Loved the microwave but even better the beers, that was fun...

This just keeps getting better...
Can we see an image of the switches in the dark please?

Always difficult to take a good picture in the dark with a simple camera:

Videos are set to private mate :-(

Thanks Mark 👍 Should be fixed now.

I already wondered why it didn't show up on my ipad :)Lol :)

I finished the "removable button box" this weekend. I started from scratch and added an extra row of buttons. I also created a solid quick mounting solution. It only takes about 15 seconds to switch between the button box and ipad.

All i need now is the DSD32 board.

The grafics card is gonna be replaced by Mrlatte's "old" 7970.
This should me some extra power for the new upcomming pc racing games.

Mr Latte has done rather well the past week with his Sale, thanks to you and Mr Carson.

Love seeing your little updates and tweeks...

Didn't even know you had a sale. :dunce:
Well, not before Henk told me you sold him your graphics card.

Still waiting on the Titan impressions. ;)

Just fitted the Titan today mate...

Yeah is pricey as expected with being new but sure is a nice well built card though. Hope it has a good future ahead of it with upcoming drivers improving it further. I like that it runs quiet too but we know it isn't amazingly faster in general when looking at the all-round picture compared to alternatives.

Came across this, just shows still how good the 7970 is.
Where it really will shine though is with the triple 1080p (5760) projection I want to use.

Henk got a bargin me thinks, lol.

I think Henk did indeed. Lucky guy. :)

Still, even though FPS wise it's close to the 7990 and twice as fast as the 7970, the frame times are much more stable throughout the gameplay. Resulting in much smoother images with no stutters due to spikes as a single frame takes too long to render/calculate.
In fact what I heard from the Hardware.Info (dutch site) reviewers was that even though the Titan was significantly slower in terms of FPS than the GTX690 (avg. of 20 FPS difference), the image seemed much smoother. That combined with the fact that it runs cooler than the GTX690 and uses less energie as well.

Now add something like this to it and the performance of the card will further increase as the Boost 2.0 is dependent on the heat production of the GPU.
So if you can keep it cooler, the card will continue to increase the clockspeeds and so on via boost 2.0 until it reaches a pre-set maximum of course.

Too bad most reviews only cover racing games like Dirt3 or F1 2012 @ 5760x1080.

In almost all racing games in my HD6970 still performs excelllent at those high resolutions. Don't really care about the single screen performance, because it's usually more than enough.

I still love my current HD6970. :D

I bought this card about 2 years ago when the water of a leaking cpu cooler fried my HD4870x2. I bought it for single screen use only and tried triple screen just for fun.

Than i immediately was hooked and now 2 years later, i'm still amazed by it's triple screen performance. Almost EVERYTHING on my rig has changed, but i'm still running that same videocard. I never had a video card that performed so well beyond my expectations. It will be a memorable moment when i'll take out of my PC. :) LOL

I wanted to wait for the new HD 8000 series, but i'm happy to support the funding of Project R and enjoy the increased frame rates :)

Today i replaced my HD6970 with the XFX HD 7970 DD Ghost (thx Rodney 👍)

I was also very lucky to sell my videocard within 2 hours after putting it up for sale :D

Here's a small video about switching between the button box and ipad in the dashboard:

Maybe an improvement would be making a box which it slides into, with the screw to tighten it down being used to press it against the front of the dash.

Nice job though, Henk. :)
That button box looks really nice.

Great you got the card, isn't it a beauty too.
As for your little video hey I'm lovin that multifunctionality!

One day we will have to discuss those speakers though... :sly:

Love the GFX card, still love the Z5500 too.:sly:

I have never been able to really crank up the Z5500 to it's max really, without the wife shouting to me to turn it down. :D

Even with two sound isolating plates, which i can place in front of the door, the Z5500 has more power than i will ever be able to use.

I was feeling like a kid in a candy store this morning:

The loud clicking noise is from the shifters. Because the rest of the family was still sleeping the actual volume of the game kind of low for making a video, so i amplified it a bit.

Watching this video myself made me realize: Maybe a need a shifter :D

Yeah, I know how you feel. I only once turned up my Z560 to 3/4 of the volume when my neighbour was here, and he said this (freely translated) "holy crap! That's not normal anymore. Your balls are being slapped against your ass... Crazy!". Or something along those lines. lmao

So yeah, don't see the point in upgrading either for myself in that department. If I do upgrade I wouldn't even consider car audio components, but would move more towards studio monitors with the correct soundcard of course.

Nice driving in the video though. Dodged some accidents left and right too.
I hope they will fix the AI at some point as it is pretty horrible currently. I feel like they do not even take notice of you at the moment.

About the shifter the big question is, what shifter wil you go for? Well that would normally be, but I reckon you will simply go for a CSS to have a matching set. ;)

Great video, superb sense of speed.
I see a CSS in my crystal ball going your direction in the future somehow, lol.

As for the Logitech, nah can't be havin that, loud does not mean good.
Just teasing I know those are decent wee sets but well such a nice setup goes beyond average so one day I might convince you to take the quality of audio a step further.

Can only keep dropping hints lads, grrrrrrr (give over Latte)

*grumbles* can't watch it on the iPad, not available for mobile devices it says. Darn copyrights. Will watch it later.

I was just having some fun with adobe premiere 11. Great programm 👍

I decided to put in some music, which automatically disables playback on portable devices and disables playback in germany.

Henk, that's one hell of a video.
I do start to feel a bit envious about those triples.
That lift stays awesome as well. Though I do not wish to touch my furniture as it has strong mental value as it is the last gift of my deceased grandfather to me that he made with his own blood, sweat and tears (grandma said he struggled with it whilst probably fighting minor stroke attacks). So yeah, that piece of furniture has a lot more worth than installing a lift. Besides, as long as I can stand on it with my full weight, I won't be replacing it either. ;)

Anyway, awesome rig... and I get to try it. *feels like a kid that's going to a toyshop* LOL
Maybe I should write some impressions here of your rig, Henk. Just for fun if you want me to. :)

Thanks Guys, :)

Looking forward to your visit Christiaan

MauroAC, the 46" TV are stored on the side under the desk. It takes less then 10 minutes to set everything up.

This is one of my all time favourite rigs. It has it all, clean crisp design, clever well built and thought out use of space. Even the home made button boxes are finished to such a high standard that it would make you want them for your own rig. The humour of the video clips is great, I love seeing the transformation from office to racing rig!
Great job and it's great for other's to see what can be accomplished with such little space.

Echo that! 👍 👍
You did a fantastic job dual-purposing your office space!
I have no doubt you wracked your brains to come up with what you did.
It paid off, you have one of the best-designed and cleanest DIYs I have seen.

Can't wait to hear about Logi's visit!
