Sad how it took a driver to take out a championship contender, then for gutless crew to gang up on him and then for said driver taken out to go and try and fight the guy, followed by a colossal screwup by NASCAR to make for an "Exciting race". Pathetic, and I'm only reading the comments here. Sickening is all I have to say.
I was more talking about the finish and Jimmie than anything. I don't care much about the fight.
If I wanted to see a fight I'd buy the new UFC PPV. I watch racin' for racin'.
(Although I'd be perfectly fine if somebody punches out little miss perfect, Danica)

I agree with RACECAR. Bad for Jeff to take Bowyer out? Sure, but it's not like we haven't seen that before. A lot of people in here making it seem like it hasn't.

However, Bowyers crew attacking Jeff in the Garage? Bad move. They are worse off than Jeff is, IMO.

If Gordon gets suspended then Bowyer's crew should as well.

I'm not necessarily reffering to you, I'm reffering to how many people around the net are saying how this is the best race ever or best race of the year and it involved all of this.

People are saying Gordon's legacy is tarnished here. Really? So Dale Earnhardt's 1995 or 1999 move at Bristol didn't tarnish his legacy?

Ahh, okay Race.
Also, from that Twitter doohickey:
@MartySmithESPN Just got back to media center in time to hear @Keselowski say the racing today was embarrasing and "F----- ridiculous bulls---"

The championship also isn't quite over yet. If Jimmie wins, Brad still needs a top-15 or so to clinch. Brad's in good shape, but he needs to do more than just finish the race next week.

I wouldn't be suprised if Bowyers crew members get in more trouble then Jeff. Possibly lose their jobs over that. Drivers fighting each other is one thing, but the hired hands can't be allowed to attack the talent, I see big penalties there.

Whats you talking about Mudd watch the video at about 2:00 in you can see Jeff ducking into the inside of the toolbox:sly:.

I wonder when they interview Jeff if he will use the same comment that Cale Yarborough said after the 1979 Daytona 500:

"It was an unfair fight, I was using both hands"

There's more instances than that too. Earnhardt's reputation was "don't push me around or you'll get taken out".

This is nothing we haven't seen before people. Don't act like it's a new thing to the sport.

I think Jeff wrecked himself trying to get Clint back... but he should have waited till next year to get him back next year. Im extremely happy Harvick won, RCR deserved it.

It's just another excuse for the anti-Hendrick conspiracy theorists to come out, because Jimmie wrecked so they can't say that Rick paid anyone off.

Nascar never makes any since with cautions. There was a need for one with Danica which we all saw caused a ton of issues coming to the checkers with the big wreck and torn up stuff. IT could have got ugly real fast!

Jeff took a **** move to get back at Clint for the season or his frustration when they were racing hard. I have yet to see a race where Clint ran all over Jeff on purpose at all and if we talk about Martinsville that was more Newman pushing Bowyer who had no where to go to not get into either the back or the side which we saw how that played out. I don't have one issue with Bowyer's crew standing up for their driver when another one pulls a crap move like head on into a wall, and it's a good thing Clint didn't get ahold of Jeff either. People can say it would have been a fight (which probably yes and some very choice words) but I really don't think Clint understood what was really going on til after the wreck. He didn't hide behind anyone either and took into his own hands which I like.

Joey Logano tweets he lost a lot of respect for Jeff Gordon for that wreck. Irony that THAT'S the driver who makes a comment.

I think Bowyer had that coming, unfortunately. Clint has knocked Jeff around twice at Martinsville, once costing the 24 a victory. I’m not surprised that Jeff felt that Clint had pushed his luck. Perhaps the next time that Clint races around the 24, he’ll think about racing a little more carefully.

NASCAR needs to snap out of the laughable inconsistency of caution throwing. For seemingly no debris, a caution is thrown, yet when a car is sitting in the middle of the track, no caution is thrown because the officials want to end the race quickly.

Sorry? Clint went up inside, Jeff was in middle and Jimmie could not do anything. That was racing. No justification for smashing someone up.

Bowyer tried to Senna Gordon. Shoot for a gap that was rapidly closing and would clearly cause a wreck. The push from Newman didn't really change anything.

Clint may have had a nose inside, but he couldn’t do anything with it, as the 24 and 48 were beside him.

What Jeff did was ultimately wrong, it created an ugly situation. However, Clint has unnecessarily cost the 24 a win and points on previous occasions, so I can understand Jeff’s anger. Plenty of drivers in the past have wrecked drivers similarly, it’s not right, but it’s not the first time and won’t be the last.
