Can't believe he actually managed it it. I'm not a #24 fan but it was a great job to pull that off when people have been putting him down all year. Nice work Jeff đź‘Ť

And everybody hates Busch so it's a win-win!

I'm not surprised. Gordon and the #24 team seem to handle pressure better than Busch and the #18 team.

Next week starts The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Chicagoland Speedway. Good luck to all 12 drivers that are competing for the championship.

I'll be there for both Nationwide and Cup, looking forward to it. đź‘Ť

Given that he's the "regular season" points leader, it does seem a little unfair that Biffle's championship chances aren't really getting played up by the media.

Unfair, but not surprising...he doesn't drive for Hendrick$ Motor$port$.

That comeback by Jeff Gordon and the #24 team was one of the best I've ever seen! đź‘Ť It seems the racing gods are still making Kyle "Crybaby" Busch pay for the stunt he pulled on Ron Hornaday last year. Also, kudos to NASCAR for not throwing a "debris" caution for once to manipulate the outcome of the race! đź‘Ť

There was too much on the line to pull a "debris" caution.

NASCAR has an obsession with Green-White-Checker restarts. I know they wanted to have one last night but they didn't since there was too much risk.

Sorry this is off topic, but last night I was at the race and there was little orange banner things all over the track. One was hanging off the back of Kyle Bush's car, anyone know what those orange things were?

I just saw the SPEED Center highlights. I actually saw on Facebook last night about Jeff Gordon finishing second to make the Chase. I'm proud for Jeff Gordon to make the Chase. I only hope this will help him to MAYBE make that push for his fifth Cup championship. Man- if the #24 wins the Cup championship, imagine being the team owner of TWO 5-time NASCAR Cup champions! You'd be like the New York Yankees of NASCAR.

That's all. Chase time! Bring on the Chase for the Cup!

I hope that happens. How fitting would it be for Gordon to win his 5th Championship in his 20 year anniversary with Dupont?!

And possibly the last year with them depending on how the new company does with sponsorship deals.

I know I can't be only one who thinks Harvick will whine if RCR hires Kurt. I know it's not set in stone and still alot of what if's but I think Kurt would have a big impact there as far as getting those teams back up to something like MWR is this year. He is a team player unlike Harvick is if you ask me and much of a leader. Another forum this was brought up and who would sponsor him, and first one that came to mind was Bud. I honestly think it doesn't fit Harvick well, and he has Rheem/JimmyJohns.

RCR won't take sponsorship from another driver in his team to put it on Kurt Busch.

No one is going to sign Kurt for next year after what he's done this year for a low budget team.

10 races. 12 worthy (or maybe even lucky) drivers. 1 champion. Here's the Chase schedule:

9/16 - Chicagoland
9/23 - New Hampshire
9/30 - Dover
10/7 - Talladega
10/13 - Charlotte
10/21 - Kansas
10/28 - Martinsville
11/4 - Texas
11/11 - Phoenix
11/18 - Homestead

Good luck to all the Chase drivers and congratulations to whomever wins the Cup championship for 2012.

Here's the Chase schedule:

9/16 - Chicagoland Boring
9/23 - New Hampshire Boring
9/30 - Dover
10/7 - Talladega Boring
10/13 - Charlotte
10/21 - Kansas Boring
10/28 - Martinsville
11/4 - Texas
11/11 - Phoenix
11/18 - Homestead Boring

^^^^ That's what I think.

They definitely need more variety in the Chase. Chicagoland? Sure, then you don't need Kansas. In fact, replace them both with Vegas. Charlotte? Sure, then you don't need Texas. Keep Phoenix, ditch New Hampshire.

My ideal schedule:

9/16 - Charlotte
9/23 - Bristol
9/30 - Watkins Glen
10/7 - Talladega
10/13 - Darlington
10/21 - Martinsville
10/28 - Dover
11/4 - Sonoma
11/11 - Phoenix
11/18 - Las Vegas

I heard a rumour that he was heading to Furniture Row to be Regan Smith's teammate in a second car.

I'm certain he'll be driving for his brother in Nationwide.

I somewhat agree with you, Harvick is not a team leader at all. Yeah he would whine if Kurt was to join RCR, at least Kurt would do better than Menard and Burton. I think Bud fits Harvick fine but what would I know about beer? I'm 8 years under the legal age to drink lol

Racehub announced today that Finch is not sure if his race team will be around for next season, do to lack of sponsorship and 2013 cars. If this happens Kurt is screwed for next season.

That was announced a week ago.

Furniture Row announced weeks ago that they were no longer looking at expanding to a second team. Their second team expansion was completely dependent on Dodge giving them factory support.

They need to drop Jeff Burton, so there won't be the need for a 4th car. Jeff lost his ability to stay with the lead pack years ago. So father time says let him go off to pastures of drivers who have nothing left to offer, but being a good guy and put Kurt in the #31. In my opinion Burton should consider ownership after he retires.

If a company like CAT wanted to sponsor Kurt Busch, a company like CAT would have sponsored Phoenix Racing, which btw, had a sponsor until this year.

oh well it's still unfortunate for Kurt, I hope he gets a nice ride at furniture Row.

Hell to the no.

Good. Don't want him there anyway.

You'd be surprised at who would want Kurt, and RCR is really looking hard at him. You put any other driver in that same car, and I wouldn't be surprised if results weren't about the same. Yea I'm sure a few races it would be closer to the front or not wrecked.
