I honestly don't think that being on the pole is a good thing. Sure, you do get the best pit box and clean air, but you are little than a sitting duck to the guys behind you.

EDIT: I honestly didn't expect Johanna Long to be so far ahead. That proves how good that she can drive.

EDIT #2: Her suspension got damaged somehow. Shame since she was running really good.

At the start of the race, jeff will have the wild card position by 3 points. Tomorrow's race will feel like a championship battle at Homestead. lol

After seeing practice and qualifying, I think that Jeff has a better chance of winning than most of us thought.

Just imagine the chaos if Danica Patrick, John Wes Townley, and Steven Wallace were ever in the same race..... :scared:

And, let's assume Pierguiseppe Perrazini takes up NASCAR in this hypothetical situation to ensure maximum destruction.

Can we add the entire ARCA series to this maximum destruction hypothetical situation?

Edit: And there goes the second championship contender of the night.

Edit2: Marty Reid. :ouch:

Anyone notice that Harvick threw a water bottle on the track?

Wallace saved a loose race car twice and took home a top ten finish! That kid has talent!

Yep, the universe might just explode now.

I hope the race winner tonight will be the winner tomorrow :) even better when your actually their

Yep, the universe might just explode now.

Hopefully he lands a ride or more races next year since we know Brian Scott won't be back.

Kevin is such a pansy it's not even funny and I've never been a fan at all.

And Danica crashes again. Her season has been laughable!

I'm sorta looking forward to seeing her "disappoint badly" in SC, when really it's all clear at the moment that she's not even top 25 material.

Hey NASCAR fans!
I'm an intrigued brit looking to get into some NASCAR action.
I've seen some exciting stuff on the internet and I think I'll be more interested if I "got into it" more.
I had a quick look on the NASCAR website and there's apparently a couple of different series under the NASCAR umbrella...
So basically I want some GTP direction into how you think I could get into it :)

Sprint Cup is the premier series, where the top level drivers and teams operate. Some Cup drivers participate in the Nationwide series as well, which is meant to be a feeder series (comparable to GP2). The races are a bit shorter and the cars are a bit slower, but it's still pretty entertaining to watch. There is a third-tier class, the Camping World Truck Series, where really young talent and some ex-Cup drivers mix it up. The racing here is generally more "contact-oriented", if that's your thing. If there's anything more you'd like to know, just ask. 👍

Ahhh okay cheers! Makes sense.
Yeah I do like the contact part :P One last thing, best place to see highlights of races? (Probably wont be watching live, moving to university and wont have a TV license so not sure how that stuff works watching potentially US TV or whatever )
Thanks!

Good luck to all drivers and teams tonight at Richmond. Last chance to make the Chase for the Cup for those who still have faint hopes of making this year's Chase.
