I'm still confused about that myself, especially since the other "Owner" has little to no interest in it and clearly wants no part of racing.

Well I guess that goes to show you that you can't win without Hendrick power. I bet Dale Senior is rolling in his grave right now!

EDIT: Does he Chip really think that Juan and Jamie will do any better with Hendrick power???

I'm surprised Roush is sticking with the 17 instead of switching to 6 for Stenhouse next year.

I was reffering to the fact that EGR still has the Earnhardt name even basically, no one named Earnhardt is even at the helm.

They probably will, or at least they won't be able to blame their lack of performance on sub-par engines. Anything Cup related with Childress attached to it has been insanely inconsistent for some time.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone named Ganassi is at the helm, I don't get how Penske can divide his focus between programs but Ganassi can't.

My guess is that Teresa Earnhardt is still half-owner of the company for income purposes only, even if Chip Ganassi and Felix Sabates have complete autonomy over the day-to-day operations of the race teams. She's never going to just walk away from half of the profits. Ever.

I think we all would have preferred him in #6 car.

Well ECR needs to step up their game, their performance in 2010 was masterful to say the least. Funny how it took a nosedive after that. Childress said that ECR will have new "customers" next year, I wonder who that might be?

Danica is doing good. Be a shame if something bad happened to her... :mischievous:

Just kidding, not trying to jinx her.

Well, Penske Only has two programs while Ganassi has three so maybe its smart that Penske just focused on Indycar and NASCAR.

And Stenhouse retakes the points lead, and Austin Dillon is pissed at Denny Hamlin for some reason.

Actually, They are tied because Sadler went back by Whitt on the last lap.

As for the Hamlin/Dillon incident, On the cool down lap it looks like Austin just ran right into him and the shoving match began. I wouldn't be surprised if Dillon was driving like a moron though, Bristol showed me he can go way over his head.

I missed the end of the NNS race. What was hamlin whining about?

Supposedly, Dillon was crowding him on the bottom or something like that and then on the cool down lap, which they showed, Dillon just ran right into him.

You see, I guess that Iconic number must be getting to his head! SMH

The tie for the points lead is going to make the last couple of races a lot of fun. I was watching Sadler's in-car on Race Buddy, and he was dangerously close to reaching Kurt/Kyle Busch-level negativity towards his team. He didn't lose his temper, but he radioed his team after crossing the finish line to say "Pitiful. Absolutely pitiful." I find it hard to have much respect for drivers who have that little respect for the people working for them.

Something else I only just noticed about the Nationwide standings: Mike Bliss, with no top-fives and only one top-ten, is 66 points ahead of Brian Scott, with two top-fives and nine top-tens. I found that completely mystifying, so I looked at their race-by-race results. And lo and behold, it's exactly what you might think: Bliss has finished between 11th and 18th TWENTY-FIVE TIMES, and has only three finishes worse than 22nd. Scott, meanwhile, has had eleven finishes outside of the top 25.

Maybe I'm the only one that finds it remarkable, but I've never seen anything like Bliss's consistent mediocrity. But, of course, the real moral of the story is that Brian Scott sucks. I think he falls into the Jason Leffler category of "why does this good team keep employing this terrible driver that crashes half the time?".

Currently he only has 2, however he was able to stay competitive in 3 a few years ago when he ran Porsche RS Spyder's in ALMS.

Brian Scott won't be in JGR next season, and consistently finishing in the top twenty with the equipment Bliss has isn't exactly mediocrity.

You know how there are paratroopers that land in the infield before the race? One of them hit Kevin Harvick's car with his parachute and left a dent on the side of the car. :ouch:

I'd forgotten that Scott was out for next year. Good. And with Bliss, I guess I didn't mean that he's been mediocre as a driver; I was just remarking how unusual it was for him to finish so consistently in the top twenty, and yet somehow almost never within the top ten. That's a rare combination. I think the reason is that there's a much wider spread in quality of equipment in the Nationwide series, so that teams end up quite stratified and finish pretty consistently within a certain range of positions. Bliss, obviously, has mediocre (or worse) cars, so he drives them to mediocre finishes. Nevertheless, it's quite amazing just how few times he's been better than mediocre, and just how few times he's been worse than mediocre.

Prepare for long greens.

For the moment it seems like Gordon is romancing the track already; one of his favourite tracks.
The love-tap Harvick got from the flag hasn't slowed him down.

Many things happening, but the Brad/JJ duel could be the most interesting.

Bowyer and Kahne are also sniffing blood, and not far downwind. If them dogies mosey up the trail, there'll be some long horn-locking.

BBL. 👍
