"If it had shine to it how do you know for sure?"
"Binoculars"

Rusty saying it as it is .

True, true. But you also have to remember NASCAR has to make split-second decisions. They can't wait too long before throwing out a caution.

By the way, I've seen bits and pieces of sheet metal come off a car, both in dirtrack racing near where I live and in NASCAR, and both looked like paper sometimes. Fiberglass, especially, can look like paper on the track. Not sure if NASCAR allows fiberglass, though.

Gordon is in the lead :D:tup:, but looks who is behind him. 👎:grumpy:

The decklids are fiberglass, I only know this from watching the 2006 Bristol Spring Race

Gordon really needs a new pit crew. I'm serious about that.

EDIT: rap129 must be happy right now.

"Boring" can describe nearly every NASCAR race nowadays. The only interesting thing in this race is how close the wild card drivers are to each other.

Ain't over till it's over.
Big restart coming up. Nothing like watching a bunch of pretty cars on a racetrack. ;)

Yeah, restarts. Very enjoyable to see Jeff Gordon fall back and Kyle Busch jump to the lead, never to be seen again.[/sarcasm]

I thought Edwards couldn't catch a break, how 'bout my fantasy picks?

I see what you did there...

Can Edwards catch a break?

We know he's having problems, don't feel bad for him son. He's now a Jay-Z refference and a very good one.

(anyone familiar with that song and Carl's number will get this joke)

I got 99 problems but a...... ain't one?

You are not allowed to cheer the 24. :dopey:.
Go cheer the 18 👍.

 It doesn't work that way.

Truex has this race in the bag. He's way too fast for Gordon to catch up to. Unless Truex loses a tire or has a mechanical issue, or a caution comes out, or runs out of gas, he wins. Even if a caution comes out, either everyone or nobody will pit in and Gordon would be a sitting duck.

Well, most of those possibilities actually make it better for Gordon.

EDIT: Caution - Jamie Mac's Chevy gets shredded.

^Yes, it means that Hamlin has the best chance to win. Gordon 2nd best, Truex 3rd best.

How a boring race can turn into an exciting one.

EDIT: Who expected that?

Gordon went too high, but good chase. Could have been a closer finish - but nice bit of excitement at the end there.

Jeff should have went into turn 3 right behind him and tried to loosen him up. Afraid that was probably his last chance to keep his Chase hopes alive...
