RACECAR*facepalm* are you kidding me, Penske? Really?
I like Logano because he lives in Connecticut.
He's not amazing, but he's still decent.
I like Logano too, but I think this is a bad idea. Why couldn't he just go back to the Nationwide Series and just start over from there?
He's too dominant in the Nationwide, and it would be bad for that series, and perhaps the sport as a whole. Plus, he won at Pocono legitimately, and who knows what lies ahead in his future with Penske Racing?
RACECARAnd the other Cup drivers aren't? While I know he won that race legitimately, competitive runs like that are unfortunately not happening enough and haven't happened enough in the last four years. I love to think he may have a bright future, but he's had too much of a hazy run in Cup to really establish himself competitive in Cup and then theirs the fact that just like Hornish, he was brought into Cup too soon.
Danica *cough*.
GTPorschePenske wanted a driver that would be around for a long-term.
Logano fits that perfectly, but then again, so would Trevor Bayne.

One last chance. One last chance to make the Chase this weekend. That last chance comes at Richmond this weekend. Unless there's nothing to play for this weekend and unless there's nothing else to really gain/lose this weekend, Richmond is that last chance to get into the 2012 Chase for the Cup.
Best of luck to all NASCAR contenders this weekend in all divisions of NASCAR.
Good Grief. All that progress Sam Hornish makes and he gets slapped in the face with this. Ok I relize he hasn't won a cup race but at least he has gotten to point where unlike Joey, he has had consistancy. Wonderful job Roger, and I thought Roush was abit of douche 👎
Right now SHR has one seat open since Newman is not signed yet.At this point, what major team has an open seat?

Somebody asked the question somewhere else if Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch would make the HoF. I said maybe to Kyle and no to Denny. Thoughts?
Unfortunately in today's world, guaranteed $$$$$ is the only thing that matters to team owners instead of real driving talent. 👎 For example, Danica has shown steady improvement since joining stock cars, but she's still at least 3 years from being truly ready to run full time in the Sprint Cup series.
Yes to both, as bad as it sounds to say yes to Kyle.

My no argument comes from how criteria are based. If you are following ESPN's route and counting their lower series wins then its a no brainer, but you run into problems where Ron Hornaday could conceivably make the HoF over Bill Elliott (more wins and titles but none in the Cup Series). It depends how NASCAR is actually evaluating these stats. Evans NEVER attempted a Cup race so he never "went back to race" in the lower series as he never left Modified.
Personally, I think that there should be a Hall of Fame for each different NASCAR series. NASCAR is putting all of their eggs in one basket by having a whole stew of drivers from different NASCAR series in one Hall of Fame.
How could Hornaday be in the Hall of Fame, and Bill Elliott not? Elliott was (and if given good equipment, still is) one of the greatest NASCAR drivers of all time. Meanwhile, while Hornaday may have a lot of wins and championships, he has had no success in the Cup series.
