Actually, I believe that car had more downforce. It was smaller, sharper, and really pinned to the ground. Punched a smaller hole in the air, so aero push wasn't as big of an issue. But it had a bit less horsepower than the COT.

It was also far more aero-sensitive so any sort of cosmetic damage easily hampered it. Could've sworn it had just as much power and the only reason they got the horsepower lowered was that in testing it was by far faster then the COT and the tapered spacers were put on for the Nationwide series.

I dread the day Atlanta gets repaved. Best intermediate track on the schedule, hands down. Texas is probably 2nd best, but it's surface is just as old as Atlanta's, so it's repave date likely won't be far behind.

Will be going to TMS in October so I'm gonna get to see the racing up close. Will definately not be the same if they both get repaved:indiff:

Are you F'ing kidding me! Harvick has lapped everyone up to 6th! Why I hate that Sprint Cup drivers are allowed to race in the Nationwide Series.

Its more the cars that have hurt Superspeedway racing then the track.

But I thought the Two car tandem style racing was a result of the repave?

You of all people should be happy about that

Really, it didn't start having the tandem style racing until the COTs and there Lined up bumpers showed up. With the old cars, you couldn't really push in the corners even on the repaved Talladega. With the COTs however, that started happening and after Daytonas repaving, thats when it really went full effect.

It was a combination, Talladega and Daytona were too bumpy for even the COT's to hook up until they repaved them.

What in the world happened to Harvick? Either his car suddenly turned south or Stenhouse had a brilliant last two laps, with an assist from Brad.

Remember though that Talladega Got repaved in 2005 (or was it 2006?), when the old cars were still racing. It was only Daytona that was too bumpy at that point for the COTs until the repave.

Yet again Brad not going to admit what he did. NASCAR threw that caution for the bottle and everyone knows it

Who throws cautions for water bottles? How can something like that damage a car?

So, as always, blame NASCAR..

Yeah, but if they had the COT's back in 2005, the track was repaved between the two races in 2006 BTW, they wouldn't have hooked up at Talladega.

I hate to say it but I think I've lost massive respect for Keselowski! Gotta see the replay again.

How did a shoe damage Danica's car?

At high speeds, the smallest thing could cause damage.

Guys, NASCAR said it themselves earlier, the debris was in turn 1, the water bottle was on the front stretch

Glad to see a regular win instead of another Buschwhacker! Even if it is Stenhouse.

Suck it, Harvick.

^Disgusting. :ill:

Already getting ready for the race. I have NASCAR Performance on TV right now, and I'll be watching SPEED Center and NASCAR Raceday.

I can't watch all the pre-race crap. I tune in when the green flag flies.
