One last month to make that championship push. Can the current leaders hold serve, or will those trailing make that push to win the championship? We shall see!

It's a family reunion! The final three races all feature all three series racing the same weekend. Up next for all three series... NASCAR races here in my home state of Texas. Texas is up next for Trucks, Nationwide, and Cup. Then after that, it's Phoenix and Homestead. But native Texans, resident Texans... NASCAR is about to rock the Dallas-Fort Worth area one last time this year and this season. NASCAR about to rock RACECAR's part of Texas.

So... Bring on my home/native state- Texas!

Nationwide: Stenhouse is great at 1.5 milers. They have to of those coming up. But, Elliot sadler is the defending winner of Phoenix, so it's going to come down to who can run the most consistant with a fast race car provided by the teams.

Remember when Danica Patrick at the start of the season said she'll contend for the Nationwide Title. Lol.

I feel sorry for Danica.

Least she gets to rock a Sonic car next race. 👍

It is pretty unlikely Danica Patrick will compete for the Cup Championship next season. As much as I love Danica, she'll have to really adjust in a hurry to contend among the Cup regulars next season the way she's being brought up. Nationwide to Cup is like going from minor league Triple-A baseball straight into the major league. That's unless you're trying to show that one season of Nationwide will prepare you for all the rigors of Cup. To Danica's credit, she has some Cup starts. I just think she needs a lot more to be a contender and a consistent contender.

I posted the championship standings in all three of NASCAR's top series. I have no predictions as to who will win the title in each series.

Ok, I just saw the entry list and I had to double take at two of them. Sandra Turner owns the 43 car? Morgan Shepard owns the 3 car? When did this happen?

Top 35 rule weirdness in effect.

All I'm going to say is that if Jimmie Johnson finishes in the runner-up spot this year, next year is going to be a living hell for him.

I suppose this is the first time in a while that next year's Rookie of the Year title has already been decided unless someone new enters the series with a late notice.

I know this isn't a 2013 thread, but i can't start my own so i am going to put my championship predictions for this and next year up.

Cup: 2012- Brad Keselowski 2013- Clint Bowyer
Nationwide: 2012-Elliot Sadler 2013- Either Regan Smith or Austin Dillon
Trucks: 2012- James Buscher 2013-Ty Dillon

I'm pretty sure next year will be hotly contested.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Danica Patrick. :ill:

NASCAR doesn't approve Nur Ali to race at Texas

The Associated Press – 17 hours ago

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Nur Ali was not approved by NASCAR to run the Nationwide Series race this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.
Ali struggled in his Oct. 20 NASCAR debut at Kansas, where he crashed and finished 33rd in the Nationwide race. He is the first driver of Pakistani descent to compete at NASCAR's national level.
The Fort Worth resident had hoped to drive for Rick Ware Racing in Saturday's race at Texas. But he said NASCAR wants him to gain more experience on smaller tracks before he'll be approved to compete at 1.5-mile Texas.
Ali said he'll enter the Nov. 10 race at Phoenix, which is a 1-mile track.

I agree, the 2013 car will be his downfall and it should eliminate any advantages Hendrick has over the competition. If Keselowski wins the championship this year, then Johnson's era of dominance is officially OVER.

I'm sure he understands that NASCAR doesn't want him being on such a fast track and being at risk of crashing during the race.

Nascar was going to show off some of the 2013 paint schemes today but they said that they'll reveal them at a later date according to their Facebook page. Sorry yall.

Then why do they give Townley/Wallace licenses! I kid I kid

I hope Clint can make up a good bit of points and make this a 3 man race. If he does pull upset, I will be amazed but he might gain a fan overall.

The "Earnhardt" in Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing just because even more meaningless.
Earnhardt Ganassi switching to Hendrick engines: The "Earnhardt" in Earnhardt-Childress Racing won't use the company's engines beginning in 2013. Earnhardt Ganassi Racing will use motors leased from Hendrick Motorsports starting next season, a team representative told reporters at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday. The move is surprising considering ECR was formed as a joint engine-building effort between Earnhardt Ganassi and Richard Childress Racing. EGR has struggled over the last two seasons with drivers #42-Juan Pablo Montoya and #1-Jamie McMurray, and team owner Chip Ganassi apparently felt a change was necessary in the engine program. RCR team owner Richard Childress said he wasn't surprised by Ganassi's decision to pull out of ECR and said he's been aware of the possibility for quite some time. Childress said his team will have "a couple" new customers next season - though he wouldn't say who - and also has an existing sponsor in Furniture Row Racing. ECR will retain its name because the teams "have a different relationship with the engines," Childress said.

I wish Ganassi would just remove the "Earnhardt" in the name already since it pretty much means nothing now.

Also, some more 2013 schemes, I can't get over how awesome the Fords look.👍

I like the paint schemes that Ambrose and Edwards have. Very nice. 👍

EDIT: Oh great, look who's sitting on the pole... 👎

I was gonna joke about how it actually has alittle more meaning now because of who drives for Hendrick, but nevermind that.

I'm still confused about that myself, especially since the other "Owner" has little to no interest in it and clearly wants no part of racing.

Hello, doomsday

Didn't even think of that.

I thought it was because of the Earnhardt-Childress Engines deal, but apparently it just Chip using the name to attract sponsors. Although I guess I can't blame him for that seeing how there aren't many things about that team that would attract a sponsor.
