A penguin is driving along the highway when, suddenly his engine starts running rough and he sees smoke in his rear view mirror. He pulls off the highway and finds the nearest service station, and pulls up to the garage with the car shaking and sputtering. He tells the mechanic what happened, and the mechanic says "OK, give me 10 minutes to check it out."

Meanwhile, the penguin sees an ice cream shop across the street. Thinking this is a perfect time for a tasty treat, he heads over and gets himself an ice cream cone.

After he finishes, he walks back over to the garage, and asks the mechanic "So, did you find out what's wrong?"

The mechanic looks at the penguin and says "It looks like you blew a seal."

The penguin quickly wipes his face and says "Oh, no, that's just the ice cream."
