If the hint refers to the whole pack, racing semi trucks are a possibility, could be a lot of fun.

Forza 5 did list "Racing Trucks" as a body style for online racing...

I want to say that Pro Stock cars would be featured in a track expansion with a detailed career and expanded drag racing mode (at least I hope so).... DTM cars aren't on Xbone at the moment but they aren't new to Forza as a whole.

So a funny car or top fuel dragster and a racing truck?

As reasonable as the hot wheel cars lol.

They would have to add 11 to acceleration for the funny car or dragster though.

Pro Stock. ;) As in...

Or maybe 2016's fuel-injected engines, without the carbs and hood scoop...

Well, there go my hopes of ever seeing hot air balloons in Forza, since they were in Horizon. So mad right now!

But really, I'm excited to see what they have for us.

More reasonable than made up fantasy cars with no relation to current or past technologies and stats/performance pulled out of thin air...

I was more referring to the fact that the idea of a top fuel dragster on the Nurburgring for example...

Don't they have like over 2000hp and enough gas to last 15 seconds?

More like 8000hp+ and roughly a minute. :P The engine barely lasts more than that anyway.

But yeah, I see what you mean, a bit like the HKS 180SX back in GT2 that was lightning quick until you hit a corner.

According to latest observations Top Fuel cars are around 10,000 horsepower these days, roughly double where they were when they first broke 300mph in the 1/4 mile.

Such brutal real life power, I am glad PD never put then in a game though.

With the GT6 wind resistance you would break 600 mph in the 1/4 while listening to a sorta V8/I6 burble/murmer noise...

Sorry about that, yes bring on the Dragsters.

If it's drag cars, then how about Red Victor?

Or Larry Larson's Chevy S10?

But do those things turn around? T10 seems to be quite against the idea of introducing cars that are confined to only certain tracks or gamemodes. Sure, generally speaking a car built for 1/4 miles won't do swimmingly well in a lap around the Nordschleife, but I doubt we'll ever see a car that is physically incapable of giving it a shot.

Yea we would need about 20 pit areas by my calculations... Maybe less if you can manage momentum well lol. Plus you would need to change engine and other parts several times... Overall it would rival the ring times they got in GT4 with the Patent Motor Carriage...

The carrousel would be rough but theoretically surmountable from observing these cars manuever irl at the Southern Nationals.

Realistically they would be imbedded in the Armco at first left hander.

Oh well it was a fun idea anyway.

A portion of the player base seems against the idea of tuning a car that can handle turn one of any track. This would be right up their alley.

I do wonder about the three-wheelers. Dan mentioned they had to massage the physics engine to play nice with such short wheel bases and only three contact patches. I imagine including them in FM6 would require a similar rethink of its engine, so we should expect a content update if they're coming along.

It's about the only thing I can see that's entirely new to the franchise while also still being appropriate to the Motorsport title: the buggy or Ariel Nomad, while awesome, just don't seem like as great a match.

Personally, I'm still holding out hope for the i8. It's frustrating how elusive that car is in modern games. So long as the pack has that and/or some more IMSA goodness, I'd be willing to shell out some cash.

Oh, and if they want to bring back any of the numerous cars that were last seen in FM5, as a sort of goodwill move for the fanbase, that'd be super too. I miss the other low-powered open-wheelers.

That ****ing i8. Why is it so elusive?

I want to walk around that thing so bad... I don't think I've seen it any game yet?

I wonder why BMW is, assumingly, so tight with the liscencing of it?

I think someone in another thread discovered it would be the Bondurant pack (like with FM6), and that Bondurant has switched over to Mopar cars now. If that's the case, I agree with the member who predicts that the ACR will likely show up in the pack. But, that's about the only car I can make a guess on right now.

IIRC, hints tend to come around the time of the WIR, no? We've got some hours, then.

July Car Pack
On Tuesday, July 12, look for the next car pack for Forza Motorsport 6. Last week, I teased that this pack will feature something that fans have never driven before in a Forza game. While I usually leave the clue threads to Johniwanna, I thought I’d offer a few more hints about some of the cars coming in Tuesday’s pack. So, here goes:

HINT #1: This cat is the David to the factory works Goliath teams.

HINT #2: It may seem Stars & Stripes, but this racer is a truly global effort.

HINT #3: Germany’s take on an Italian oddity.

Hint #2 is likely the Ford #6 Gulf Oil/John Wyers Automotive Engineering GT40 '69 (Ford GT40 Mk. I Race Car '69).

Considering the car used to both destroy Ferrari four years in a row (after the fact that Ferrari refused to be purchased by Ford) and win Le Mans at the same time from '66 to '69 straight is a Ford GT40 (which is obviously an American car, hence the "stars and stripes") and the fact that it's a global racing icon would really make sense. This should accompany its descendant from roughly 50 years later, only that it's the #66 GT Le Mans (as opposed to the #68 GT Le Mans that won its class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans earlier this year).

For some reason #2 and #3 strike me as something obvious that I'm missing... Factory works means **** like the M division and such? I'm assuming it's not BMW, Audi or Mercedes...

Hmmm... Could be the ACR?

Please let #2 NOT be the Deltawing. #1 might be a Jaguar of some sort, because cat, but I'm struggling to see which one. The Emil Frey XKR in the Blancpain series would make sense, but it doesn't go against factory works teams.

#3 I have no idea.

The global bit also applies in the sense that the mk1 was built by Lola.

I'm going to say #1 might be either a Jaguar or Peugeot of sorts, but it's hard to say which one...
The Deltawing for #2 would make sense, given it's patriotic livery. It'd be cool to see the DW in Forza.
#3 could be a Wiesmann? I'm baffled on that clue.

What Italian car companies have been bought out by German ones?

Not gonna lie, my knowledge of Italian car companies is pretty small Lamborghini, Ferrari, Lancia (?), Alfa Romero, Fiat and Abarth.

Yes Lancia is correct, though I think they are owned by Fiat-Chrysler now.

Didn't they say something along the lines of "you've never driven in a Forza game"....

Is it too far-fetched to think Forza may one day introduce sport and racing bikes in the game? Especially with their physics engine and sound capture methods.... oh the sheer pleasure of tearing down the Ring in a CBR1000 RR.....
